Thanks for the tips! I use Lavazza Mountain so the temperature will be at default 1 and the coffee strength will stay the same. The espresso is strong! I can really feel the differences between these coffee types. Plus, there are lots of possibilities for cappuccinos, macchiatos etc. I think it’s a strong machine for the price. Another option was the DeLonghi Magnifica S Smart, but I decided to go with Start. Simple, stupid and a little newer if I’m not mistaken
Hello, thank you for the helpful information! I just got the magnifica plus as a gift. I’m a newbie to espresso making and the dark roast Sumatra beans I was using in my grind and brew drip coffee maker is much too bitter for this machine. I tried to decrease the intensity but it just isn’t worth the time, so I’m exploring other beans. I went to a local coffee roaster and bought a medium roast flavored bean and a medium roast Sumatra and Nicaragua blend (they recommended). I do not like an intense espresso…but I do like the taste of bold coffee in my milk based drink, like cappuccino. I may like the flavored bean as an espresso but it wasn’t strong enough taste for me in a cappuccino today, even with highest intensity and extra shots. I adjusted the grind from 5 to 3 and it stopped flowing, so that had to go back up. I guess I’ll have to try the other bean to see if it’s any better. The beans were not cheap so experimenting can be quite expensive. I was wondering if you could recommend a nice bean that’s not too light and not too strong tasting that could be used both as an espresso (maybe lighter intensity) and a milk based drink at a higher intensity that I can buy at the market or online. An 8 ounce bag of coffee at the roaster cost me $12 USD plus tax whereas Lavazza is so much more reasonable. Is that a good bean and what would you recommend? Please and thank you.
Hi, It could be a bit of a pain at the beginning, and frustrating to waste coffee.. I experimented a bit with Lavazza myself, I found it usually a bit too dark and burnt for my taste.
I love my coffee strong. The tips in this video are very helpful. Can you make a video clip on frothing milk on a Delonghi Magnifica Evo. I kept getting a lot of bubbles. I didn’t have that bubble issues on Gaggia Breva.
Hi, Thanks a lot. It's hard to tell, it really depends on where you live. I tend to avoid any big brand name you can find at the supermarket. Best if you can to look for specialty coffee roaster or local roaster.
@@Cafelista_Coffee Not yet, the drip is better, but the temperature is terrible - only 50oC. I tried calling customer support today but waited 30 minutes and was still holding, so will try again at 9am on Monday. The machine boils water for steam, so it must have a way to get the expresso temperature higher. :(
@@paulam4503 It's true that first coffee could be a bit lukewarm but it should be above 50C. Preheat the cup and run another rinse cycle will help a lot for the first coffee.
Hi. It's 2 different world. Super automatic are convenient and make a decent espresso but nowhere closed to the quality you can get with a real espresso machine, and the Bianca is an amazing machine. It really depends if you also are ready for a good learning curve 😉, to get a decent shot.
Depends on what you consider to be a better machine. Are you looking for a machine that produces a better shot? In which case, Jura machines are highly regarded. After Jura, the next highest regarded brands would be De’Longhi and Gaggia. If you’re looking for an easy to maintain machine, I can only speak to my experience with my Gaggia Brera. I purchased it used and had to give it a thorough deep clean because the previous owner didn’t maintain it at all by the looks of it. The brew unit was easy to clean and lubricate. The newer (made after 2013?) versions have an “automatic” descaling feature. I also disassembled, cleaned and recalibrated the grinding unit which was surprisingly easy to do.
❓How do you like your espresso ?
1:Strong, full body, lots of crema
2:Lighter, less intensity
Let me know in the comments !
Good tips thanks
Happy to help!
Just got this machine. Thanks for the great tips! I like strong and intense espresso.
Glad it helped ! That's how I like mine too ;)
Nice video, in the grinder will the lower grinder number make stronger coffee? Thank you
Hi,
Thanks for the comment, yes that is the idea ;)
That is what I hear and consistant with everyone that owns one. I will buy one in a few months and keep the delonghi as backup
Great idea!

Thanks for your message. I had that subject in mind for a while. I'll try to record it soon. I'll let you know when it's up.
You really give good advice but can you do that in exercise and which Coffe company type you recommend

I bought this machine today and I'm disappointed with the result. But I will try all your tips tomorrow and hope I can fix it. 🤞
Strong and intense for sure!
Hey,
Did you manage to get a better espresso ?
I published this video that could be helpful too : ua-cam.com/video/3q3o8DVgPg0/v-deo.html

How does the delonghi you have compare to the Lelit Bianca. I have a delonghi magnifica S and very serious in a Lelit Bianca.

We have bought the magnifica start.. i like a light coffee.. and my husband a strong one... not so easy
Yea not easy. I'd set it up for a proper (and stronger espresso) and you can add a bit of water if it's too strong ;)
Can you please repeat all that, I was too busy staring into your eyes 🥰
😃😃
Is there a better machine than Terra Kaffe to-01?
I love all of the modes, but the maintenance on the machine is ALOT of upkeep
Have you look for a Delonghi for exemple?
