Personally I think on their day Lewis and Fernando are equally as good as max if not better and in a car they trust and feel they can utilise to its fullest potential would beat max over a season.
Lewis is still the second best driver. No leclerc, piastri, Norris (lol), Sainz, Russell, or anybody else will be better. This dude has consistently proven that no matter how shit his car is he will get a podium. That’s some goat shit right there
After driving in an speciric kind of car for so much time getting adapted to a new one isn't easy. He is on the Top-5 drivers, and better then Russel, much because of his experience, but the bumpiness of the car and the problems he had were just too overwhelming.
Its more so a political situation with Mercedes and Lewis. Imagine having to explain to the board members and sponsors that you let go of the most successful driver (statistically) in the sport. You'd look unintelligent, and that would make you lose respect and build resentment amongst the board members. You also have to find a way to preserve sponsors who might want to follow said driver to their new team-which historically is the biggest team in the sport. Thats a lot of appeal to sponsors. You have to mitigate the situation and make it seem like your current driver is better than the outgoing driver. 1)Ensure the current driver drives a setup that benefits him, and the outgoing driver struggles more than ever in his career, 2) Give your outgoing driver subpar strategies, 3)Force him on tires he does not want to start the race with, 4)Use him as a lab rat to get the best ideal line during practice (that's why he's fast during practice and why his car feels better during practice)-then switch up his car and give that data to your current driver. 5) Above all else ensure your current driver finishes with more points. So as to give you a better ground to stand on to explain to the board members and to try to keep sponsors. This isn't the first time it has happened in F1. Whenever a driver shares, they are leaving, their form drops drastically, the same thing happened to Kimi. Lewis has fortunately shown glimpse of his ability this season besides this. This is coming from a neutral fan.
@@david-468Bro he’s broken so many records and has beaten people who were considered the best like Alonso in his rookie year and almost won rookie year. He beat Ferrari in 2018 who were faster, beat all of his teammates, and so much more. You could argue whether he’s still as good anymore but saying he’s not good is just pure bs
i dont think hes washed personally, i think mercedes is mostly to blame since they got the regs so wrong for 2 years and even now the w15 is statistically better than the w14 but it just doesnt agree with both drivers not just lewis. lewis has also been on record saying he doesnt like these regs and just doesnt like ground effect cars. it just doesnt work with his driving style especially. he has the skill still just look at silverstone 24, while mclaren did HEAVILY fumble that win hamilton was in control the whole race. merc just hasnt given him the car since 21 to be at the front, even if george's results say otherwise.
A driver/rider/athlete no longer in his/her prime if he/she loses or doesn't have enough of energy, movement capacity, reaction times, spatial awareness, mental strength, and so on to show his/her absolute best. Hamilton has more than enough of these. He is still physically stronger, fitter and react faster than his talent demand.
16:17 The thing is most of Merc F1 team's sponsors are there because of Lewis. Imagine how it would look to the current and even possible future investors if the washed guy that's leaving the team would beat their new star driver like in 2023. Just food for thought.
You're wrong tho. Most sponsors are there because Mercedes got all the airtime when we were good. Again Mercedes is Mercedes. The ONLY sponsor they care about is Petronas. To boot, with the new cost cap, Mercedes GmBH alone can foot the bill themselves. Just Mercedes things
@@moiseulpasmoi Lewis is bigger than f1, you have no idea how much money there losing. Sponsors dont care about russel or antonelli. While some are there just for merc, not all or most
I don't think he's washed, in race pace at least, both from the perspective of being a Hamilton fan (so there will probably be a bit of bias there), and I think from a more objective view as well, if I can do that. I think it's pretty much undeniable that he might well have lost a bit of his ultimate one-lap speed, which is fair, he's nearly 40, but I think, barring a few silly incidents (e.g. Spa 2022, Spa 2023 Sprint) his racecraft and race pace have still been pretty strong (though this year has tested that theory at times). He has said that he's struggled to get the ground-effect cars to gel with his driving style, so that will have played a part in his form in this era so far, but I think he's still shown that, when he does gel with it, he's still a major player at the front of the field. 2022 was actually pretty interesting, in my opinion. A poor season by Hamilton's high standards, that's undeniable. But if you delve a bit deeper, it's quite fun to look at. Yes, there was the constant experimenting with setups early in the year and he really suffered with the porpoising, but even in those early races he showed some decent pace. He mucked up qualifying in Jeddah, but was on for a decent recovery to around 6th or 7th before Mercedes got it wrong by not bringing him in under the safety car. In Melbourne, he was looking good for a potential podium before the VSC allowed Russell to leapfrog him. Imola was a genuine dud of a weekend, while Miami went the same way as Melbourne, with a poorly timed VSC losing him track position, particularly to Russell. He showed good pace in Spain to recover from the opening lap collision with K-Mag which gave him a puncture. From around Canada onwards, that seemed to me to be the point in which he started to get on top of the car more, and while yes he proabably benefitted from the technical directive, he still started to show his stuff more. This isn't to take anything away from George Russell, his 2022 was excellent, and pinning their pretty even qualifying battle (up until this year) down to Hamilton being 'washed' does a big disservice to how fast he actually is. But I think it is notable that, Brazil aside (where Russell was absolutely brilliant), whenever Mercedes even vaguely threatened to take a win (see Silverstone (might he have been able to run down Sainz if he hadn't been held up by battling Checo and Leclerc?), Zandvoort (stayed out under the safety car and was a sitting duck on older tyres at the restart) or for a more clear-cut example, COTA (hards in the final stint was not the way to go)) it was usually Hamilton leading the charge. That he went winless (and pole-less) for the first time in his career was not down to effort on his part. It was the same in 2023. While I think in 2022 you can make a decent case for either Mercedes driver to have had the better season overall (I think it's very marginal because you cannot count out Russell's consistency and Hamilton's early struggles), for me in 2023 Hamilton was clearly the stronger of the two. Yes, Russell had some misfortune, e.g. Melbourne, when he probably would've had at least a podium had he not blown up, but he also had some pretty big mistakes, e.g. Canada and Singapore. This season however, has been horrible. Despite his first wins since 2021 and some other good drives here and there, e.g. Las Vegas, I think this has been Hamilton's worst season in a long time, possibly his worst at Mercedes, maybe even his whole career if that isn't hyperbolic. I think the lows have been more numerous and even lower than even 2022, Russell's obliterated him in qualifying and he's been all over the place in terms of pace. The car hasn't helped (it hasn't really helped either he or Russell; I think last years car was a bit more consistent for them to be honest even though this year's car has had better results), and I think the circumstances (him announcing he was leaving before the season started and just how the vibe has been around the team as the year's gone on) haven't helped in the slightest either. At this point, I think he just needs to finish this season, refresh over the winter and come back strong in 2025. New year, new team, new environments, it might be at least part of what he needs at the moment. I'm going to be in an interesting position next year; Hamilton's my favourite driver and has been since I first started watching F1 in 2007/'08, McLaren are my favourite team. I want them both to do well but at the same time I don't want Ferrari to win, but I will be happy if he does win races for them (it'll be a somewhat surreal sight), and I want him to at least be in the title fight! I'm genuinely looking forward to it! Oh, and with regards to this weekend, with the 10 place penalty for Charles it's looking very good for McLaren with regards to the WCC. Watch them find a way to make me a nervous wreck on Sunday though!
I think ferrari chose lewis cuz of his 2023 performance (P3). He literally smoked George (P7) and all other drivers apart from redbull when the car was mediocre throughout the season. Also, I would like to link his performance afetr 2021 to sports economics; lewis had no incentive to perform well in 2024 like he did in 2023, and 2022 him being absolutely traumatised. 2023 was the year he needed to deliver and show other teams that it is not just the car, and he did. Personally, if he gets the right car and with his long relationship with Fred Vasseur, he has the biggest chance of winning the championship since 2021.
Ocon is in the same page with Hamilton. His gap to Gasly grow significantly. They both dealing with consequences of divorces ‘dump’. Not many have dignity like Ferrari or Ducati in MotoGP. They give equal treatments to drivers/riders leaving them.
@@dantejohns8077 nah let’s compare right now. Lewis’ worst season this year still has more wins than Carlos’ best. Class is permanent. Lewis is on a tier above anyone rn and can never be replaced or replicated
Idk if that makes sense, but i feel like after you get your 7th Title, the F1 Gods deny you anything after. Hamilton currently reminds me a little of Schumachers Situation in Mercedes from 2010-2012. Hamilton never retired, but still. As a fellow Ferrari -Fan i hope he cooks again, but my expectations are low. Just to be safe.
Problem is, if Lewis pitted, the SC would've gone to the end and Max gained position, so either way would've ended in a loss. The worst even is that he can not even blame Max, since everyone would've taken this chance, even Lewis.
Yes, lewis clearly became washed in 7 days. Cuz he wasnt washed in vegas but was washed in qatar 🤣🤣 Also i swear 2016 was much closer than u made it out to be. Wasnt it 5 points the difference in the end? But u preach absolute facts my man keep it up dude.
It was a 5 point difference. But Hamilton had been all over the place. Botched starts, grid penalties, a monstrous run of form mid-season and at the end, but the engine failure in Malaysia and his botched start in Japan proved decisive, I think.
@@motoracinerd5236 True, hence the grid penalties (e.g. two races in a row in China and Russia, and those were rounds 3 and 4) and the Malaysia engine failure. But the poor starts didn't help, and we know how much they can shape races (just ask Lando Norris or the unfortunate OG driver who had a reputation of getting bad starts, at least in the time I've been watching F1, Mark Webber), plus other mistakes and incidents like picking up damage on lap 1 in China, the infamous crash with Rosberg in Spain and hitting the wall during Q3 in Baku. It was arguably a title that got away, like 2007. He still put in some insane drives though. For instance, everyone remembers Brazil that year for Verstappen's drive, but Hamilton was pretty imperious that day as well.
I feel it's a Mix of confidence, hunger and Hamiltons driving style which was forged in the late 2000s and early 2010s not gelling with these heavy ground effect cars. Hamilton seems to be a confidence and hunger based driver. If he's not comfortable in the car he loses confidence, if he loses confidence he loses hunger. But we've seen when he has a little sniff of a good result it's like a switch flips and the old Hamilton is back. Silverstone and Belgium are some examples but remember that Hungary pole he got as well? His driving style has also been talked about extensively which seems to be common among the older drivers. Can't teach an old dog new tricks as they say. Previous gens of car had more suspension travel and weight shift under braking which could be used to shift the weight onto the front tyres and aid turn in. For ground effects to work the car has to be flat with very little play or shift involved. This is the cause of Hamilton's strife. It also has to be said, middle aged now. Most bodily function peak a little short of age 30 and then slowly decline from that point on. Hamilton is 40, and Alonso is even older. So even if he might not be what he used to be it's incredible to have both Hamilton and Alonso still in the sport at their age.
Talking about prime if you look the current F1 drivers today, don't you think they are physically a lot stronger than what their skills and techniques need to show their absolute best
Just like Lewis, Dan Wheldon felt betrayed by Chip Ganassi when they were speaking to Tony Kanaan. He went back to Panther Racing but couldn’t find his speed. He finished 10th and 9th from 2009 to 2010, a far cry to the multiple race winning seasons he had with Andretti and Chip Ganassi. He went on to win the 2011 Indianapolis 500 with Bryan Herta Autosport.
Duck you are far too young, chill, Lewis is the kind of person that needs motivation to perform, if ferrari gives him a championship car, he will blow everyone out of the water
I believe that Fred won't intervene between Lewis and Charles. Also I believe that Lewis is just a better racer and should he feel at peace with the car Lewis will be done with the teammate rivarly before Brasil. The only problem I think may arise is he doesn't feel very comfortable with the car and this year there will not be much developing it. I want to believe that Ferrari engineers will listen to him but let's be honest this is a platform tailor made for Charles so he is gonna have to adapt a bit.
People really think him going to Ferrari will mean he's going to win his 8th. Yeah no. This is 100% down to Lewis, old age catching up to him, and causing him to make so many mistakes.
So glad we have a soothsayer empath here. No doubt age has neutered him a bit, but how much of it is mental? I would wager a lot. There’s simply no telling how good or bad he’ll be at Ferrari.
At first I think he was super shocked at having the worst car since the ‘09 McLaren in the W13, and then after that point till now hes just a bit unmotivated to drive an inconsistent midfield car considering hes driven cars like the ‘14-‘16 Merc and ‘20 Merc. This is heavy speculation from my part but I don’t think he’s washed just yet.
Toto is a business man and has created a very smart game here. Whilst Lewis was in Mercedes, share prices and investors were still healthy, but if Lewis left aburtly things would have dumped hard. Toto knew he needed to phase Lewis out slowly, and the phasing out slowly was to make him look like he has lost form. Notice how Ferrari share prices pumped on new of the Lewis signing. It meant more balls for Toto to juggle and manage. Whilst Toto neutralised the Lewis appeal and Mercedes profits, he is in trouble from next season onwards. He is going to have to sell a lot of shares as Ferrari's goes through the roof.
I love how everyone’s making these videos like it’s some crazy new fact that you cannot be on top forever in sports. It happened with vettel happen with Schumacher happening with Hamilton, and will happen with Verstappen Happens outside of Formula 1 all the time
nah the coincidences are crazy literally the plot of cars 3 AND cars 3 (in english sub) has hamilton do a cameo - they were literally foreshadowing everything
3:34 FALSE! Robert Kubica was perfect that year, BMW Sauber wasn't and they were well.... stooopid (like seriously have a chance to win a championship but naah lets focus on future development) pain just pain
Interesting view. I already said in 2018, that Lewis will go to Ferrari and then retire from the sport. I think that was his plan all along. So I would say, enjoy the last years with Lewis. :)
Definitely. It should speak millions as to seeing a driver that has even far less than 0 incentive to perform at all at this stage. There’s nothing to fight for, nothing to go all in for; please tell me how a nearly 40 yr old driver that has been in the sport for almost 20 years would motivate himself to go above & beyond and outperform a car that has been everything but good at Abu Dhabi the past 3 years. Even Russel finished behind freaking Gasly & Hülkenberg… It’s hilarious how y’all act like Hamilton should be pushing to the absolute max right now. There’s no reason whatsoever to try even close to his best & really give his all. Just goes to show that y’all don’t understand even the slightest bit of the psychology of sports; Motivation & hunger are such a massive factor in high performance & theres not a single thing left to motivate a driver like Lewis right now. Enjoy the Constructors title fight & wait until next season to make such narrow-minded comments, lol
I genuinely do think he’s been in a three year rut. Think about the blow that AD21 must’ve been, and then Merc got everything wrong and didn’t listen to a word he said. Plus you’ve got RB doing so well and the newer gen of drivers coming to the forefront. And this gen of cars doesn’t suit his driving style at all (and yes drivers should be adaptable but this is a 30 something year old guy who’s been braking late since he was literally a child). I haven’t even mentioned the toxic stuff around Mercedes. Then add onto that the fact that he is older, probably doesn’t have the same drive as when he was younger etc. Imo when people say “X fell off”, they’re referring to a rut, and that person can always get out of that or ‘get back on’ iykwim. So yeah Hamilton sorta fell off, but he can absolutely get back on at Ferrari. Will he? I don’t know and anyone claiming to is lying. Btw something I don’t see people mentioning is how the real issue with Mercedes isn’t how bad the car is but how little they understood it and how inconsistent it’s been. Hamilton seems to be the kind of guy who needs to feel like there’s forwards momentum or a clear goal being worked towards. Think about 2013 when he first joined Merc. Even if Ferrari doesn’t have the best car, as long as they understand it I think Hamilton will be a lot more positive. So yeah, there’s no telling how he’ll do with Ferrari. Nevertheless, I hate the disrespect people levy towards drivers they don’t like. Hamilton doing poorly at the age of 39 or whatever does not negate everything he’s done till now. Go watch his GP2 days or his rookie year if you think he’s ’just the car’. People really are claiming he’s anywhere from an average driver to a bad one… actual clown behaviour. He’s still one of the greats.
Absolutely spot on. I'm not a neutral as Lewis is one of my favourites, the other being Sainz...yeaahhh that's awkward. But even so your final point about what is happening now not defining his entire career or tarnishing his achievements in the past resonate with me. All you have to do is look at GP2 or Hamiltons rookie and 2nd season to know he's special and that "It's the car" is just not the case. And it's the case with many of F1s champions. A car needs a driver to get it going. The "It's the car argument" can be applied to every champion that has ever won in F1 because to put it simply it isn't a spec series. We will never truly know unless we stick them all in F2 cars which is the whole point of F2 to have the cream rise to the top. So stop saying it's the car, stop being biased and discarding a drivers achievements simply because they aren't your favourite or your goat. While we will never know who os truly the best we have the eye test and the stats. Just appreciate the skill and dedication of all these incredible drivers.
@@Nox_Desireethank FREAKING GOD that there are people with actual working brains left in this world. Both OP‘s comment and your answer are so spot on. And sorry for being between a rock and a hard place with Sainz & Lewis, lol. Must be gut-wrenching when Hamilton announced his switch to Ferrari, but I still am so (almost unreasonably) excited to see Carlos in a Williams. Tbh I just feel like even if Carlos really did so well for the majority of his time at Ferrari he just never was going to win a title with them; or rather I just felt like they never truly appreciated Carlos & his immense talent fully just because they already had Leclerc & have been betting on him to be their championship driver for so long. I think Williams is going to be handling Carlos with kid gloves, will cherish having such an amazing driver to hopefully go all out in their future endeavors & finally build themselves back up to former glory!
@@connorestes9814 I didn't think Carlos would have proper chance at the drivers championship but I was hoping Ferrari could convert the WCC... That didn't go well... Gg McLaren 😭🙏🏾
I wouldnt say washed, genuinely think he is top 3 still on the grid behind Max ofc and Charles since this year. He is past his prime but still better than the rest. IMO!!! 2022 was a tough transition, from a great car for almost a decade to a mediocre one. Same thing happened to Seb in 14 and wouldnt be the most surprising if it happens to say Max in 2026. 2023 he was clear second best driver, i take 2024 as an outlier given him and merc relationship wasn't the best kind of like Ocon and alpine. Tbf sounds like excuses. Lets see next year to see if he is actually washed.
Click bait. If you can’t see there’s something wrong with Merc this year, then you’re either too naive or in deceiving yourself. 2024 Lewis is just a repeat of Vettel in 2014 - the team wouldn’t want a star driver who is moving to a rival team to perform well. Another example is the performance difference between Ocon and Gasly this year. In fact, interestingly, all drivers on the current grid who are leaving their teams this year are behind their teammates in wdc standings now.
because the *only* time alonso has had a better car than lewis since what, 2011? has been the first half of 2023, on which he scored many podiums and almost won a couple (i.e. monaco). lewis has had the best car of the grid for most of his career with a few exceptions (2009-2013). he's never won a championship without the fastest car, meanwhile alonso was this close to win 2012 with the *4th* fastest car and beat lewis in 2010 in practically equal machinery. plus, lewis wasn't able to win spa nor silverstone without the fastest car, so there's that. yeah i agree silverstone was great, but still, there's that
Some of the things said in this video are out of context with a hint of bias against Merc in particular. It's not as simple as "merc didn't listen to lewis" and it's definitely not as simple as "lewis was shit in 22"
i think it was mostly the car for him over the past 3 seasons, yes russell made more out of the car than he did. but you cant say his success was just from always having the best car, if it was truly just the car then max and checo would be P1 and P2 all the time. i think its a combo of good driver and good car that wins championships. good driver in a bad car hardly ever prevails. and maybe he is past his prime but i feel if he was given a more competive car from the start it would be much closer
I mean this video is fine but not for someone who has been there for all, 2010 was no way Lewis could even win championship, yest there was a mathematical chance but not more than that! And 2013 merc was 2nd in constructor’s after in 2012 when they were 4th!!! u don’t even know about what happened in 2022 which is recent knowledge , lewis was running experiments while merc left russell alone. Team themselves said lewis was helping the team. And when he stopped running experiments, lewis was scoring more than George. And also, 2023 he dominated george!
Hamilton had a very real shot at the title in 2010, he even led for a fair portion of the season, but his crashes in Monza and Singapore with Massa and Webber respectively put him certainly on the back foot, if not realistically ended his chances.
No he is not washed, others have just also now have good cars. In 2008 2 teams had good cars and lets be fair he won by the skin on his teeth. Had he been a corner too late Massa would be champion. 2014-2020 Merc had the clear best car with only Ferrari with a for 2 seasons Vettel capitalised on LH's inconsistent form. Those titles were never supposed to be as close as LH made hard work of them. Only LH fans exaggerate how competitive Ferrari was. Now that other drivers have good cars too, LH finds it too hard to compete. Occasionally he is the best but that occasional in a field this competitive is not enough to take a title. When he has bad weekends he really has disasters. With the same car as Russell Hamilton complained the most because he does not have by far the fastest car. Russell got on with it and delivered
As they say, can't teach an old dog new tricks. We've literally seen all the older drivers who were around in the early hybrid era slowly get phased out because the old driving styles that worked in the 2000s and 2010s dont work in ground effect. Danny Ricc: Struggled with the braking of the car Vettel: Just not what he used to be Perez: Speaks for itself Hamilton: Struggling with the braking of the car Alonso: The Aston is shite but Alonso has shown signs of struggling such as Imola and also stroll has been surprisingly close to him on occasion like in Canada. All of the old guard have struggled with these regs.
Id keep my expectations low for next year, if you expect nothing, ya can't be dissapointed lol Also, still tieing with shumacher is still HELLA impressive, no?
I think it is just that rhe the regulations. Especially the pirelli tyres that just doesn't mix well with his driving style. I mean in qualifying, he is often get purple or green sector on 1st - 2nd sector, but then fell off in 3rd sector, and + his car is just not suitable to his driving style too Just my opinion though
All racing drivers have to deal with losing. In 2022 Lewis got a taste of what every other driver had to deal with during the Mercedes dominance. The fact is he got spanked by his team mate and four other drivers in 2022. Of course Lewis was humbled when not driving the dominate car. I'm not a fan of the phrase "bullying" either. To me it's racing to win. The drivers are grown men and if they're not they don't belong in F1. It is a shame to hear some of the childish emotional outbreaks that occur over the team radios and post race but to me, the in cars are a real product of invested emotion and therefore are a bit more justified ... express yourself, then get past it and regain focus quickly. Your video makes it sound like poor Lewis is a child and can't handle life's adversities like a grown man. I'd say he has had a privileged life in F1, enjoyed great success with great cars and has every right to reap the rewards that success has brought him. I certainly have zero sympathy for anything Lewis has been through in his F1 career but wish him well in the future. Is he the GOAT?? IMHO, not even close unless race success numbers are your only criteria. Analyzing and studying F1 from the beginning might leave you thinking more accurately about the top 5 or 10 best drivers rather than a GOAT.
Not really. He was gifted a great seat from the get-go. Skews the results. He bungled often enough. Good. But the stats are excessive and largely down to being at the right place, at the right time. Contrast it with Fangio. That guy won about 47% (almost half) of all races. And became F1 champion 5 times out of 7 entries. More than half the time. He also did it with four different teams, twice as much as Lewis and Lewis would not even dare drive a single lap in one of Fangio's cars. Those were the days drivers didn't want to wear seatbelts because they would prefer to be slung out of the car at high speeds than remaining inside one.
@@F-Duck1 but if they'd pitted him max would've just stayed out and had the rules been followed max would've won under the safety car. Can't blame the team for expecting the race director to follow the rules
Nothing happened to Lewis, the car just stopped carrying him to wins, it's simple. He has talent and was world championship material before Vettel humbled him in the Red Bull years, then he stopped competing against other drivers because his car was so superior, got complacent maybe, but lost his touch and just passively won championships until Verstappen challenged and exposed him.

You're spot on, this is how F1 teams have been doing it for decades.
Yeah the take that makes most sense so far!
Omg y’all will literally say anything to glaze Hamilton , he’s not as good as people or media says he is
6) Starts believing in aliens and flat earth, since we're going all out with the conspiracy theories
Good point
A driver/rider/athlete no longer in his/her prime if he/she loses or doesn't have enough of energy, movement capacity, reaction times, spatial awareness, mental strength, and so on to show his/her absolute best. Good point
yea, they just wanna tell investors they let go the right guy.
Ocon is in the same page with Hamilton. His gap to Gasly grow significantly. They both dealing with consequences of divorces ‘dump’. Not many have dignity like Ferrari or Ducati in MotoGP. They give equal treatments to drivers/riders leaving them.

Carlos’ best season can’t even compare to Lewis’ worst
@@DeeLuciano-m9du sound so ridiculously stupid

Or maybe it's that Schumacher was 41 when he joined Merc, and Hamilton will be 40 in a few weeks
Nah. Nonsense. Schumi would never have made it to seven if Senna had lived.
I agree, it just depends on if Ferrari gets those new regs right.
can we talk about how good he was at the end 2021
Problem is, if Lewis pitted, the SC would've gone to the end and Max gained position, so either way would've ended in a loss. The worst even is that he can not even blame Max, since everyone would've taken this chance, even Lewis.
Yes, lewis clearly became washed in 7 days. Cuz he wasnt washed in vegas but was washed in qatar 🤣🤣
Also i swear 2016 was much closer than u made it out to be.
@dominicbarden4436 Yeah. Lewis was good in 2016, but not at that insane level.
@dominicbarden4436he also had the brunt of the mechanical issues in 2016 when Rosberg had none. So yeah, this video skews what actually happened.
He would’ve won 2016 if you account for mechanical errors/errors that he had no control over. But that’s f1 I guess.
Fantastic video, keep it up, duck 😊
😂😂😂😂😂 funny
I believe that Fred won't intervene between Lewis and Charles. Also I believe that Lewis is just a better racer and should he feel at peace with the car Lewis will be done with the teammate rivarly before Brasil. The only problem I think may arise is he doesn't feel very comfortable with the car and this year there will not be much developing it. I want to believe that Ferrari engineers will listen to him but let's be honest this is a platform tailor made for Charles so he is gonna have to adapt a bit.
Quick wrap up…this whole video is basically the plot of cars 3 near the end😎
Charles and Carlos casually race wheels to wheels every corner very often😂
People really think him going to Ferrari will mean he's going to win his 8th. Yeah no. This is 100% down to Lewis, old age catching up to him, and causing him to make so many mistakes.
So glad we have a soothsayer empath here. No doubt age has neutered him a bit, but how much of it is mental? I would wager a lot. There’s simply no telling how good or bad he’ll be at Ferrari.
Yes Lewis is going to Ferrari in the Perez role, to be the older driver supporting Leclerc. Not sure Lewis realises it yet
The last 24 hours of F1 news and drama has been WILD.
It happened with vettel happen with Schumacher happening with Hamilton, and will happen with Verstappen

I already said in 2018, that Lewis will go to Ferrari and then retire from the sport.
I think that was his plan all along.
So I would say, enjoy the last years with Lewis. :)
Well yesterday's quali for Abu Dhabi and Vegas should speak millions lol
@@connorestes9814 Lowkey trying to determine whether this supports my comment or doesn't lmao

Bro thinks we forgot Abt the 10K BET

Why are you not talking about Alonso? Hamilton has podiums and wins between 22 and 24.
because the *only* time alonso has had a better car than lewis since what, 2011? has been the first half of 2023, on which he scored many podiums and almost won a couple (i.e. monaco). lewis has had the best car of the grid for most of his career with a few exceptions (2009-2013). he's never won a championship without the fastest car, meanwhile alonso was this close to win 2012 with the *4th* fastest car and beat lewis in 2010 in practically equal machinery. plus, lewis wasn't able to win spa nor silverstone without the fastest car, so there's that. yeah i agree silverstone was great, but still, there's that

Some of the things said in this video are out of context with a hint of bias against Merc in particular.
It's not as simple as "merc didn't listen to lewis" and it's definitely not as simple as "lewis was shit in 22"
Why do people keep saying Lewis is washed lmao look at Vegas and Abu Dhabi given a good car he still has it.
i think it was mostly the car for him over the past 3 seasons, yes russell made more out of the car than he did. but you cant say his success was just from always having the best car, if it was truly just the car then max and checo would be P1 and P2 all the time. i think its a combo of good driver and good car that wins championships. good driver in a bad car hardly ever prevails. and maybe he is past his prime but i feel if he was given a more competive car from the start it would be much closer
Is just the car, people need to chill about it

The money ran out for Mercedes 😂😂😂
Lewis has won with non dominant cars
@@ashm2454 Ok, 2008 Mclaren wasn't totally dominate but even his famously fast team mate Heikki Kovalainen won a race in it.😁
So Lewis is washed but Fernando Alonso is going to be competitive in 2026? Lol
I think 'someone' bet me 10000 that sauber wouldnt score points in 2024 🤔🤔🤔
He lost his coldness with the knee garbage. But we can't denied he was on top of the world before this nonsense
@@FrancisFjordCupolaand fangio would definitely have step foot in the W11 if he could mate, am i right?
Drained of motivation and spirit his performances nosedived. 12:10
Every Pewis fan thinks he’s going to be number 1 at Ferrari 😂.
12:24 ok, I wasn't expecting that JAJAJAAJA
1:38 whats the mistake the team made?
Not pitting him
@@F-Duck1 but if they'd pitted him max would've just stayed out and had the rules been followed max would've won under the safety car.
Can't blame the team for expecting the race director to follow the rules
Yes he is washed old guy, can't understand why ferrari ditching sainz just for that man
Sainz is washed too

George russell is now the greatest of all time 😂😂😂

Hot take but maybe max is just that good 😅
Nothing happened to Lewis, the car just stopped carrying him to wins, it's simple. He has talent and was world championship material before Vettel humbled him in the Red Bull years, then he stopped competing against other drivers because his car was so superior, got complacent maybe, but lost his touch and just passively won championships until Verstappen challenged and exposed him.
Slowis washmilton 😢
WASHED?!
I can see that the cope is already starting, well see hes either gonna get his eight or hes gonna hover at fifth the entire year
