Possibly the best metal album ever.
I feel bad because Drover seems like a really cool dude in interviews and he is an adequate drummer. Unfortunately, he is also a robotic drummer and everything he plays has no "energy" to it. Menza bashed the fuck outta the drums and got way into it. It felt more aggressive and thrashier. Drover makes everything sound banal.
Yeah me too, I have nothing against him, he seems to be very cool but he's sloppy although I liked his performance in the Sofia live

Holy shit, Drover really fucks up the drums here. Watched him play Holy Wars and it was even worse.
Kicking Nick Menza out of the band was one of the poorest decisions Dave made, because Drover cannot drum this fucking album to save his life.
The audio on this is really bad, so you could probably hear it more so if you were there.
Dave never kicked Menza, he left; and when he rejoined he couldn't play shit. But I do think that Drover is inferior to Menza on his prime.

That's from their Wikipedia page. Now I'm not saying I believe everything on Wikipedia, but considering that Menza and Mustaine still aren't on good terms, I've got to assume there's some bad blood between the two of them. I still think Menza was kicked out after his surgery.
Plus, lets not forget that Mustaine is notorious for his revolving door of kicking musicians out of Megadeth.

He took Menza back after he recovered from the arm injury in 2004, but Nick wasn't ready for touring and was pretty much a douche again. Read that from Dave's book. Love Menza, but Drover can hold his own. Think about the back catalogue he has to play night in and night out? Samuelson's stuff, Menza's stuff. Not the easiest job in the world right? :)

thefinalguitar2 The singing in Metallica is heavily connected and synced to the guitar playing, so it's very easy to sing and play. But in Megadeth songs, the singing and guitar playing is completely separate. This objectively concludes that Dave is much better at singing and playing at the same time. Now shut up about Metallica, this is Megadeth.

I've talked to people who were there and said he sounded SIMILAR to this, but not identical... but overall very good for what it was. I think at most they cleaned up the vocal track, maybe auto-tuned a few parts, and it's possible that he rerecorded some quiet parts or something.
It isn't all that hard to believe, considering he clearly doesn't care about vocals. He probably cared here because it was going to be a live DVD performance, just like on That One Night which sounded good.
Video on YT is a bit messed up, dvd/Blu-ray is much better quality.
That said, this album is one of the most perfect works of art to exist.
great album from a great band. The album they just did in 2016 was also very good.

Nobody gives Dave credit for his type of singing in the lyrics.the way he sings this requires him to use different throat,chest and diaphragm muscles.its pretty frigging hard.add onto that he is playing complex guitar patterns.GREAT FUCKING JOB DAVE!!!!!!!¡

The vocals weren't dubbed, listen to fan filmed videos of this concert, and while you guys were to busy assuming they were dubbed, you missed that he messes up the lyrics (He says 'Where the earth is cold as ice' twice instead of 'day is black as night' on the second time)

@55rattlehead I agree that his Big 4 vocals were dubbed. But that's the big 4, not this live concert. People just assume things without doing research (IE: Looking at fan-filmed videos where you can see this isn't dubbed) They aren't on this live album, although they clearly are on The Big 4

This time period is the first time they ever play this song live ( this and Five Magics)... Yet they wait til 5 Lineup Changes and Dave's Voice to wear Out to finally Play these song. I Always wanted to hear them perform this at their Prime... Looks like A lot of people didn't get that chance :\ .

Best album of all time, no flaws, but who made this dvd? Probably sounds perfect on a hd tv though
the dvd is not overdubbed dudes!compare with other videos and you will see,the vocals are just too up in the mix but if you buy the dvd you can change this;instead of dolby surround 5.0 change to dolby surround 2.0 :D thumbs up every must know this:)

@adamdevo "Take No Prisoners" and "Poison Was The Cure" are faster, but that's all. "Rust In Peace... Polaris" is much harder to play and sing at the same time.

It has a lot of singing and its tough to sing for Dave.
Other than that they haven't confirmed any other reason for not playing it.

@yoyoyoimonhbo no brother it is not "re-recorded" the vocals, listen to the videos of the show recorded by digital cameras it sounds like the same way, i comprobed that, the problem with the dvd is than de sond is a little bit advanced than the video, well i tink that, but check it out the oter videos
Personally I find Dave's vocals passable in this performance, but the guitars sound like shit.

He didn't mess up the intro, the levels were just off, and it sounds like the EQ/sample on the bass drum is too clicky. He is playing it right from what I see.
