Santa Ana, California - November 1st-2nd, 2019. As a native from the northeast, Blading Cup truly is a destination weekend. Another year with two full days of skating in Downtown Santa Ana’s East End with 160 competitors from all around the world-21 countries to be exact however, what really made Blading Cup special this year wasn’t just about the global presence but the multiple generations that skated alongside one another. Those who started the culture, to the ones who took it to the next level, to the pros of today, and lastly, the next generation of enthusiastic skaters. It was an event filled with nostalgia and a good glimpse into the future. As always, big thanks to Jon Julio and co. for putting together another amazing event and huge shout out to everyone who was there.

That was an amazing piece of cinematic art. I haven’t been this inspired by a skate competition edit since the 2009 hoedown video that I still watch to this day. I have got to go and join in on the fun and excitement next year for the Blading Cup 10th year anniversary.

Awesome to see Arlo, Jon and Aron still blade. Takes me back down memory lane. Im 40 now and had Some serious back problems. The times on my skates were the best of my life. Maybe im buying new ones for a little cruising and prehabs a little grind here and there. Big love to this sport
@Zeb I picked up some Sways the other week too! Times sure have changed since I last rode a pair of inlines but damn if it doesnt feel good being back in them at 40 lol

I grew up skatin a box like that wit my buddy we would have skate sessions for hours and hours on it back in the 90s till early 00 pretty sad that the sport had so many people that were so great that will never be recognized

When I was a kid in the 90s it was so popular glad to see it coming back I've just purchased myself some skates haven't skated for about 16 years
i didnt skate for almost 00 years..6 monthd ago got me a pair of skates been practicing regulary and i been seen so much improvement never stopping again

I skateboarded for more than a decade and we use to make fun of or even chase down in line roller bladders. But I'm from the 90's and shit's changed but yea out of all the esports this is one that gets made fun off for doing what you do. Now you guys are bringing it up a step but yea lol. One of the coolest things about the sport is that females are on par with the males which usually is not the case with skateboarding or BMX'ing or even surfing.
The females aren't close to being on par with the males. You have to check the skate sesh videos to see the distance between the two. However the females are killing it out there and it's nice to see.

Alcohol, 2 divorces, a bankruptcy, and 10 years behind bars will do that to you. However he is still ripping it up like he always did. I might of aged better than him by looks, but I physically can't do any of that anymore.
I'm sorry but they gave it there all . But it's not what it use to be.... Most of these use too be close to a warm up.... But props too keep the sport going when it died . But true underground these is just not the same .
