- Today we are headed back to a Hollywood Studios for an Italian lunch. Located in the back of the park by Muppets, this table service restaurant has been a staple in the park for years. Speaking of years, it has been many of them since we last ate here and we are excited to find out how it is. Enjoy!

We finally tried this restaurant recently for our first time. I checked out lots of reviews before we went. I was apprehensive because the reviews overall were not very good. But we were so pleasantly surprised! We had such a wonderful experience. Our drinks, food, and service were all great. The atmosphere was cozy. We had a very enjoyable dinner. We would definitely go back! Great video!

We had the a similar experience just that the food used to be better quality than it currently is.
I just want a quiet place to have some wine, so I think I'll book here on my Sept solo trip. LOL!

Good review. Italian is always tough because everyone has their favorite local joint that nowhere else stacks up to. We put off Mama Melrose for years and years but when we finally went we were a little suprised to find it above average.

Mama Melrose is a solid choice at Hollywood Studios for sure. Definitely not the best but not the worst option either. 😊

Hi Dan and Leslie! Thought - do you always tell your server when you have previously dined in a location? I feel your servers almost never give you a backstory, but maybe it's because you have heard it before. Maybe not 🤷♂️ Thank you for another lovely review! Hope you had a restful holiday.
That makes sense. I don’t think “telling a backstory” is descriptive enough for what we mean. There are servers that do all the right things and wait on you appropriately. And then there are servers that make you feel like you’re part of their family and make you feel welcomed into the restaurant as if the owner was welcoming you into their home. If you’ve ever had a server make you feel like you were their sole focus and that you were an invited guest into an experience that they were proud to share with you…that’s what we mean. It goes way beyond bringing food and keeping glasses from getting empty. Hope that makes sense.

I wouid like to see them give the Muppets a little love and turn Mama Melrose's into a Muppet Character Dining Location. I would also like to see Star Tours become part of Muppet Square too. It sits right behind Pizza Rizzo and could be easily connected to Muppet Square.
That would be cool!
