It's so sad about what happened in New Orleans. The levees were never ment to hold back flood waters from a hurricane of Katrina's class. Great Video. However I disagree with your reason for the New Orleans disaster. You may see it as being caused by a levee failure. I see it as being caused by people building below Sea Level, next to the Sea in a Hurricane prone area. The chances of a levee in that situation NOT Failing are next to Zero. It wasn't a matter of IF. It was a matter of WHEN. Take Care All
It's important to remember New Orleans was founded in the early 18th century. It was not below sea level at that time. Levees kept the Mississippi from flooding the city for centuries. Levees are utilized all over the world since most major cities are by a large body of water or river used for essential transportation. There have been very few levee failures statistically but they do require maintenance. Recent increases in sea level & topical storm occurrence & intensity are making the entire Gulf & Atlantic seaboard more challenging to protect. NYC is at very significant risk for severe flooding but moving it or surrounding it with levees is untenable. Larger US metropolitan areas not located on an ocean, lake or river are probably at risk from tornadoes & other severe storm damage. So where is an ideal place to build? All areas have some risk in this country. Wildland fires, drought & geothermal events are the greatest risks in the western states. Severe weather & flooding in the midwest & Gulf & Atlantic coasts. Maybe people will migrate back to the Rust Belt since the Great Lakes area presents some of the lowest risks from natural disaster.

I was thinking the same. There were multiple people who knew that explosive material was being stored there for many years.
Big bang
Thank you for naming the Communist USSR as Chernobyl culprit! It had already absorbed Ukraine and disappeared it from the map on top of murdering 6 to 12 Ukrainians in the Holodomor. The monster dictatorship typically hushed up the Chernobyl disaster lest its own non-existent reputation be soiled.
They VENTED TCP?!?! How are you making TCP with no knowledge of what happens when you vent heated TCP. I don’t think you could. Was it accidentally released due to the pressure or did they relieve the pressure by venting it. Dang. That’s a POP
Did the Exxon Valdez boat, seriously say Wilmington, Delaware on it?????
Anybody saw the face from the fire? It’s creepy 😱😱

'Nitro-cotton' - otherwise known as Gun Cotton, still used to make smokeless gun powder for small arms as well as artillery. From around 1900 to the 1930's it was also the standard filling for torpedo warheads and continued to be used as a military demolitions explosive into WW2. It will explode even when wet - torpedo fillings were 'wet' gun cotton with a small dry booster that held the detonator. It was probably the cause of numerous warship losses such as the USS Maine, HMS Vanguard, IJNS Mutsu, due to poor quality or 'old' powder or just plain negligent handling.
It's pronounced 'Exxon Valdeeeeez'
I think you forgot one. Beirut Lebanon
I want to use energy effectively ♨=3

Letting in too many refugees into a system that wasn't made to handle that many people arriving.
Results were rise in crime due failed intigration, beiing unable to work as an refugee for several years and being exploited by local clans or even joining due to the reasons above.

3:19 Then get the rid of powerlines!
Or put them underground
@@mathew85 Exactly my point, and what we've done here in Denmark.
Only a few high voltage powerlines are still on masts.
I've haven't had a single power outage in 23 years.
@@JohnJohansen2 Yes, majority of power companies in the U.S. are in the process of putting them underground. But the U.S. and a lot of its states, including California (where the fire occured), are much much larger than Denmark. It cost a lot of money to go out and put the lines underground and take down the old ones. But on a better note, all new power lines in the states are being put underground:)
Where is the explosion in Beirut in this video?
I remember the wild fire in California it got within 100 feet of my girlfriends house
There is no such thing as "rezorses"!!!!
New Orleans shouldn’t exist at all. Just get rid of the city
Valdeez, not Valdehz. Just FYI.😇
I was 13 when Chernobyl happened.
Number 1: humans
This video shows the power of money and the greed of politicans. All governments around the world are run by greedy people, why do you think they want to work in government? Politicians use to work for the people but now a day, they only for themselves. This is the main problem with humanity, people had lost their moral. What happens to our pride, dignity and honor ? Humanity is worse than the animals they share this planet with. I guess now our young generation can see the true face of our politicians and governments and change or else they wouldn't have a future. We tell the world how much we love our children but we left behind a miserable and trash world for them. I hope they see how their seniors selfishness ruined the world and don't follow the old generation doing and make their world a better place than their predecessors. Remember, selfishness will lead to diminish, together will be unstoppable.
3:30 so power lines are not man made?
