    Did you ever consider stuffing poly-fill behind the 3" dash speaker to slow down the air behind the speaker and possibly prevent/mitigate back wave interference? Sure, poly-fill is usually used in sub enclosures to slow the air and help the sub act as a larger driver. Same principle here in the dash, just a slightly different application.

    Great video, I've been thinking about an upgrade like this. Any way you could quantify the improvement? Percentage maybe?

      100 times better! Louder, can feel the bass even at low volume, the quality of sound you can notice instantly, and lastly if you're like me and teack the car it pulls some weight out of the car. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

    what eq settings...during my install I never disconnected the battery. Does that matter. Also didn't know what port to plug connector into either. And do you have the 8 or 6 speaker systtem from factory? Reason for all questions is that I just feel like they should sound better than they do. Maybe imma doing something wrong lol? thanks in advance good vid!

      Thanks for the love!
      I have the 8 system (premium) i just messed with the EQ till I liked it. Super crisp in my car and you can not only feel but also hear the different base tones. I noticed it does not matter what connector you use (so just use what's better for routing the wires) Disconnecting the battery doesn't really matter so long as power isn't on. It's rare you'll get an electrical spike but if you do it could damage the electronics (better to be safe than sorry lol) I do it out of habbit after working for Ford and Chevy 😆

    This might be a stupid question but dont you need to disconnect the negative terminal (first) as well? You mentioned that only the positive terminal disconnection should be okay but can you explain why? Thanks.

    • @DankersRacing
      @DankersRacing Рік тому +2

      There's no stupid questions, I'm always happy to help. You really only need the positive disconnected so that there is no power in the system. If you do just the negative there is a possibility of it touching metal and arching or allowing the circuit to close. You can do both but you really only need one. Plus the car will be off so there's not really a chance of the speakers getting a signal and blowing out but to be as safe as possible and make sure equipment doesn't get damaged it's always best to disconnect the battery. I apologize for the late reply, I've been moving.

      @@DankersRacing IMO it is safer to disconnect the ground connection. While the wrench is attached to the positive side of the battery, you run the risk of touching metal with the wrench. Bad things could happen if that were to happen. You should always disconnect the negative side of the battery first.
