    Hi Mr. Porinchak, I really wanted to thank you for saving my life😭
    I was on the verge of giving up on AP Statistics due to the lack of teaching at our school, but I have hope because of your videos! Thank you SO much and I really appreciate your hard work. I know it's not easy to film a video for an hour straight, but you did a great job on it. Thank you♥

      This is so awesome to hear. Glad I could help you get back on track!!! Keep up the good work. And I wish the videos on took an hour. The editing takes soooo long. But I actually love doing it.

      yes I would. I have to be honest on a FRQ on the AP exam they won't have a problem where they ask you to do a test and it is like a "gotcha you can't do it" because the data violates that condition. They just want to make sure you check it. Now there could be a multiple choice with graphs that would cause you to stop, and you would have to see a graph with major skewness or major outliers. Hope that makes sense.

    Hello agian! I have a quick question! Some of our practice FRQs we have in school has outliers. What do I do? Do I make a new distribution and omit the outliers?

      If there is a major outlier, then I would still carry out the inference test because the AP Exam has multiple parts to these types of questions. However in your conclusion mention how the distribution is off if it doesn't meet CLT, already given to be normal, or has no major skewness/outliers.

    Hey Mr. Porinchak for step 2 in these problems do we have to draw the sampling distribution or can we just write the mean difference and the standard error of difference?

    • @mporinchak
      @mporinchak  6 місяців тому

      You do not have to draw it, I like to because I am a visual person. Just identify the mean and standard error is enough.

    How do we know when to use t-value and z-value? How do we differentiate between that?

    • @mporinchak
      @mporinchak  5 місяців тому

      Z with proportions and t with means when it comes to inference and intervals.

    Hello! Just a quick note, in your first two sample mean confidence interval, I think you forgot to state your hypothesis!

    • @CodeWinston

      Also, I have a quick question. How much is it too skewed? I was taught to use a box and whisker plot but for one of my questions, I had a large whisker but a small box on the left and a small whisker and a large box on the right. If you see the box and whisker together though, I think it looks about the same. I don't know if that counts as skewed.

    • @thewhat2
      @thewhat2 7 місяців тому +1

      I thought you never state your hypothesis for confidence intervals because those are not tests?
      I did some frqs and my teacher said you would lose points if you did the wrong approach, so be careful with that.

      I usually like to look at a histogram and if the AP exam wants you to see major skewness, trust me you will see MAJOR skewness. I also like to tell students on an FRQ we are not going to give you a problem that was a trick and the problem is possible to do because the data is majorly skewed. We just want you to recognize the situation of when that condition needs checked, and to check it. Hope that makes sense.
