  • There are lots of kinds of fruit tart, but you might not have heard of tomato tart.
    Today, we’ll introduce the fresh and tangy tomato tart recipe for newbie bakers.
    You'll find it easy to follow the recipe as this is a simple one.
    You don’t need a tart pan because you can fold the edge of the tart with your fingers.
    This tomato tart is good even for a meal, not for a dessert.
    Also, it has a fascinating look, which means it is a great choice at brunch or for guests.

    🍅 Tomato Tart - 2~3 Servings - Intermediate - 100 min.
    [Ingredients] 3 tomatoes (450g), 1 tbsp of white balsamic vinegar, light brown sugar 90g, a small amount of dark brown sugar, a small amount of rosemary
    [Vegan tart shell ingredients] 90g of cake flour, 25g of whole wheat flour, 1g of salt, 35g of coconut oil, 50g of soy milk, 12g of sugar
    1. Sift the cake flour, wheat flour, and salt.
    2. Give a quick whisk to the bowl of sugar, soy milk, and coconut oil.
    3. Add the mixture to the sifted powder mix, and stir with a spatula.
    Roll the mixture into a ball, and wrap it with baking paper. And rest it in the fridge for 10 to 15 minutes.
    4. Remove the stem from each of the thoroughly washed tomatoes, and then dice them.
    5. Add the tomato and sugar in a pan. After boiling down for 8 minutes, add the white balsamic vinegar in the last and stir them. Cool down slightly first, and then put it into the fridge to cool down completely.
    6. Roll out the dough into a thin layer, lightly flouring. Sprinkle a thin layer of dark brown sugar, and arrange the cooled down tomato on it. Then, fold in the edge.
    (tip. Before this, remove the moisture from the cooked tomato as much as possible.)
    7. Spread the boiled-down tomato syrup around the edge, and sprinkle some light brown sugar and dark brown sugar.
    (tip. Adding a bit of rosemary or thyme atop will make it smell better.)
    8. Bake for 50 minutes in the preheated oven at 180°C.
