What a humble fellow! All those stories about when you started playing were really interesting. From most people you only ever hear "ez" and cocky crap like that, and they would never admit that they had to play a lot to get that good.

The air dribble is the easy part. The jump off the wall and the angle you hit the ball from whilst doing it are the only hard parts. If you get the jump down, the air dribble will come by itself.

If you set it up well, 'dribbling' the ball towards the goal isn't too hard, but I still struggle just with getting the ball off the ball and in a good position
lol no it isn't, its difficult to hit the ball in just the right place, the power is pretty easy to learn, but learning to hit the ball in exactly the right place in the air is very difficult.
Not true. I mean sure you can easily get a lazy airdribble in from going up the wall near the midline after hitting it off the wall right but that's not mastering airdribbles. Being able to start airdribbles from anywhere and toy with the ball in the air while you're airdribbling takes a lot more effort and is needed to actually make the air dribble useful in competitive scenarios.

Kro man quick question - i have a bad habit of dodging into the ball nearly all the time, trying to get a solid hit, but often it results in me missing the shot or wiffing the ball completely. How can I get a solid clear in defense without needing to side or forward dodge into the ball?

for me it took like 500-821.83444 Hours. So dont give up if you think "wooow i think i will never play so much" so u dont even try it.
Kronovi is also just a person, so its not like , if he needs 1000hours for that, then i need like 2times as much.
So as a reference, for me it took like 750hours
its also important, what car to chose. A really good car for dribbling is Octane. Its also good for air dribbling.
