Lakers won the championship then drafted James Worthy with the 1st overall pick in 1982. There was a deal that would've given the Lakers the Utah Jazz's 3rd overall pick too, but it fell through. Closest thing to that scenario we'll ever see in real life lol
As a hornets fan im glad someone finally does a video rebuilding the team that is actually good, great video once again Kenny love your vids keep it up!
To celebrate Kenny’s new love of football/soccer, I challenge Kenny to complete the NBA Soccer challenge! Create a team with these soccer positions and terminology, using their nba counterparts. Do a fantasy draft and use either San Antonio or Boston (whichever of the two has the lowest draft pick), because they share a name with two famous teams in the UK, the Spurs and Celtic. 1. Goalkeeper: Someone who puts their body on the line to protect the net. This player must have the rim protector badge and average at least 1.5 blocks last season. 2. Centre-Back: The leader of the defensive unit, they are a big presence for the attack to deal with. This player must have the Intimidator badge and a strength stat of at least 80. 3. Full Back: One of the most versatile players, being able to defend and start counter-attacks. This player must have both the tireless defender and the break starter badge. 4. Defensive Midfielder: The sweeper of the team, with the ability to dispossess attackers with a well timed tackle. This player must have the pickpocket badge and average at least 1.5 steals last season. 5. Central Midfielder: This player can do it all, doesn’t have a weakness. This player must have at least two badges in all four categories of finishing, shooting, playmaking and defending. 6. Attacking Midfielder: A threat on the ball, is able to pick out defence-splitting pass and score long range goals. This player must have a three-point rating of 75 or more and average at least 6 assists last season. 7. Winger: A fast player who zips down the side of the pitch, leaving defenders lying in their wake. This player must have the acrobat badge and an speed with ball stat of 75. 8. Striker: Puts the ball in the back of the net, no ifs, ands or buts. This player must have at least 12 combined finishing and shooting badges. 9. Captain: The leader of the squad, the heart and soul of the team. Loyal to his players. This player must be at least an eight-year veteran and have played for two teams or less during his career. 10. Champions League: The biggest yearly tournament in soccer. All players dream of being apart of this game. This player must have played in the NBA finals at some point in his career. 11. Penalty Taker: The player who takes the penalty kicks after fouls in the box. This player must have the ice in veins badge and a free-throw rating of at least 80. 12. Wonderkid: The next generation of the sport, rising through the ranks right before your eyes. This player must have been a top 5 draft pick from the last four years. 13. International Cap: The dream of every player is to play for the national team. This player must have played in the FIBA World Cup this year. Put all these players into an eleven-man rotation, the amount of players on the pitch for one team in a soccer game, and try to win a championship. Good luck!
@@tommasomelcea8642 I had never actually seen that video. I was commenting for him to do this video in late 2021/early 2022, but kind of fell out of love with 2k content, and only came back to the channel very recently.
Hoopgrids Budget Graphic 82-0 Challenge: Do a hoopgrids and treat it like a ballin on a budget graphic where you get $100 (for 100%) to go 82-0 and you try to think of good players with percentages within your budget. You can allocate minutes of the 9 players however you like. Please like so Kenny can see.
Kenny, that is definitely a bug you had when going to hire the scouts. I ran into the same thing with trainers, cleared my staff and then went back to hire and no one was there. Also Cason Wallace is my go to guard for rebuilds. On a rookie deal, easily gettable, and develops into a really strong defender and shotmaker off the bench. Love the vids my dude!
I rebuilt this one, I had a number 1 pick and picked up a 7'3 265 C with the ceiling of Hakeem HOF and floor of Dwight howard All Nba, and he is the goat, he's 99 ovr and has 70,000 points in his 26 year career.
Yo Kenny got a video idea… Jersey swap challenge: you can only trade for players that have the same jersey number, EX: Damian Lillard for Jayson Tatum or James harden for Zion. But you can also trade for someone that has done a jersey swap IRL, EX: Dillon Brooks and Kyrie. You have to 3 peat good luck. Day 50 of asking
Day 501 of asking KOT4Q to do the No Free Agency Rebuilding Challenge Rule 1: You cannot sign any players during off season free agency. Rule 2: Once a player’s contract expires, they’re gone from the team for good. Rule 3: You cannot sign players in free agency to acquire assets then flipping them nor can you use free agency to fill up roster space. Rule 4: No contract extensions or trades during off season free agency. Rule 5: Trade only during the regular season. Rule 6: Try and win 2 or 3 championships. This is my challenge for KOT4Q let’s see if he can complete this.
Challenge Idea: The 100 badge challenge - Fantasy draft - 3 seasons to win a championship - Can do either normal or no salary cap - starting 5 & 6th man have to combine for 100 badges only - 7-10 combine for 25 badges only Good luck
Kinda random, but one thing I love about the NHL is salary retention in trades. I wish the NBA allowed teams to retain salary in a trade. It would make the player movement a bit more dynamic and good teams could be more flexible in aquiring players at the deadline. Bad teams could retain salary on their players to move them, teams could retain a bit of salary on bad contracts to incentivize moving players. It would open up a ton more options for teams to either trade away players or make it more feesable to aquire players needed for title runs or for the future. Great way to get draft picks as a bad team with cap space too. Just a cool concept which doesnt really have any downside in terms of league dynamics, fan enjoyment and player movement. It would simply give teams and players more options. James Harden wouldnt be as hard to trade right now if the sixers could retain a bit of his salary or maybe Portland could have gotten an extra pick or two if they retained Dame or Jrues contracts cuz theyre gunna be rebuilding anyway. so many options if it was a thing.
@@Amm17ar I mean say you have a guy like Lebron in 2025 who is still on a max but isn’t worth it or any player who isn’t worth their contract they would use it without a doubt and make teams more inclined to say yes. Also players wouldn’t like it so the union would never say yes to that
@@McDonalds280 Edit: sorry for the long reply. I understand if its too much to read lol. I get kinda carried away. Good talk regardless. The NHL caps it out at 50%. so if a player is making 10 million, the most you can retain is 5 million. Which means a guy like Lebron would only be able to be moved if the other team can match whatever 50% would be. But even if thats the case, if both teams agree, and it works financially who cares lol.... Its player movement, players and teams having more options to get what they want. A player gets to go to a winning situation while still getting paid, team trading him gets assets and another bargaining chip to squeeze out more picks, and good teams have more opportunity to load up. The NBA doesnt prevent teams from making bad trades, thats on the GMs and teams to figure out and either reap the rewards of a good deal or deal with the consequences of a bad trade they chose to make without any league intervention. If Lebron gets moved and retained for a title run to a random team like the Cavs or Celtics and they dont win, thats on them. Its all just adding another factor to trades and financial flexibility. With all due respect, your counter to it is exactly why it would benefit the NBA. It works in Hockey just fine without being "abused". Teams "abuse" buy-outs literally every year. In terms of the players association, they have incentives too. Players will have more flexibility in moving, asking for trades to certain locations cuz their destinations might not have to pay the full amount but instead have to compensate with more picks or assets going the other way. If Im a team with a superstar who wants out and trading them puts me into a rebuild, I would love the opportunity to retain their salary to get more out of the deal if Im not gonig to be winning anyway. I think you do have a bit of a point in players union might not like it, but there are points which would benefit the players enough to make them consider the pros and cons. Players have gained a ton in independence and right to their careers, this just gives teams a bit more flexibility to retain some sort of options. Plus, the player still gets paid their full amount, it just gets split by both teams. It could change the balance of the league and have good teams be a bit too good, but theyre gambling more of their futures to do it, which is already happening in the NBA now. I think it would make player movement much more dynamic and add a layer of competitiveness on the trade market as well as the construction of teams. I think the pros far outweigh the cons, and if it could be implemented, it would benefit the league and playoffs for sure.
