I am from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰
This is one of the real romantic drama ❤❤❤
I've watched this movie over and over again. She really own the corner of disappointment.
dawg, who is getting a full ride to oxford?
😂😂
Rhodes scholars. Or was it sarcasm?😂😂
The title is weird…let’s start there…
It's a play on C.S. Lewis's book "Surprised by Joy."
As someone who lived there for four years doing a degree, it will never not be weird (in a good way!) seeing my literal favourite street corners and hangout spots be there in a movie. My most romantic memories happened in the exact same places as this trailer...it's a very romantic city.
Some of these shots were outside my front door from second year lol. I can see my bedroom window.
That is so freaking cool
Seems like something I’d watch ❤
I really want to see this movie 🍿🎥
J'ai vraiment adoré ce film 😊😊😊
Where can I watch? I can't even find this film with subtitles, I'm Brazilian.
❤ Oh Brazilian!!
I'm confused by her accent.. Is she British or American?
The actress Rose Reid is American. Her character is a North American student who gains a scholarship to Oxford University. The film is based on the memoir of the same name by Canadian author Carolyn Weber.
@@mpb3481and falls in love with the American Man also at Oxford University.. 🙄
@@1jackrooyes 😂

@mosquinn I watched it!
Either my picture of Oxford is wrong or they are all about 5 years too old.
It does say she's working on her doctorate so she'd be a bit older mid twenties to late twenties depending on when she applied.
They're exactly the right age if they're DPhil-level post-grad students. I did my undergrad at Oxford and by fourth year I had quite a few postgrad friends who were in their late twenties/early thirties at my college.
lol what you go to university at any age plus she's getting her phd 🙄
Sometimes these movies can be so annoying!! They make it seem so overly dramatic to fall in love or have a boyfriend in college. It is not that deep and at 20 years old how many obstacles due you really have to overcome to hang on to a cute college boyfriend!? I graduated Summa cum laude and I met my husband in my second year in college. College students are not that immature and can still make time for personal life even while studying. It is called "having your priorities straight"!!
Whatever. It's the true story of American writer Carolyn Weber and how she met her future Husband, also they are still together and has children.
Is that Weasel from Handsome Devil 😮😮😮
This seems like a tired trope-filled movie.
“You wear this brave face, but inside you’re just as scared as everybody else.”
“You pour over the words of dead people, but you don’t let yourself feel those same things.”
To the old person with the wise words - 1:26
Nice writing, A-holes.
Calling strangers A-holes on a comment board- a tired social media cliche'.
This movie was adapted from the memoirs of award-winning Canadian author Carolyn Weber. Does that make her an A-hole too?
basically just showed the whole movie. no point watching it
Looks so boring
Terrible title! film looks ok…
It's a play on Lewis' "Surprised by Joy."
mehh
Shulman?
It was boring
Decently sure Oxford doesn't even offer a PhD?
Its called the DPhil, in English, rather than in Latin (PhD). Exactly the same.
Looks as cliched as the 10,000 similar rom-com movies that preceded it....
The trailer may appear as that but it's actually really good! I watched it! Better than most romcoms that Hollywood has put out
i fuck with cliche then
Hahaha cliche is the way of RomComs
It's what happened in the life of the writer Carolyn Weber
🤮
Where can I watch this movie?
