  • In this video, we first define economic growth and gross domestic product (GDP). Then we investigate how we use real GDP to measure economic growth.

    What is NDP? Net Domestic Product
    What has happened to the depreciation of durable consumer goods since WWII? What is planned obsolescence? If consumers go into debt for junk designed to become obsolete thereby increasing cash flow is that growth?
    It just looks like growth because economists can't do algebra and ignore the depreciation on the demand side.
