12/27/24 UPDATE: As of writing this, Pinapple Boy's account was taken down, reinstated, and then taken down again, hopefully for good. Ok just to pre-emptively mention. In this video I refer to the characters by their color. I'm aware that the characters have official names, I just refer to them like this because the people that are celebrating Sprunki's cancellation/the people unaware of the hackings likely don't have these character's official names memorized. And so seeing as this video was made to bring awareness to the situation, I wanted to make sure there was little confusion, (as although some names are obvious [Oren = Orange] some are less so [OWAKCX = Lime], and I wanted to make sure this video is digestible to those NOT already in the Sprunki Community, of whom are the most likely to not know the situation or be the ones who were celebrating this initially. I personally think that this is fucking disgusting behavior. As far as I'm aware, blackmailing, doxxing, and swatting are crimes punishable by imprisonment. I don't really like or care about sprunki, but it's literally a game made on SCRATCH. Those are stuff you'd expect to see regularly, plus it's pretty good for a scratch project. This whole situation is really messed up. So someone with multiple n*zi references was doxxing, blackmailing, threatening and ruining the life of a 15 year old because he took some time to make a lil game in Scratch? This would be a very stressing situation for anyone, let alone a CHILD. I'd say to still put your stuff out there. This is worst case scenario, and on the slim chance it does happen, call the police and let them know what's happening. Even if you can't give government names, you can still let them know of the situation so they can help to the best of their abilities (perhaps even brush off swat calls as part of the harassment campaign, and use those calls against the people making them because we all know that it's more than likely they aren't using burners for those calls and thus CAN be traced)

Just for more info, the hacker who doxxed nyankobflol also doxxed other people, harassing other people, and impersonating another youtuber, which the UA-camr received backlash for something he never did.

I'm fairly active in the Incredibox community and I was there when this went down. To see a kid get so much shit on him JUST because he made a mod that got too popular is incredibly saddening. Poor Nyanko didn't deserve any of this. I love this community, but some parts of it are god awful. I hope the hacker behind this suffers consequences because this is genuinely terrible.
its so scary to see an artist my age, with such a big fanbase around their works, get doxxed for no reason. and it also comes off as discouraging for other young artists, and to some extent the fans themselves. i hope nyanko is doing well right now, i know very little about sprunki (played a bit and tried memorizing the characters names) but i can say it is a nice horror mod that does not deserve the amount of hate its been getting.
I had NO IDEA ABOUT THIS. i absolutely love sprinki and i genuinely thought it was a small fandom because of how rarely if ever get sprunki on youtube (this is the first youtube sprint video im seeing) i feel so genuinely sick to the fact that this can happen to someone and THE PERSON CAN JUST GET AWAY WITH IT!! like i actually want to do something to help but i genuinely have no idea how to. Okay, first of all, thank you so much for explaining the whole situation in detail. I've been trying to put it all together without success. Second, this is absolutely disgusting. The fact that someone went out there just to completely ruin a 15 yr old who just wanted to try create something fun, is vile, cruel and unnecessary. all of this being over a scratch game is unbelievable. i truly hope this poor child can get justice, and for the attacker to never have access to the internet ever again. I would also say something about twitter users using common sense, but that would be a dream we could not ever receive. And UA-cam? do better. you're controlled by the biggest ad company ever, and have the budget of unlimited money, and you can't keep a user safe even when it's obvious they are in dire need of help. My nephew loves this game, he actually told me about the creator being bullied off the internet- this is exactly why I don’t want him online anytime soon. I can’t imagine how scary it is to be doxxed- especially as a child.
to be honest i’d never actually heard of sprunki until watching this video. but i have been an incredibox fan for many years, and i have to say, sprunki looks like a really cool, spooky version of it! the fact that it was made by a 15 year old is really impressive too. like you said, it’s not the devs fault that content farms started using it or that people didn’t realize it was inspired by incredibox. they absolutely do not deserve what happened to them and it makes me sick that people think it’s ok to celebrate a child getting harassed, doxxed and swatted over a scratch game!
The police can track your phone from a call with a warrant from the phone company. Assuming this boy called a swatting from his phone, he can be tracked down and arrested. Stay safe, and fight back.
It is illegal, it's just that the people who do this are rarely ever caught, and even when they are they're basically given a slap on the wrist for, what is essentially, endangering someone's life. They do this because they know they're not going to get caught, and that makes them feel powerful.

This was made on Scratch? That feels even more impressive. Personally, I saw a bit of the game and didn’t think much of it. I liked that there was a story behind the characters and their personality, the designs were nice and the sounds I heard sounded good. Overall was nice but nothing to really write home about. But knowing this was made by a 15 year old? That’s insanely impressive! And to work within the limitations of Scratch? Even MORE impressive. I genuinely hope the creator will return in the future. If they were able to do this at 15, imagine what they could do at 25.

Sprunki was regarded as a pretty simplistic and primitive scratch mods by the current community standards in Incredibox modding, which makes it more frustrating since Nyanko afterwards has published several other mods that are MUCH higher effort and deserving of attention.
I hope the sprunki guy manages to bounce back up. This traumatic experience migjt give him a huge question. "Should I continue making interactive stuff? Like as in video games, mods, you name it. Because, if this is the reaction that is generated from their product? Why should they continue if it will pull their life in danger? Not just that, but their family. This type of a situation will decided if they want to continue, or not. And am betting the latter.

Thats the thing about doxxing, its cowerdly and easy. Its illegal but as long as you dont know the person irl they can get away with anythign. Me and my gf got doxxed once and despite it being a crime me nor my gf could do anything about because we didnt know the person.
The reason to Why sprunki blew up is because of 2 reasons 1: the characters have a colour, accessory and a personality trait to make them unique, so that not every character looks alike. This makes people enjoy the character more, as the more unique the characters Are from eachother, making the community more active. 2: it has a horror twist, which is very popular on the internet. Horror is very popular probably due to that people like what they havent experienced yet irl (Even tho they Are probably happy it hasnt yet).
I also figured out how to make your own content without it getting as much brainrot 1: The safest genre (based on everything in UA-cam) is fighting. I mean, you’ve barely seen any stickman brainrot right? The only thing I see when it comes to violence is… well, violence 2: If you want to make horror content, please make it actually terrifying. It’s the main boundary that keeps brainrot away since no kid would want to watch something that can actually scare them in the first place 3: Don’t make the characters look colorful. Seriously, this is one of the patterns I’ve seen in most brainrot. I men, look at Garten of Banban, Dandy’s world, Poppy playtime, and Sprunki. THEY ARE ALL COLORFUL
I’m not exactly a close friend of Nyanko but I am a fellow Incredibox modder who has friended him on socials. (I was sent spam messages from the hackers after the incident) I’ve talked to him a decent bit and Sprunki’s rise is something I’ve studied. Let me clarify something: Sprunki was at first heavily looked down upon by the wider Incredibox community not because of the corny brainrot. Sprunki by Scratch mod standards is an incredibly tame in both music production wise and horror content wise. Incredibox horror content has always been an over saturated space. Sprunki was just a humble little gimmick mod made for quick fun, which made the rise even more alarming. More so, it was frustrating how both the creator of the game and other modders would have their work neglected in favor of Sprunki content. Nyanko has made several other mods that were very well received by the Incredibox community, but Sprunki (a project stated to not have been taken seriously) completely overwhelmed the reputation of mods. Hell, Sprunki themed remakes of other fan-content gained more attention than the original fanmade mods they were based off of.

Never got into Sprunki personally, always saw it in my peripheral and figured it wasn't for me. My wife played a mod for it that she found through twitter and we were.. very shocked by the sudden horror shift, lol. Had fun messing around in it though. Both of us looked into it seperately later and yeah turns out the horror is embedded. Reminded me a lot of the various hyper-edgy gore pieces I'd draw as a child, inspired off the works of Kay2036 and BaniTheKitty. They were bad, didnt make any anatomical sense, were pointlessly bloody for the sake of blood. But it was fun. I had fun. So this situation is.. shocking. To say the absolute least. What the actual hell is wrong with people. No one was getting hurt, no one was being irreperably harmed. Someone was just annoyed and decided that the only punishment suitable for such a tragedy was to put a 15 year old's life in danger. That is not a rational response, and I hope the people celebrating it have to deal with the social reprecussions of their actions for the rest of their goddamn lives. I was aware of Sprunki's existence before it got this popular... or unpopular, back in the day where just small UA-camrs made videos about Sprunki and pretty much ignoring the fact it's a fan-version of Incredibox (which I've used myself before), and I genuinely liked Sprunki because it was able to do a twist in cute-to-horror that always made you want to play it again on either the normal or horror modes. So I'd say it was rather devastating to then see UA-camrs IN MASSES make videos about Sprunki as if it was some sort of addictive trend to follow rather than a simple concept that you could enjoy, and then content farms followed the trend as well. Just to say, you know a situation gets seriously bad when content farms try to get advantage of its popularity (at least from personal experience of seeing this type of situation repeat over and over again with characters that people see as "cute" and exploitable within very young audiences), but what made this even worse was when I found out the creator got DOXXED. Imo no one deserves to get doxxed, and even less if the person is a fifteen-year old dev who just made a cool bait-and-switch version of a cool game (Sprunki being a fan-made version of Incredibox as stated earlier). I miss when I could just see Sprunki as that one casual thing you like entering to, which unfortunately seems more and more like a distant memory the more this situation advances, and not necessarily in a good way. Let's make justice for this person who did nothing wrong but create something with passion and dedication, a thing that nowadays seems like some sort of crime in the internet for no good reason.

There has been a notable rise in toxicity that has almost gone up to cartoonish proportions. While Twitter has been known for years to have waste levels that destroys everything nearby, it has gone from people with a bad take, to seriously mentally ill people that are a danger to everyone including themselves.

I'd say to still put your stuff out there. This is worst case scenario, and on the slim chance it does happen, call the police and let them know what's happening. Even if you can't give government names, you can still let them know of the situation so they can help to the best of their abilities (perhaps even brush off swat calls as part of the harassment campaign, and use those calls against the people making them because we all know that it's more than likely they aren't using burners for those calls and thus CAN be traced)

I'm fairly active in the Incredibox community and I was there when this went down. To see a kid get so much shit on him JUST because he made a mod that got too popular is incredibly saddening. This was made on Scratch? That feels even more impressive. Personally, I saw a bit of the game and didn’t think much of it. I liked that there was a story behind the characters and their personality, the designs were nice and the sounds I heard sounded good. Overall was nice but nothing to really write home about. But knowing this was made by a 15 year old? That’s insanely impressive! And to work within the limitations of Scratch? Even MORE impressive.
I genuinely hope the creator will return in the future. If they were able to do this at 15, imagine what they could do at 25.

Sprunki was regarded as a pretty simplistic and primitive scratch mods by the current community standards in Incredibox modding, which makes it more frustrating since Nyanko afterwards has published several other mods that are MUCH higher effort and deserving of attention.
its not that impressive since the incredibox communtiy on scratch mostly uses a template which lets you add animations, sounds, and designs.

The reason to Why sprunki blew up is because of 2 reasons
1: the characters have a colour, accessory and a personality trait to make them unique, so that not every character looks alike. This makes people enjoy the character more, as the more unique the characters Are from eachother, making the community more active.
2: it has a horror twist, which is very popular on the internet. Horror is very popular probably due to that people like what they havent experienced yet irl (Even tho they Are probably happy it hasnt yet).
I also figured out how to make your own content without it getting as much brainrot
1: The safest genre (based on everything in UA-cam) is fighting. I mean, you’ve barely seen any stickman brainrot right? The only thing I see when it comes to violence is… well, violence
2: If you want to make horror content, please make it actually terrifying. It’s the main boundary that keeps brainrot away since no kid would want to watch something that can actually scare them in the first place
3: Don’t make the characters look colorful. Seriously, this is one of the patterns I’ve seen in most brainrot. I men, look at Garten of Banban, Dandy’s world, Poppy playtime, and Sprunki. THEY ARE ALL COLORFUL

I’m not exactly a close friend of Nyanko but I am a fellow Incredibox modder who has friended him on socials. (I was sent spam messages from the hackers after the incident) I’ve talked to him a decent bit and Sprunki’s rise is something I’ve studied. Let me clarify something:
Sprunki was at first heavily looked down upon by the wider Incredibox community not because of the corny brainrot. Sprunki by Scratch mod standards is an incredibly tame in both music production wise and horror content wise. Incredibox horror content has always been an over saturated space. Sprunki was just a humble little gimmick mod made for quick fun, which made the rise even more alarming.
More so, it was frustrating how both the creator of the game and other modders would have their work neglected in favor of Sprunki content.
Nyanko has made several other mods that were very well received by the Incredibox community, but Sprunki (a project stated to not have been taken seriously) completely overwhelmed the reputation of mods.
Hell, Sprunki themed remakes of other fan-content gained more attention than the original fanmade mods they were based off of.

Never got into Sprunki personally, always saw it in my peripheral and figured it wasn't for me. My wife played a mod for it that she found through twitter and we were.. very shocked by the sudden horror shift, lol. Had fun messing around in it though. Both of us looked into it seperately later and yeah turns out the horror is embedded.
Reminded me a lot of the various hyper-edgy gore pieces I'd draw as a child, inspired off the works of Kay2036 and BaniTheKitty. They were bad, didnt make any anatomical sense, were pointlessly bloody for the sake of blood. But it was fun. I had fun.

I was aware of Sprunki's existence before it got this popular... or unpopular, back in the day where just small UA-camrs made videos about Sprunki and pretty much ignoring the fact it's a fan-version of Incredibox (which I've used myself before), and I genuinely liked Sprunki because it was able to do a twist in cute-to-horror that always made you want to play it again on either the normal or horror modes. So I'd say it was rather devastating to then see UA-camrs IN MASSES make videos about Sprunki as if it was some sort of addictive trend to follow rather than a simple concept that you could enjoy, and then content farms followed the trend as well. Just to say, you know a situation gets seriously bad when content farms try to get advantage of its popularity (at least from personal experience of seeing this type of situation repeat over and over again with characters that people see as "cute" and exploitable within very young audiences), but what made this even worse was when I found out the creator got DOXXED. Imo no one deserves to get doxxed, and even less if the person is a fifteen-year old dev who just made a cool bait-and-switch version of a cool game (Sprunki being a fan-made version of Incredibox as stated earlier). I miss when I could just see Sprunki as that one casual thing you like entering to, which unfortunately seems more and more like a distant memory the more this situation advances, and not necessarily in a good way.
Let's make justice for this person who did nothing wrong but create something with passion and dedication, a thing that nowadays seems like some sort of crime in the internet for no good reason.

i genuinely feel extremely bad for the creator, considering that this went incredibly fast. i consider this video to be a warning for people that have projects uploaded on the internet that may get popular in the future.

Can someone please find out what Pineapple Boy's full name and address so they can send it to the police? Doxing a child would definitely be punished with jail time. Anyone who sees this comment and feels like doing it, make sure not to make their address and stuff public, just show it to the police and list their crimes with proof so that they can handle the situation. I don't see why no one ever tries this, it's very much possible if you live in the same place as them and are an adult. To be honest when I first saw Sprunki I pretty much disliked it, but didn't do anything with it by simply clicking do not recommend and going about the rest of my day LIKE A NORMAL PERSON WOULD. But after I realized that the person who made the mod was 15 and is receiving THIS type of treatment for simply creating a silly little game is just disappointing. You gotta know that the person who made this mod is still in MIDDLE SCHOOL, and the person who doxxed him is still in THE BASEMENT.
