I had a 93 before one of these too, the quality difference is night and day. Ride was superior also I found, and oddly seemed much more room in the merc when I think the saab was longer
I bought this same car for 6k and you tube the problems and fixed them all great deal having ing fun now
i have an 08 9-3, which is great, but I also bought an 03 clk 500 also amg package. and its amazing. got the car straight piped. only have the first cats, the rest is straight piped and it sounds amazing. and since my car is not convertible its not droney or anything.
Cool! I'm sure the exhaust on your car sounds great, it's a great engine. With mine, you do get an annoying drone at idle with the top down

I would definitely reccomend if you're looking for a car in this class. It has a really good balance of nice, usable features and gadgets, but it's not too complex. It has plenty of power for spirited driving, but not too much to keep it from being a nice everyday car. You are right, a 500 in Mars red is very rare
You should’ve bought the CLK550. Has 82 more horses and almost 100 more torque. I used to own a 500 and now I have a tuned 550. Big difference all the way around.
That's my plan actually, I will at some point have either a CLK 55 or an E550 Cabrio
I have a 550 Coupe and before that I had a C55, the CLK550 is a decent bit faster than the Amg

You should be fine. Check the seats though, they are not very wide, and have stiff, non - adjustable side bolsters. Also, there is no lumbar adjustment without the very rare orthapedic seat package. Thanks for watching

It wasn't expensive, it was part of a work trade agreement
is the amg package supercharged? whats in the package?
Basically, the CLK 500 and the CLK 350 could be optioned with the AMG package, and I want to be clear it’s not a AMG car, it’s an AMG package. It included AMG wheels, a different front and rear bumper, different exhaust, different side skirts, and that’s about it. The CLK 55, which is a real AMG car, had a supercharged 5.4 L V8 motor, plus all of the trim that the other models got with the AMG package.

I got it through a horse trade so to speak. 8-12k US seems to be the range

You are absolutely right! When I was filming, I confused the torque of this car with another one I was driving around that time, and I never changed it in the edit. Later when I reviewed the specs I was pleasantly surprised all over again!!
