- Ai confini del Val di Noto, nel cuore della Sicilia, si eleva, sul monte Xibet, Calascibetta. Un luogo dove incontri la storia, l'arte, l'archeologia, la cultura le tradizioni. La cittadina vanta numerosi ed importanti siti archeologici ma ancora oggi è una perla sconosciuta della Sicilia.
La città è nota per essere stata, nei secoli scorsi, una delle 42 città demaniali del regno di Sicilia. Essa fu anche anche una delle 57 comunità ebraiche di Sicilia oltre che sede della seconda Regia Cappella Palatina della Sicilia.

Enzo Librizzi I went there a few summers with my grandmother and her husband. His parents and also his brother lives or lived there. You know Cariota family ? Must been 35 years ago now. I remember all the kids were amazed to see a blond guy , we had difficulties to communicate but it was a lot of fun and the kids were really nice . Those were days I will allways remember , moments carved deep in my heart. One day I will go back

Is there an agency or office that can guide tourists as to where to stay or visit in Calascibetta? My wife and I would like to stay here for 3-4 weeks.
its 15 minutes by car from Enna on the other side , . I recommend a 3-4 weeks stay in a hotel in enna first and can visit calascibetta every day one can. enna is a much bigger city with a great norman castle. from enna you have;the best ;view of the whole city of calascibetta. its very spectacular. first fly to Palermo or Catania, then a 2 hours by auto to enna. in 3 weeks you can also see the other smaller cities like piazza armerina , caltagirone and Ragusa and other cities ,each less than 1 hour drive and keep staying in Enna . you can also use buses .
