Well the AOE HP burn is crucial. You gotta remember not everyone has royal guards or coldhearts. Ultimate Galek will help if you have the right team with no AOE damage. You also build ultimate galek with only speed/accuracy and no critical damage or attack for spiders 20. You don't want him to kill the spiderlings with his actual attack. So all in all a bad representation of a character that is very good at killing spider 20 when you use the right team for it. He also has a bunch of turn meter pushback btw. So I'm rather disappointed at your review here. I think it's better if you showcase his strengths and how/where he can help players instead of just showing circumstances where he fails. For many players who have no luck with royal guard or coldheart pulling he is the exact tool they need to clear spiders 20.
@@0x_Vlad I ran something like that yes. Spirit host+tayrel+coldheart+ugalek+psylar (retribution lifesteal tank) Not optimal either as Psylar will slowly kill the spiders with her AOE. I think the intent for giving these characters out for free, is to encourage new players to join. He might be useless in end game lvl 20 runs, but for a brand new account, he's better than the other starting characters. This is released just in time for kids on Christmas break from school. They see a commercial, get 'free' game, ask mom to put in amazon prime info, gets to show off Epic character to friend...best Christmas ever; in my opinion.

I mean i know you know but why put him in a team to showcase him in Spiders when you know its not a good team to base around him. You need spiderlings to take their turns to damage the boss yet you bring aoe champs to destroy them and defeat the purpose of the whole Aoe Hp burn strategy.
Ult. Galek helped me get through spider 19 and 20 and I can barely auto spider 20. No books and only level 50. My team is Duchess Lilitu, CH, Rearguard Sergeant, Ult. Galek, and Apothecary.
I like that you did a video on him Altho I do hope you can do a follow up on just spider 20 (or under) with him - just remove Frank & Coldheart People have had good success with him.
That bellower stun stuff was holding back Gaelic big time.. spiderlings need to take there turns to get those mass burns off. I dunno he’s def not amazing but if you’re tuck on 20 he would definitely get you past it
i dont know what do you mean. spiderlings get stunned so they wont attack but they still pass their turn so that's not the problem. The problem is that HP burn alone wont help you pass spider. Believe me, i have a Venus. You need a tanky team and be able to prevent the big spider from healing herself if you go with HP burn strategy.
@@Reaperszs Man if you have venus and you're not passing spiders the hp burn route there's a miscalculation. I'll address Stews team. Stew had ch, stun Bellower, Apoth, frank, galek 2.0. He said previously in the video that he prioritize his aoe first(remember now he's needs atk up to place hp burn) so you need to pair him with a champ who can provide atk up on him. Stew was unable to get hp burn on any of the spiderlings because of this. So take out stun Bellower put in atk up.
Stew! This guy is op. I used him to get through spiders 17-20(no masteries, 5 star, shit gear, unbooked). The secret to using him to auto spider is to use a 2 point auto clicker(one on replay and one on spider targeting). That way he uses his self buff first before the aoe burn. The blue stacks autoclicker has this option.

With just the champs you mentioned, here's what I would do:For the lineup use nick, galek, ch, rhazin, mm. Don't worry about ATK on your Ultimate Galek. Just get his accuracy as high as you can, make his crit rate 100%(crit damage doesnt matter), and make his speed so he goes after sir nick and after coldheart(but before miscreated monster). Try this team out(manual): Sir Nick goes first(use unkillable, or shield if your team can survive until his next turn), Rhazin goes next(use weaken+def down), coldheart(use normal attack), Galek(use his a2 self buff), miscreated monster a1. Let the spider attack. Then use st nick's shield(or unkillable if you used the shield last turn), coldheart's heartseeker, rhazin regular attack, galek's mass hp burn, renegade's cooldown reduction(if you have her). After that keep it going but use Rhazin's bog down in this rotation, as well as miscreated monster's shield.
@@bigboy1088 Thanks for the help. I did it. I used prince kymar, coldhart, rhazin, ultimate galek, and paragon. with rhazin's turn meter decrease and reset with prince kymar i was able to keep the spider from ever using the heal.

What happens if you pair him with a faster atk up? For example, a fast enough Doompriest seems like a great combo to allow him to place his hp burn anytime.
Ne needs some team synergy to be good. Apothecary in not good with him, he needs a faster gorgorab/Arbiter or Skartorsis so he doesn't waste 4turns doing nothing. Then we need a red tank like rhazin and a turn-meter reducer like nethril, psylar lyssandra and one Coldheart. That right there is a 2minute spider team on auto which is a massive improvement for most of midgame/ early endgame accounts.
@@greythanaetherion5519 Mine has Lifesteal and is decently tanky for cb so he can heal of his gs or from his aoe.(he should have 4k Def) If you use a very fast Arbiter or gorgo they can revive rhazin when he's dead. A lot depends on speed and how fast everyone moves. Also if you have nethril he can stun the little spiders every 4 turns. The battle can takes longer for me if rhazin doesn't hit his debuffs.
Really appreciate the information and the different scenarios, I'm really struggling with spiders, so I got excited and ramped him up to lvl 50 the first day to find out he is pretty meh. Lesson learned I guess. You touched on it briefly, but it's worth repeating: without books, if you miss the attack up and he blows his aoe burn, you are done for long before it comes back in six turns.
I think you did not try to make it shine. I am not an end-game player, I am in spider 13 and I keep UG in my mailbox for the champion chase event. So I don’t say that I’m smarter or more experienced or anything else. But here is how I would play it : I would want the spiderlings to take their turns to see him doing massive damage, so I would want to control the target of the spiderlings, for exemple with a good AOE provoc or a high resistance force champion I would also want someone to buff him with atk because we can’t ask for Plarium to think before releasing champions finally I would try to outspeed the spider and control her TM, for exemple with CH, lua or RG. To see if a champion can be great, you have to not hide him with an other carry, so people can see if they can use him even if they don’t have the other carry.
Not sure if it's a state of the game issue or what, but you have been super negative lately. I also feel like your account has been so stacked for so long you forget how good these epics are to low level or f2p accounts.
It’s kind of hilarious. Stu says ultimate Galek is useless on dragon, that kael carried it because his amazing poisons. But at the end of the fight it’s right in the screen. Galek did 1.7m a Kael did 1.5m, I really appreciate the Chanel and the content but at least you can read the screen at the end of the fight. The guy you thought carried the fight didn’t. The guy you said sucks. He did.
Hmm and on spider he out damaged cold heart... maybe you could work on looking at the actual results a bit. You seem to not like him independent of the numbers in your own video.
@@carlsonjf You're either too legendary to care about mechanics or not even close to dragon20 because otherwise you would have known that without Kael's poisons to destroy or reduce dragon purple health, his whole team would have been one shot to oblivion. Poison becomes the key to clearing highlevel dungeons, notably dragon20 and icegolem20 (poison damage skips the adds' revive). And he's right, bunch of other epics and rares can deal with waves better than Galek does, mainly because he stinks of bunch of failed runs. Now, find me a rare poisoner that's good as Kael. Or an epic poisoner that has both poison and the utility of AOE. Shoud've just put in another Kael.

true bro true, i started the game like a month ago and i dont have many champions, i got 2 lvl 50 and 4 level 40 but galek is my main, love him to death! couldn't get ultimate galek though bcoz i am from India and Indian, Chinese amazon membership doest work.. sad
Mine is seeker (whoever can put the atk up buff and go fast), rhazin (perma fusion so accessible to most people with time), one CH, Ultimate Galek and whoever can take a beating from the small spiders. Key is to not AE them and let them take turns and burn the big one, they kill most of my team ofc but it gets the job done. CH helps of course, but i wasn't able to reach and kill spider 20 before.
Stew I semi disagree with you here. I don't think he's good but I think he has a design which will help a lot of players overcome spiders. Arbiter, Tayrel, Ch, Galek biggie sized, and force affinity tank(nazana, etc). It's a slow process. I don't think he's good for someone like yourself but for a lot of us I think he can raise spiders success rate. Also my idea was to build him similar to a vrask. Crit only for skill other than that a straight tank. Edit : Isn't he the only aoe hp Burn epic(even though it had conditions) ? Also you team was missing a atk up champ to buff him before his aoe hp burn.
Low level paragon fot 'fixed' unfortunately. Spiders only attack paragon when he has high hp, or when he has 1 hp. When he has between 1 and X hp (where X is spiderlings damage), spiderlings always attack someone else. By the way, armiger doesn't work anymore either. Armiger now always use his a1 to try and lower Spider's turnmter unless it has less than 30% turnmeter, then he uses a2. F. Armiger fix is why i am leveling galek rn
I think the requirement for attack up forces you to use him with a limited amount of other champions. Some more useful than others and quite a few the player may not have. I think it would be better to change his passive to a chance, maybe 75%, to cast attack up on himself or maybe even the whole team at the beginning of each turn. That would make him less reliant on champions that may not work in your group comp but could still possibly benefit from other champions. The stun passive seems like it is geared toward CB or dragon, but he is just not a great champion for either of those.
StewGaming stew, check out my other comment here: trick to using him in auto is to target spider so he uses A2 before a3. I think plarium made him this way on purpose so he could manual well but not auto(so he’s not too op, but still helps people get through the missions bottleneck). If you’re using the bluestacks autoclicker you can set up two points, one on spider and one on replay. See how long it takes him to go after the start of the match, and make the click interval that minus a second or two(he just needs to have the targeting on for the first attack and then he’s good). It helps to have coldheart have just a little more speed, so she goes first without targeting(to not waste heartseeker) and lets spider have its first aoe attack before letting galek hp burn everyone. If you do this, you’ll get a full 2-3(with masteries) hp burn procs from each spider, which is insane damage.

During the past months you recommended to level up rares and uncommon that, honestly, are not really good or have very limited use. Now you are suggesting us not to level a free champion that hits hard and has a great utility for spider 20? I'm sorry but this makes no sense to me. In your dragon run he did decent damage and in spider, to prove that he is bad, you chose the worst composition ever. C'mon Stew, you know that the whole HP burn things works if the spiderlings are moving, right? :)
First spider team: what if you (1) replaced Frank with a TM reducer and (2) put Tormin in lifesteal gear with low health + the counter-attack mastery as a spider tank? I'll allow that you put a lot more thought into this game than I normally do, but the general consensus here seems that this video was sort of thrown together without really thinking through the strategy.
Try spiders again without the freeze so the burn has a chance to tick and see how he does. He is all about the HB burn and the Freeze just removes the burn, bomb, and poison mechanics completely. Not saying he is great but of course he looks like $%^t when you remove his best mechanic. Kael looks horrible when you delete his poison too.
Hi stew!..... Just a thought you might want to pass on, I'd like a clan boss log! So we can see . Saaaaay the last 10 attacks, and see who does better damage, in different teams. A clanboss log for your attempts, would be realy usfull, and they improved marksman!,,, his poisons are now descent!
I normally like your videos a lot, but have to disagree with the spider aspect of this video. There are plenty of attack up champs to set him up that bring other utility to the fight.
I stopped one of your videos for the first time. I'm 8.5 minutes in. You are describing this hero as not so great but I noticed he did the most damage in the two runs I just watched. Do I need to listen to whale blubber past this 8:30? Nope. I seen enough in 8 minutes to decide he is viable. Not a priority but he will get some attention and full masteries some day in my raid journey.

His ai might not be on an independent i need to get my att buff up to do my job. Doesnt mean he sucks. All these other champs you mentioning alot of people dont have and the reason we are looking up videos on him was to see how he coukd be useful to beginner f2p acct. My acct is les then a month old i got him. And vizier because of him warpriest outlaw monk and vizier i got 5.4 million on clan boss and was able to advance in spiders.
You make great vids man awesome content. My problem with what you do most of the time is putting end game gear on those champions you'er using in that content. How about using your ftp account and show dragons and spiders 20 because the people that need your help the most do not have end game or even mid game gear. When you move gear from champions who do the runs in 50 sec to rares who can do it in 5 min with that same gear you aren't helping anyone really but proving you have great gear.
Unfortunately I don't need him. I have a strong spider team and nowhere where the burn would be more useful than my current champs. I do believe he is very mid game viable though. Plus you glossed over that he did the most damage on your run of dragon 20, not Kael :D
Errr. Keep in mind new players don’t have any decent champions vs. the end game players with 20 lvl 60 toons and a ton of legendaries and who spend $1000s on this game . You new players this is a great champion to work on and use . Great for grinding 12-3 brutal and great for spiders .

Rushed to the point where he said “no matter what stage your account is out he’s not going to help you progress.” That statement is 100% incorrect... an account with no ignatious, UG can and will be a great substitute. Plus the team he put in spiders where the spider kings didn’t move so his burn NEVER ticked....

Yeah....not gonna have mine n that gear. I think even if u put sister militant in that op gear she would do damage I will use him tho simply because he has higher stats than base galek and he is free and I’m also fairly new. Ummmm....d 20 1,399,094 ...hes really good idk what your doing wrong here .. rea arbiter scarhide tayrel and ug 2.1 min run and hes doing more damage than scarhide (on unm my scarhide hits with his a3 with def down and weaken for over 100k just for reference) he definitely needs support but a lot of champs do ...if your trying to run with all rares maybe not the best. Choice but with good support hes really good..also the spiders need to take there turn for the burn to tick but with that and arena ice -t's proc on burn dosnt seem to be working right all the time so idk
He is good in spider 20! Dont use books though he doesnt need em. Just use some hero like gorgorab or spirit host to buff his attack first and thats it

Jay Walk I think the burns are very strong. Adding someone that can slow turn meter and cc and it should maximize your spider runs

Oh and he really needs warmaster for spider. It does a lot more damage on bosses then flawless execution. Also he works for me without books.

How do you keep Rhazin up long enough for the burns to take down Mama spider? Feels like my Rhazin would get overwhelmed.

You touched on it briefly, but it's worth repeating: without books, if you miss the attack up and he blows his aoe burn, you are done for long before it comes back in six turns.

I am not an end-game player, I am in spider 13 and I keep UG in my mailbox for the champion chase event. So I don’t say that I’m smarter or more experienced or anything else.
But here is how I would play it :
I would want the spiderlings to take their turns to see him doing massive damage, so I would want to control the target of the spiderlings, for exemple with a good AOE provoc or a high resistance force champion
I would also want someone to buff him with atk because we can’t ask for Plarium to think before releasing champions
finally I would try to outspeed the spider and control her TM, for exemple with CH, lua or RG.
To see if a champion can be great, you have to not hide him with an other carry, so people can see if they can use him even if they don’t have the other carry.

It’s kind of hilarious. Stu says ultimate Galek is useless on dragon, that kael carried it because his amazing poisons. But at the end of the fight it’s right in the screen. Galek did 1.7m a Kael did 1.5m, I really appreciate the Chanel and the content but at least you can read the screen at the end of the fight. The guy you thought carried the fight didn’t. The guy you said sucks. He did.
Hmm and on spider he out damaged cold heart... maybe you could work on looking at the actual results a bit. You seem to not like him independent of the numbers in your own video.
@@carlsonjf You're either too legendary to care about mechanics or not even close to dragon20 because otherwise you would have known that without Kael's poisons to destroy or reduce dragon purple health, his whole team would have been one shot to oblivion. Poison becomes the key to clearing highlevel dungeons, notably dragon20 and icegolem20 (poison damage skips the adds' revive). And he's right, bunch of other epics and rares can deal with waves better than Galek does, mainly because he stinks of bunch of failed runs. Now, find me a rare poisoner that's good as Kael. Or an epic poisoner that has both poison and the utility of AOE. Shoud've just put in another Kael.

This comment didn't changed that well since the battle pass came out with Frozen Banshee and Gravechill Killer tbh...but yea, you're somewhat right. Also don't forget that Kael got AoE wave clean as well, which also carries a lot. Good for you if you can theoretically defeat the dragon, but still don't because you can't go through waves..

PLEASE detail your spider 20 teams with UGalek that you are having success with so others can see. =)
Mine is seeker (whoever can put the atk up buff and go fast), rhazin (perma fusion so accessible to most people with time), one CH, Ultimate Galek and whoever can take a beating from the small spiders. Key is to not AE them and let them take turns and burn the big one, they kill most of my team ofc but it gets the job done. CH helps of course, but i wasn't able to reach and kill spider 20 before.

Stew I semi disagree with you here. I don't think he's good but I think he has a design which will help a lot of players overcome spiders. Arbiter, Tayrel, Ch, Galek biggie sized, and force affinity tank(nazana, etc). It's a slow process. I don't think he's good for someone like yourself but for a lot of us I think he can raise spiders success rate. Also my idea was to build him similar to a vrask. Crit only for skill other than that a straight tank.
Edit : Isn't he the only aoe hp Burn epic(even though it had conditions) ? Also you team was missing a atk up champ to buff him before his aoe hp burn.
Low level paragon fot 'fixed' unfortunately.
Spiders only attack paragon when he has high hp, or when he has 1 hp. When he has between 1 and X hp (where X is spiderlings damage), spiderlings always attack someone else.
By the way, armiger doesn't work anymore either. Armiger now always use his a1 to try and lower Spider's turnmter unless it has less than 30% turnmeter, then he uses a2.

Issue here is if Tormin had WM, you run into a too much damage dilemma, you want the hp burns to go off and not kill the spiderlings too soon.
I think the requirement for attack up forces you to use him with a limited amount of other champions. Some more useful than others and quite a few the player may not have. I think it would be better to change his passive to a chance, maybe 75%, to cast attack up on himself or maybe even the whole team at the beginning of each turn. That would make him less reliant on champions that may not work in your group comp but could still possibly benefit from other champions. The stun passive seems like it is geared toward CB or dragon, but he is just not a great champion for either of those.
Wrong! He is super usefull in spider. He is pretty much game saver for a lot of players because of mass burn

StewGaming stew, check out my other comment here: trick to using him in auto is to target spider so he uses A2 before a3. I think plarium made him this way on purpose so he could manual well but not auto(so he’s not too op, but still helps people get through the missions bottleneck). If you’re using the bluestacks autoclicker you can set up two points, one on spider and one on replay. See how long it takes him to go after the start of the match, and make the click interval that minus a second or two(he just needs to have the targeting on for the first attack and then he’s good). It helps to have coldheart have just a little more speed, so she goes first without targeting(to not waste heartseeker) and lets spider have its first aoe attack before letting galek hp burn everyone. If you do this, you’ll get a full 2-3(with masteries) hp burn procs from each spider, which is insane damage.

During the past months you recommended to level up rares and uncommon that, honestly, are not really good or have very limited use. Now you are suggesting us not to level a free champion that hits hard and has a great utility for spider 20? I'm sorry but this makes no sense to me. In your dragon run he did decent damage and in spider, to prove that he is bad, you chose the worst composition ever. C'mon Stew, you know that the whole HP burn things works if the spiderlings are moving, right? :)
First spider team: what if you (1) replaced Frank with a TM reducer and (2) put Tormin in lifesteal gear with low health + the counter-attack mastery as a spider tank?
I'll allow that you put a lot more thought into this game than I normally do, but the general consensus here seems that this video was sort of thrown together without really thinking through the strategy.
Try spiders again without the freeze so the burn has a chance to tick and see how he does. He is all about the HB burn and the Freeze just removes the burn, bomb, and poison mechanics completely. Not saying he is great but of course he looks like $%^t when you remove his best mechanic. Kael looks horrible when you delete his poison too.
Hi stew!..... Just a thought you might want to pass on, I'd like a clan boss log! So we can see . Saaaaay the last 10 attacks, and see who does better damage, in different teams. A clanboss log for your attempts, would be realy usfull, and they improved marksman!,,, his poisons are now descent!

I normally like your videos a lot, but have to disagree with the spider aspect of this video. There are plenty of attack up champs to set him up that bring other utility to the fight.
I stopped one of your videos for the first time. I'm 8.5 minutes in. You are describing this hero as not so great but I noticed he did the most damage in the two runs I just watched. Do I need to listen to whale blubber past this 8:30? Nope. I seen enough in 8 minutes to decide he is viable. Not a priority but he will get some attention and full masteries some day in my raid journey.

All these other champs you mentioning alot of people dont have and the reason we are looking up videos on him was to see how he coukd be useful to beginner f2p acct. My acct is les then a month old i got him. And vizier because of him warpriest outlaw monk and vizier i got 5.4 million on clan boss and was able to advance in spiders.

You make great vids man awesome content. My problem with what you do most of the time is putting end game gear on those champions you'er using in that content. How about using your ftp account and show dragons and spiders 20 because the people that need your help the most do not have end game or even mid game gear. When you move gear from champions who do the runs in 50 sec to rares who can do it in 5 min with that same gear you aren't helping anyone really but proving you have great gear.
Unfortunately I don't need him. I have a strong spider team and nowhere where the burn would be more useful than my current champs. I do believe he is very mid game viable though. Plus you glossed over that he did the most damage on your run of dragon 20, not Kael :D
Just run him with Gorgorab - he has attack up and is a speed booster/reviver anyways

Errr. Keep in mind new players don’t have any decent champions vs. the end game players with 20 lvl 60 toons and a ton of legendaries and who spend $1000s on this game . You new players this is a great champion to work on and use . Great for grinding 12-3 brutal and great for spiders .

Ummmm....d 20 1,399,094 ...hes really good idk what your doing wrong here .. rea arbiter scarhide tayrel and ug 2.1 min run and hes doing more damage than scarhide (on unm my scarhide hits with his a3 with def down and weaken for over 100k just for reference) he definitely needs support but a lot of champs do ...if your trying to run with all rares maybe not the best. Choice but with good support hes really good..also the spiders need to take there turn for the burn to tick but with that and arena ice -t's proc on burn dosnt seem to be working right all the time so idk
