visually, i always feel like lsf's creative team has way too many ideas they want to execute which ends up making the era unremarkable. other groups also do this, but lsf are the biggest offenders for me esp. when u add in the nonsensical weverse versions. i personally would've gone for something more dark, gritty, & chaotic. think poster girl's ss24 campaign. it begs the question, "how do u look so stylish whilst getting arrested?" sonically, i wish they delved more into rock & electropop this era. madison beer's life support album & charli xcx's crash album are my two main inspos. we can keep 'good bones' but scratch everything else. +i wish their albums weren't so formulaic. switch it up, it's a completely new era!
they have a set structure with their albums I've noticed, it is always to have: an intro, a title track, a bright/elegant/bright songs (blue flame, impurities, no return, swan song), then a more conceptual song with a unique sound (the great mermaid, no celestial, ep&tbw, smart) and lastly the ballad/slow song (sour grapes, good parts, fearnot, we got so much).
I agree. I remember listening to an Easy remix by 6ulletz with X-Files (G-IDLE) as the instrumental. While I was listening to it, I thought that if they went down a darker and more gritty route, Easy would sound more memorable and suit the duller and laid-back vocals more. I hope LSF gags us with this next comeback, because I'm starting to lose hope in their team's current direction.
Got some thoughts too (also as a design student): 1. I absolutely agree about them using the same imagery with the same blue in the bg and them in the front. While I do get that they were trying to make that one image stick to the viewers by introducing it in every mv, I feel that not only did they not succeed, they also somehow made that image boring and overused. Almost seems uncreative and lazy 2. While I love the alternative colour palette, which I do think the would've made the mv pop more, I feel like they wanted to give the mv a dull and darker colour palette like their other mvs, with pops of colour here and there, to signify that it wasn't actually as easy as it seems and their path to success was 'dark'. They also seem to want to embody blue as their colour, hence the reccurance ig. 3. I love love LOVE the idea of having softer vocals or parts in the song, especially if they were given a bridge, they could've slowly woven vulnerable instrumentals and vocals into it, then carried into the last chorus with those and softer vocals and adlibs. Then the song would also have been a lot fuller and would've had more to chew on.\ also BRO these vids must make for one HELL of a design portfolio

Oh i really like this inference. I think the reason for the icy blue in the music video is because they are trying to make it their signature colour. Not sure tho. And the point you said about their main track being about them being bold is only hitting me now lol. We had seen their hardships in their documentary, "The World is my Oyster", but i guess they did not want to reference it again as they already have a song of the same name in their previous albums. Overall i liked the chill vibe but they could have done more. Love the video tho

Omgggg I’ve been saying the sameeee thingggggggg more striking colours cos I was really tryna pinpoint what what is was but the reusing of the outfits from anti fragile aswell didn’t make the music video pop like they really could’ve emphasised the concept of “making it look easy” And the fallen angel concept with a scene where one of them is falling just like in the teaser movie where eunchae is falling but with wings and and fire and when she lands she looks up and continues singing the lyrics ,idk almost just having a juxtaposition of them put in extreme situations but them looking effortless while doing it ,also exaggerating the outfits and wearing clothes that would only look good on “them”, to again put emphasis on the “making it looks easy”

Instantly, from the first comment, just screamed THANK YOU out loud. The first time I saw the MV, even though i don't mind the song, I thought it was visually boring. Apparently it was directed by some well known American director? Idk, but aside from the editing, the colors and sets were so blah to me in comparison to any of their other MVs--even Fearless, which I used to consider their weakest MV

Bang PD has been advocating for removing the "K" from K-pop in order for the genre to survive and expand, suggesting integration with international music trends. This was reflected in the "Easy" album, which incorporates Trap, Hip Hop, R&B, Latin, Afro, etc. Did it achieve perfection? No, nothing is perfect. However, I believe this is the direction they are pursuing. They shouldn't restrict themselves to the same concept repeatedly but remain flexible. 4. It's interesting how people are divided on LSF's previous concepts and music-some adored it, while others felt it didn't suit them. When LSF appeared on Lee HyoRi’s TV show, Lee told them that they cannot stick with an "in-your-face" concept forever, which is absolutely true. I appreciate that they are experimenting with something new. Of course, it could be hit or miss, but that applies to every K-pop group and all artists in general. Not every comeback is flawless; no artist has ever achieved that. Some people in this comment thread said that LSF will never satisfy them again because they did not like Easy. Keep you in mind that LSF's career as a group is s has less than 2 years. They will have at least 5 more years of activities (The standard kpop member's 1st contract period is 7years). Many things more to come. Overall, I enjoyed "Easy" and am excited about their new concept and direction moving forward.
You make some good points, I also believe some people are being way too harsh with le sserafim experimenting is a good thing even if it falls flat at times, you get back up and try something like that’s why kpop is so much fun the possibilities are endless
Le sserafim’s first release had nothing but hits from front to back. Antifragile had fewer hits but overall was a great album. Unforgiven only had 1 good song which was EPATBW. Easy is their weakest release to date and I don’t like that. They’re supposed to be getting better not worse.
if it were up to me, i'd make this song SLOWER. god, this song is SOOO fast it's ridiculous. if it were 30-40 bpm slower, it wouldn't feel so fleeting and i think it would get less criticism.
TBH since the day "Good Bones" came out, i always thought it was kinda tone deaf. I'm not going to extend because it'll make me rant too much, and also it's kind of evident through the lyrics anyway. "The world is fair - it's ugly to everyone"...I mean come on. idk their backstory, but i don't think EVERY single idol has been through as much shit, or more shit than usual people do.

I feel like I liked all the blue. They could have done what you said but in blue (their are different shades of blues) and a complementary color to Blue. They most likely stayed with a blue theme because it’s the group color i.e BP had a lot of Black and Pink and Shinee had their color shown a lot too.

Is it only me who thinks that alot of the late comebacks were not received well, or didnt get much views? There were some exceptions like (G)-idle, TXT or StrayKids but compared to the previous years 2023/2024 is pretty bad for kpop. For example: Itzy, Everglow, Babymonster, Lesserafim, Aespa (Drama was not good compared to previous songs), VCHA, Red Velvet (Chill Kill was good but why so few vies???), Dreamcatcher ( their new concept was ok but not more), Young Posse, Weeekly, Kep1er, StayC ( Bubble was okay but compared to all their other bops like ASAP, So Bad and Run2u not), Twice (They never got so few views on a comeback). Kpop is still doing okay but i think many comebacks did not live up to expectations or were even disappointing.

I think that Easy and the concept it carries was a perfect new start after their first trilogy in paper: it uses similar genres to Antifragile (and other bsides they have) but the overall vibe follows one similar to Fearless. overall i found easy to be a push from somu for quarterly reports.. i feel like if they waited a bit longer we couldve gotten something more full fleshed, well rehearsed, and visually creative. i felt like conceptually there was something missing? it felt like it was trying to be general with itself but idk it just missed the mark so bad. the weak music video with glamor shots which all feel pretty similar to eachother. like u used bp as an example, when each member appears on screen its a different set, vibe, verse, idea. in easy, everything blends and i get theyre trying to push an easy idea but it just falls flat. the album cover in particular pains me like no other, because like ssera covers in particular have SO much potential to be more than minimalism. fearless i could get because it was their opening so i let them off the hook because the style then for them was this model concept. but fas forward to anti fragile, with garam leavfing their conceptual style also evolves and changes and the cover is kintsugi which was actually very beautiful. it couldve been more but i appreciated for what it was. but oh my god. unforgiven being boring as the shit stains of its cover. they couldve had something more like the fairy photos they had in concept photos, like that wouldve been BEAUTIFUL. i have no words for easy. what i would do is revamp it into something more like smart or something graphically appealing if not to include members on it.

Literally thought the mv director was a newbie but she's filmed for many artists notably Ariana Grande. The sequencing in the mv showed how she was inexperienced in making kpop mvs which isn't a bad thing but the mv could've really elevated the song and girls move had it been planned out better
I have like this video has made me notice that i am missing the times when ad-libs were used a lot more to fill a song up and not to leave it very empty/ letting the instrumental carry the song rather than the vocals

While I love the alternative colour palette, which I do think the would've made the mv pop more, I feel like they wanted to give the mv a dull and darker colour palette like their other mvs, with pops of colour here and there, to signify that it wasn't actually as easy as it seems and their path to success was 'dark'. They also seem to want to embody blue as their colour, hence the reccurance ig.

I love love LOVE the idea of having softer vocals or parts in the song, especially if they were given a bridge, they could've slowly woven vulnerable instrumentals and vocals into it, then carried into the last chorus with those and softer vocals and adlibs. Then the song would also have been a lot fuller and would've had more to chew on.\

Oh i really like this inference. I think the reason for the icy blue in the music video is because they are trying to make it their signature colour. Not sure tho. And the point you said about their main track being about them being bold is only hitting me now lol. We had seen their hardships in their documentary, "The World is my Oyster", but i guess they did not want to reference it again as they already have a song of the same name in their previous albums. Overall i liked the chill vibe but they could have done more. Love the video tho

Instantly, from the first comment, just screamed THANK YOU out loud. The first time I saw the MV, even though i don't mind the song, I thought it was visually boring. Apparently it was directed by some well known American director? Idk, but aside from the editing, the colors and sets were so blah to me in comparison to any of their other MVs--even Fearless, which I used to consider their weakest MV

What "Easy" left unexplained, "Swan Song" clarified. That's why we have an album-EPs are meant to convey the entire story, rather than attempting to do so within a single song. For me, "Easy" -> "Swan Song" -> "Smart" presents the most complete and cohesive storyline among their four albums so far.
3. Bang PD has been advocating for removing the "K" from K-pop in order for the genre to survive and expand, suggesting integration with international music trends. This was reflected in the "Easy" album, which incorporates Trap, Hip Hop, R&B, Latin, Afro, etc. Did it achieve perfection? No, nothing is perfect. However, I believe this is the direction they are pursuing. They shouldn't restrict themselves to the same concept repeatedly but remain flexible.
4. It's interesting how people are divided on LSF's previous concepts and music-some adored it, while others felt it didn't suit them. When LSF appeared on Lee HyoRi’s TV show, Lee told them that they cannot stick with an "in-your-face" concept forever, which is absolutely true. I appreciate that they are experimenting with something new. Of course, it could be hit or miss, but that applies to every K-pop group and all artists in general. Not every comeback is flawless; no artist has ever achieved that.
Some people in this comment thread said that LSF will never satisfy them again because they did not like Easy. Keep you in mind that LSF's career as a group is s has less than 2 years. They will have at least 5 more years of activities (The standard kpop member's 1st contract period is 7years). Many things more to come.
Overall, I enjoyed "Easy" and am excited about their new concept and direction moving forward.

Le sserafim’s first release had nothing but hits from front to back. Antifragile had fewer hits but overall was a great album. Unforgiven only had 1 good song which was EPATBW. Easy is their weakest release to date and I don’t like that. They’re supposed to be getting better not worse.

I feel like I liked all the blue. They could have done what you said but in blue (their are different shades of blues) and a complementary color to Blue. For example: Itzy, Everglow, Babymonster, Lesserafim, Aespa (Drama was not good compared to previous songs), VCHA, Red Velvet (Chill Kill was good but why so few vies???), Dreamcatcher ( their new concept was ok but not more), Young Posse, Weeekly, Kep1er, StayC ( Bubble was okay but compared to all their other bops like ASAP, So Bad and Run2u not), Twice (They never got so few views on a comeback).
Kpop is still doing okay but i think many comebacks did not live up to expectations or were even disappointing.

overall i found easy to be a push from somu for quarterly reports.. i feel like if they waited a bit longer we couldve gotten something more full fleshed, well rehearsed, and visually creative. i felt like conceptually there was something missing? it felt like it was trying to be general with itself but idk it just missed the mark so bad. the weak music video with glamor shots which all feel pretty similar to eachother. like u used bp as an example, when each member appears on screen its a different set, vibe, verse, idea. in easy, everything blends and i get theyre trying to push an easy idea but it just falls flat. the album cover in particular pains me like no other, because like ssera covers in particular have SO much potential to be more than minimalism. fearless i could get because it was their opening so i let them off the hook because the style then for them was this model concept. but fas forward to anti fragile, with garam leavfing their conceptual style also evolves and changes and the cover is kintsugi which was actually very beautiful. it couldve been more but i appreciated for what it was. but oh my god. unforgiven being boring as the shit stains of its cover. they couldve had something more like the fairy photos they had in concept photos, like that wouldve been BEAUTIFUL. i have no words for easy. what i would do is revamp it into something more like smart or something graphically appealing if not to include members on it.

Literally thought the mv director was a newbie but she's filmed for many artists notably Ariana Grande. The sequencing in the mv showed how she was inexperienced in making kpop mvs which isn't a bad thing but the mv could've really elevated the song and girls move had it been planned out better

I think the album was great but none of the tracks felt like a title track, and they were so short, like this trend has to stop. I would have like to have a brigde in Easy, and ALSO WITHOUT THAT ANNOYING AUTOTUNE, they sound like robots at times.

God you hate it ! I don't get much of the dislike for easy. When compared to their other tracks is easily one of their best titles, if not the best since the competition is very little in this case. The album is cute, they obviously never topping their debut ep and overall I prefer they giving this more heavy dance focused group then that dull "model" concept they tried to had for a while and whatever other stuff they tried to pull with antifragile and unforgiven
