When you see how involved Jonathan Davis really is with music, spanning over so many genre's, I just can't help but say, Goddamn this dude got out there and lived life!
to add to this, people need to realize that this was released when jon was finally released from his shitty contract from epic/immortal. if you ever noticed, the soundtrack to QOTD didnt have jon's voice because sony (parent label) basically OWNED jon's voice so he couldnt do sh*t without their consent. when the contract was done, jon did this for fun, released it on his personal website and that was that. its fun, he did it cuz he wanted to. its not suppose to be taken too seriously
This sounds way ahead of its time! Sounds like something we will be listening to when buildings are in the sky and we are getting around by aerial craft.
You don't remember Wicked from Life is Peachy? That was an Ice Cube cover. And that was their second album. Not to mention when Ice Cube guested on Follow the Leader, and Nas guested on Take a Look in the Mirror. So to answer your question, Korn have been having fun recording rap songs for nearly 20 years now.

Idky but I always forget about sh like this... Rock feed didn't really bring me here. But I like the way even nu metal artists... Are like, "🤔 I mean, I'm not sure what it means either." Also, random, random but -nevermind. I forgot already. I didn't really forget but it wasn't that important anyway & I didn't feel like commenting about it 😁...
Mumble rap Sucks Trump 2020 I can’t help but feel like individuals like you say Lil Wayne sucks even though Hip Hop is currently the zenith of music currently. Or perhaps you just hate all hip hop and rap music. I grew up listening to groups like Jack Off Jill but at the same time I can acknowledge Lil Wayne’s musical contribution. You also came to listen to this song just because someone other than Lil Wayne is performing. You might want to take a look at yourself, buddy.
not really, but good. I'm trying to figure out why there is so much hate for Lil Wayne, not sure yet, but he's consistently very, very successful, and artists across ALL genres have collaborated, so maybe his talent is in creating, whether or not you or anyone likes his voice or autotuning, etc, he writes, and contributes to the creative process, I would assume , in a way that lends very consistently to SUCCESS, which is like printing money, so this is what I tend to think is the case and why there is so much jealousy and mean spirited hate towards him, because it's not his lovely singing voice, it's something deeper, and fools have a hard time seeing that...
it exist, it always has, but not on mtv and not on the radio, its in the underground as always one reason its like that, is that certain companies like hennesse and gucci sponsor rappers to promote their brands through mainstream music
When this first came out I heard it on the radio and after it was over these black guys called the radio station and were saying crap about John and how he shouldn't have made his on version of this song.
What many of you dont realize because you listen to all music is Korn the entire band did a actual song with him as well watch Prom Queen. Real musical talent dont stick to one genre. And Korn dont listen to all the oldskool fans.....JDevil asks it alot ARE YOU REEAAAAAAAADDDDDDYYYYYYY? he meant the musical highway Korn will take you down
Lorien Davenport I have enjoyed a lot of the newer music by Korn as well as their older music. I've been a Korn fan since the beginning, and the way they have evolved over the years is outstanding. That's true talent right there.
This ISN'T the first cover korn has totally crushed better than the original!!! They did The Wall by Pink Floyd and did it BETTER than the original. And I LOVE ALL of them....Weezy Korn and Pink Floyd 😜
John Davis didn't make this cover to show he was better than Lil Wayne, he did it because he's a fan. You guys are hatin on Lil Wayne for no reason. Its a good song.
Jonathan Davis is talented as fuck and he knows he can get away with this kind of shit just for fun. He isn't trying to turn into rap, or be a rapper, he just saw a fun opportunity to do something new. Bro has the time and money so why the fuck not. Quit taking everything so seriously. I
"i make it snow, i make it FlUrRy" gets me everytime lol
Why did he have to use autotune his voice is amazing on its own 😭

I cannot take this song seriously for the life of me BUT IT STILL WORKS SO WELL???
When you see how involved Jonathan Davis really is with music, spanning over so many genre's, I just can't help but say, Goddamn this dude got out there and lived life!
Never would’ve thought I’d find this but Korn is hip hop influenced or nu metal is so makes a little sense
IM GONNA CRY SOMEONE TAKE AUTOTUNE AWAY FROM THIS MAN
Why is this not Spotify

no it wasn't, the original was released in 2008, 4 years after korn was released from immortal.
Ethan Peterson did you just agree with me and not notice? Haha
@@nugster no I'm saying that you're idea is wrong, he did this for fun yes, but he made it in 2009, 5 years after the immortal record deal ended
Ethan Peterson read the first sentence of my comment again
It's 2021 but I'm here
Knowing Jim Root of Slipknot is manning the guitars just makes the music world feel sooo much smaller lmao
I love this version so much more than the original. Props to Korn
It's actually a mix of people from different bands. Jonathan Davis is only providing vocals. In other words, I agree with you 100%.
This sounds way ahead of its time! Sounds like something we will be listening to when buildings are in the sky and we are getting around by aerial craft.

CHI, you are thinking of children of the KORN

Now that's definitely one hell of a RAP METAL $ong! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!
Steven Romas truth
I like this version better.
Criss Burns Way Better
I find it hilarious Jonathan Davis can remake a song and it be 100X better than the original version lol hats off to you KoRn
It was only 40% Korn (Jon and Ray). Jim Root from Slipknot/ Stone Sour played the guitar 😉
Jimmy Page i understand this an old comment but you are so wrong with this one
pugsforever wdym? Lil Wayne sucks

I want to hear Jonathan do more rap stuff. So far its just this and I guess All in the Family, as far as him singing rap goes.
Check out Korn - Fight The Power or Fuels The Comedy.
He rapped on You Mean I'm Not (Black Sheep cover). If you can find that.

The 48 people who disliked this song don't have money! KoRn can do ANYTHING!

Rock on Jonathan!! \m/ Much better than the original. Love the heavy guitar.
When this first came out I heard it on the radio and after it was over these black guys called the radio station and were saying crap about John and how he shouldn't have made his on version of this song.
Kaleb Leach HAHA! I bet they think JD is being racist.
I honestly didn't like Lil Wayne's music anyway.
@frylockkilla Hell yeah. This is a good song

Sing it, baby.
I love JD!
did u relly dude thats fuckn awsome
@p4nd4p0o you are absolutely right.
Yooo, uncle Ian going ham on the mic
holy shit
@lovehm1
It's more about how he changed the sound of the song so much. It has guitars, drums, etc. And because Jon Davis is awesome.

How hard would it be if wayne came on and spit a different verse!!!
haha i love john! he killed this shit ! XD
long live Korn!
MAD PROPZZ
how could he use autotune? he's such a great singer without it!
It’s the effect of the song it’s supposed to have a kinda robotic voice
Facts, but he used it, because the original song has it too (i know it's a 13 year old comment lol)
@@andrasprincz4287 I was 12 when I wrote this lmao
