you noticed how the Radio Demon's voice occationally turns "normal". What you might have missed is that the more normal his voice is, the more EVIL he's being.
I’m pretty sure in an interview Vivzie said that his voice only is like that because she likes messing with the radio noises. Which contradicts this, where was it said that his voice changes when he us being evil
I was under the impression that the radio sound in his voice took conscious effort from him, so if he switches to using his magic, his voice goes more normal.
I've seen some others speculate that the reason for it going in & out has to do with whether he's being honest (with what he's saying at the time) or not. It'd be awesome if we eventually find out for sure, as there must be some reason.
Some little facts for you about HH 1: Vivziepop LOVES reaction videos. So you don't need to edit them in any kind of way. So you don't need any filter or cut them. 2: I recommend highly the song "Addict" by Silva Hound. It features the VA of Angel Dust and singer Chi-Chi and the Song/MV gives a bit of backstory on Angel Dust and how he ended up in hell and the hotel. 3: Charlie (or Charlotte) is the daughter of the fallen Angel Lucifer, who rebelled against God himself and got kicked out of heaven, and Lillith, Adam's first wife who didn't want to be obedient to Adam so God threw her in Hell and so she became the Mother of Demons. Quite a Pedigree if you ask me. And Charlie is the third most powerful being in Hell, thanks to that pedigree. So she could EASILY snap Katie Killjoy and Alastor out of existence. 4: - Charlie is bisexual - Vaggie is lesbian Both are a couple - Angel is a gay crossdresser, his Chest is just super fluff (that's why Niffty thought he was a women) - Husk (only Alastor calls him Husker to go on his nerves) is pansexual - Alastor (the absolut friggin best Character) is asexual 5: Like Hannibal Lecter (The Silence of Lambs) who NEVER blinks, Alastor NEVER stops smiling. He sees it as weakness when you frown. Also he was a serial killer, cannibal and radio host (that's why he has this awesome voice) in the 1920's who got mistaken for a deer by a hunter when he tried to hide a body and was shot in 1933 (that's why he has Antlers and Hoof prints on the bottom of his Feet/Shoes). It is a rumor that he got so powerful because he ate the other Overlords (hence the cannibal background) and thats how he also got all of their powers. But then again, he has a high moral compass. 6: Sir Pentious died in the 19th century (1880 of I remember correctely which is also the reason he thinks Angel dust is true when he calls him "Daddy", he doesn't understand such jokes), Alastor in 1933, Angel Dust in 1947 (that's why he has such joy with the electrical window in car, they weren't invented when he died) Niffty in the 50's, Husker in the 70's and Vaggie in somewhat 2010-ish. Tom Trench died in WW1, hence the name and the gasmask. 7: The show got picked up by Studio A24 and it is rumored that the first season comes out next year on a streaming service. 8: I highly recommend the Spin-Off "Helluva Boss". It has already 1 season out with 7 episodes and season 2 has 1 episode (with the second one coming in late octovber, probably around Halloween). It takes place in a different part of Hell and features different characters but they are awesome. - Niffty is a germaphobe! - Alastor can buy Husker with Cheap Booze because it is actually the most expensive alcohol in hell! At 27:18 you can see, on the right side of the Hotel, the god damn Titanic!!! So that ship did sunk REALLY deep! I think I got everything... Enjoy the rabbit hole!

"Alastor" is actually a Greek name that translates to "avenger", and given his actions in "A Day in the After Life", I feel that may be relevant to his character. Possibly of note.
just a fun fact to add, the reason angel is so into the automatic windows in the limo is because he died before they were invented in 1940 (: also why his weapon of choice is a tommy gun, he was alive in the 20-30 ish years so they were popular back then
I think this pilot (and Helluva Boss also) is deliberately VERY R rated because it's on youtube. If I remember correctly, Hazbin Hotel was posted around the time COPPA started regulating youtube and they kinda flagged everything animated as "for kids," so Viv made it so vulgar that youtube would not dare mistake this as "for kids."
Hazbin Hotel has been picked up by a network and should hopefully be coming to a streaming service soon we don’t know when it’s coming though and not many updates just that it is indeed happening. Also you definitely need to watch the Helluva Boss pilot before episode one
Yeah all the people working on hazbin are under a pretty strict NDA apparently so yeah no news of hazbin development will be coming out unless A24 allows it
I've been a fan of Hazbin Hotel since the orginial clips were released long before the pilot episode. I really do hope we get a full season after all these years.
Part of the problem is that a SIGNIFICANT portion of the fandom for this and Helluva Boss are young teens. Like 14 - 16. They aren't really equipped to deal with the adult topics (not just sex) and situations dealt with by the two shows. They miss a LOT and they latch on to characters and define themselves in terms of that character. So when things don't go as they think, it's like a personal attack on them. Some have put Viv through hell over things they don't like.
Excellent reaction, as always -- and I look forward to seeing your Helluva Boss reactions once they come out! One lore tidbit that I feel is important (and highlights a difference between the story-telling of Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss) is that there are effectively two broad categories of demons residing in hell. First you've got _"sinners"_ who were born as humans, lived, were very naughty, died, and wound up in hell as a result of their life choices. Hazbin Hotel features a great many sinners as the prominent characters (Alastor, Vaggie, Angel Dust, Sir Pentious, Cherri Bomb, Husk, and Nifty are all sinners, along with quite a few others!) The form a sinner takes can be reminiscent of various demonic animals (Angel Dust as a "spider-boi" or Sir Pentious as a "snake-demon" for example), more or less humanoid (like Vaggie or Cherri Bomb), or any number of wild shapes in between. The other broad type of demon are the _"hellborn"_ -- creatures native to hell who were never living souls on Earth. In Hazbin Hotel only Charlie (daughter of Lucifer and Lilith) is a prominent hellborn character that we've seen much of so far. In contrast, _all_ of the main cast of Helluva Boss are hellborn demons. Hellborn demons have their own social standings and classes, with Imps usually being the lowest of the lowly, Hellhounds and Succubi being a bit better off, and then up the social ranks all the way to the powerful demon princes -- including the family of demonic royalty known as the Goetia (from the mytho-historical? Ars Goetia.) Anyway -- I hope you continue to enjoy these very fun, and very irreverent, series!
I can never wrap my head around how Husk is voiced by the same guy who voices the Badge Seller from A Hat in Time... such different personalities with such different voices, it's impressive

Same world, different characters. Bliz"o" makes an appearance during Charlie's radio song, and Charlie makes an appearance in Helluva Boss on Loona's computer screen when she gives Moxie the chub be gone ad. Both appearances are really quick so you gotta look close.
Welcome to the Hazbin/Helluva fandom; you will enjoy it here. Hazbin was picked up for a full series by A24, the same studio that produced Everything Everywhere All At Once. Helluva Boss is fully in-house by SpindleHorse, Vivienne's company, and is being released straight to Vivienne's UA-cam channel, Vivziepop; they're currently on the second season, having just recently released episode 2x01.
Here is a little info about Hell so you don’t get confused later on Lucifer is the Devil and he and Satan are separate characters. Hell has an overpopulation problem so Angels come every year to kill as many demons as they can to solve it. Hell is basically made of seven planets stacked directly on top of each other, the planets are called rings and each ring is named after one of the Seven Deadly Sins (Pride, Wrath, Gluttony, Greed, Lust, Envy and Sloth, in that order). The rings are also mistaken for the “Nine Circles” that Katie Killjoy mentions. Actually the Nine Circles refers to nine main locations of the Pride Ring alone (the first circle is Pentagram City aka the city in this episode and the second circle is Imp City which he see in Helluva Boss, the other circles haven’t been seen as of yet) Hell also operates on a hierarchy defined by power in this order: Lucifer Morningstar (the king of the Pride Ring but also all of Hell, it’s also been said by Vivziepop that Lucifer is the second most powerful being in the universe, second only to God himself) Lilith Morningstar (Lucifer’s wife and the queen of Hell) Charlie Morningstar (the princess of Hell and Lucifer’s heir) The Seven Deadly Sins (a group of seven godlike demons, including Lucifer, Satan, Beelzebub, Mammon, Asmodeus, Leviathan and Belphegor, who are most likely Fallen Angels and rule over one of Hell’s Seven rings and basically embody their respective sin) The Goetia Family (a clan of at least 72 extraordinarily powerful demons who serve as Hell’s nobility and are most likely Fallen Angels) Overlords (Non-Fallen Angel demons who have immense power and rule over there own sections of Hell, Alastor is here but he’s only an Overlord by technicality due to his immense powers and both Cherri Bomb and Sir Pentious want to become Overlords) Sinner Demons (humans who were reborn in Hell following their deaths, Angel Dust, Vaggie, Husk, Niffty, Sir Pentious, Katie Killjoy and Tom Trench are here) And lastly Hellborn Demons such as Succubi, Imps and Hellhounds (demons who were naturally born in Hell, they rank below Sinners cause they can be killed easier, and Imps and Hellhounds are considered the lowest in Hell’s society with Imps being seen as slaves and Hellhounds being seen as pets)

Yes! I'd recommend checking out the Addict music video before watching Helluva Boss, so you can get all the watchable Hazbin content out of the way first. It provides more context and a bit of background to Angel as a character. Hazbin is seemingly wrapping up production for s1, but we currently don't have a release date announcement as of yet. As for Helluva Boss, it's 11/10! There's almost no misses with this series and the past few episodes have had such amazing animation and emotionally driven moments. Can't wait for you to watch it!

if you want to see the new designs of the main characters as they'll look in the show theyre posted to the official instagram and twitter accs! these designs are old, unfortunately, but still bangin'.
I’m not big on inappropriate shows however I can’t wait to see more of this show, I love the concept of a hotel for redeeming demons and sinners it just sounds so cool and I can’t wait to see how it goes
This Pilot has an official Song! it explains Angel Dusts behavior quite a bit. and the friendship of him and the girl with the bombs (Cherrybomb) He is bound in an extremely bad deal in the porn industries. and he is not able to leave or quit. he has to do disgusting things, you have to watch the video of the song VERY closely and NOT stop at the credits. they are not the end. psycological, you can say, that his whole behavior is a protection for his mind. to not go crazy at this. its called "addict"
27:05 every time I see Alastor's face, I can't help bursting out laughing. It's so funny too me for some reason. And the others just starring at him with horrified faces and looking at him makes it even better.

Another Fun Fact! Alastor died during (or right after) the great depression which is why he refrences the stalk market crash or 1929. The follow g is not a spoiler, just a fact vivzi said. Alastor was shot in the head by a hunter who mistook him for.a deer, that's why hemlocks deepika. He was also a serial killer and possible cannibal (in a comic by vivzie he is shown eating demon meat). He is also aro/ace, whichbis why he is so appalled by Angels... remark. I'm just spewing comments at this point.
I was always blown away by the audacity of that newswoman. Imagine you have literally the most royal of royalty, above all other nobility, in front of you and you threaten them. Like she even physically fights her. Even if she saw Charlie as a pushover, her parents probably wouldn't take lightly to some lowly pathetic demon trying to bury their daughter deep into the next ring of hell.... :T Even with demons being, well, demons, who in their right mind would wanna tussle with the next in line to the throne of all of hell?! Charlie may also be kind in general but she could easily erase that newswoman out of existence and has demons around her that would 100% do that for her if Charlie didn't want to do it.
Here are some things to clear up, Hazbin Hotel and its spin-off Helluva Boss take place in the same universe, it's just that a crossover is very unlikely since they were created by different studios, however there are cameos of each other, such as how there's a Blitzo and Loona lookalike in the Hazbin Hotel pilot, or Loona watching Charlie's song from the Hazbin Hotel pilot in the Helluva Boss pilot. Another reason why Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss will never meet, since Hazbin Hotel takes place in the ring of pride, while Helluva Boss takes place in multiple rings of Hell, like Wrath where Satan is found, Lust where Asmodeus is found, and so on. There's also a social status on beings of Hell. From lowest to highest, there's imps and hellhounds which includes Millie, Moxie, and Loona. Next on the list are hellborn demons like the succubus, hellborns and below emit black blood when hurt. Next are sinners, which are former humans that died and woke up in Hell, instead of looking like stereotypical demons, they take different shapes based on who they were in life, and how they died. Like Alastor is a tall, lanky demon with radio-like features, and has an X on his forehead, and antlers when he's angry. The reason why he looks like this was because when he was alive on Earth, he was a host on radio broadcasts and he was a serial killer. His cause of death is getting shot in the head by a hunter who mistook him for a deer, while Alastor was hiding a body of one of his victims. Next are sinner overlords, Alastor counts as one. Overlords are sinners except they have more power and authority, they're even known for owning the souls of other sinners, like how Alastor owns Husker and Nifty, which is why he brought them to the hotel. Sinners and overlords can't truly die, they'll just revive themselves eventually, they can only truly die with angelic weaponry. Next are the ARS Goetia like Stolas, they're fallen angels who possess great powers, they are only vulnerable to angelic weaponry as well, since angelic weapons can harm angels. Next on the list, are the 7 deadly sins such as Mammon, the sin of greed, or Asmodeus, the sin of lust. Next are Charlie and her mother Lilith, Lilith's music is what inspires Hell's civilization to expand, which became a reason exterminators came down to destroy sinners. Charlie is powerful, it's just that due to her kind and optimistic behavior, no one takes her seriously. Last on the list, is Lucifer Morningstar(Last name: Magne, in the pilot), although he is sin of pride, he's the leader of the 7 deadly sins, and king of Hell himself, he's the father of Charlie Morningstar and husband to Lilith. Also, the same portrait that Alastor was looking at which shows Charlie with 2 other people, those are her parents.

We've gotten a bunch of updated character redesigns for the show. According to Viv some big news about it is supposed to be coming soon, so we're hoping for a release date or teaser or something. Super excited.
Your understanding is correct. Helluva Boss has it's own pilot episode that you should react to. Helluva Boss Episode 1 is separate from and comes after the Helluva Boss Pilot just to be clear. One other note:the content warnings at the start of each Helluva Boss episode are worth pausing to read and change slightly with each episode.
26:45 We’re not really getting a glimpse, higher demons have true demon forms/transformations. He didn’t use it. And they grow stronger over time, and even stronger by making voodoo deals. So no one really knows the full potential of alastor, or even a fraction of it. I’m so excited for January
I'm not sure how much of the teams are shared if any on the two shows but they are both getting published differently with Helluva Boss being released on their youtube channel and gets uploaded episode by episode as they produce them while Hazbin Hotel has an actual production company involved and it probably going to release in a season on one or more streaming services. Your reaction to this was great and I'd have no problems with some pauses to discuss things/look at background details. Looking forward to Helluva Boss.
If I had to guess myself, they probably do both shows at the same time. Only difference is Hazbin Hotel is being distributed and guided by A24 and Helluva Boss is 100% provided by Spindle Horse. PS I really hope that Viv can also release Hazbin Hotel on her UA-cam channel at the same time as it's being premiered.
So this show got picked up by A24, but a couple tiny blink and you miss it characters from the studio audience were enticing enough that they inspired a spin-off in the interim and that's Helluva Boss
Watch the pilot episode of helluva boss again, you will see a poster of kitty killjoy behind the guy that said he "lovingly killed his wife", and you will see charlie singing on Luna's computer when moxxie asked her why someone would have send him an add weight loss....
It’s short but I really recommend watching the addicted music video it’s really good insitfull and adds a lot of character development and clarity until the real show starts
Alastor used to be a murderer while he was alive and hid it as a radio broadcaster and he also was confused as a deer in the dark when he was hiding. A body so he then died so now he has radios and a deer like appearance
These two shows are absolutely incredibly well made. Most adult animation is, shit. But this is top tier high quality stuff. The art direction is insane. The VAs do so good. The stories in both are extremely different and unique. They go hard with the R rating and don't mess around. But they have extremely relateable characters. Just love them.
I know you're nervous about watching Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure, but you never know if you like it or not if you don't watch it. There is also a short movie Tangled: Before Ever After. It takes place a week before the show starts.
They are still making hazbin hotel its just being created by an bigger company so they have to finish the first season before they start releasing episodes
Some people have had issued lately, but the general consensus is that both Hazbin Hotel and Helluvaboss reactions can be uploaded in full length, maybe you can try that with Helluva Boss once you upload it
Don't know if someone states it already, but Angel Dust has redeeming qualities, and not just because he said so xD (more so if you watch the Addicted music video). For one, he pushed Cherry Bomb out of the way and got held himself by Pentious. Later, he tries to say sorry to Charlie but doesn't seem to find the words. Perhaps he has a good heart deep down, but this is Hell, he has a rep and his bubbly, sarcastic, cynical, and extravagant attitude of a diva don't play well with showing kindness. At least at first. We will see, but many have high hopes for him to be one of Charlie's succeses.
I feel like Charlie's look over all is like being both the ring leader and the clown. Also her hair animation during the happy hotel song is probably my favorite part. I just love hair animations and its done so well.
Lore wise Charlie is the third most powerful being behind her father Lucifer (not Satan, as he’s a separate character) in first and her mother Lilith in second. Alistor is an overlord (most of whom are mortal sinners like Alistor vaggie and angel) and is at least powerful enough to be a serious problem if he ever decided to betray Charlie.
He gets stronger by making deals, if she shook his hand he’d become her level. We also don’t know how strong satan the second strongest sin is. (Next to lucifer.)

@@MikeyVenture okee cool! Uhh for recommendations in terms of more independent animation projects I'd recommend watching Metal Family. It's a pretty short series, in fact if one were to watch the whole thing it takes about 2.5 hours. It has an official English dub without copyrighted music as well. Another recommendation I'd like to give is actually a musical. It's called "The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals" by Team Starkid. It's free on UA-cam (recorded by the company that produced and performed it, meaning that it's official and not a bootleg). Starkid is known for their parody musicals such as A Very Potter Musical and Twisted, but recently have been creating more original musicals, such as the one I recommended. It's very fun to watch people's reactions to it, because it's definitely not what you'd expect it to be. Anyways yeah that's all I've got for recs.
If you want finish all the Hazbin Hotel content before going into Heluva Boss, the next thing would be "Addict". The, as far as we know, canon music video.

6: Sir Pentious died in the 19th century (1880 of I remember correctely which is also the reason he thinks Angel dust is true when he calls him "Daddy", he doesn't understand such jokes), Alastor in 1933, Angel Dust in 1947 (that's why he has such joy with the electrical window in car, they weren't invented when he died) Niffty in the 50's, Husker in the 70's and Vaggie in somewhat 2010-ish. Tom Trench died in WW1, hence the name and the gasmask.
7: The show got picked up by Studio A24 and it is rumored that the first season comes out next year on a streaming service.
8: I highly recommend the Spin-Off "Helluva Boss". It has already 1 season out with 7 episodes and season 2 has 1 episode (with the second one coming in late octovber, probably around Halloween). It takes place in a different part of Hell and features different characters but they are awesome.

I think this pilot (and Helluva Boss also) is deliberately VERY R rated because it's on youtube. If I remember correctly, Hazbin Hotel was posted around the time COPPA started regulating youtube and they kinda flagged everything animated as "for kids," so Viv made it so vulgar that youtube would not dare mistake this as "for kids."

Part of the problem is that a SIGNIFICANT portion of the fandom for this and Helluva Boss are young teens. Like 14 - 16. They aren't really equipped to deal with the adult topics (not just sex) and situations dealt with by the two shows. They miss a LOT and they latch on to characters and define themselves in terms of that character. So when things don't go as they think, it's like a personal attack on them. Some have put Viv through hell over things they don't like.

One lore tidbit that I feel is important (and highlights a difference between the story-telling of Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss) is that there are effectively two broad categories of demons residing in hell. First you've got _"sinners"_ who were born as humans, lived, were very naughty, died, and wound up in hell as a result of their life choices. Hazbin Hotel features a great many sinners as the prominent characters (Alastor, Vaggie, Angel Dust, Sir Pentious, Cherri Bomb, Husk, and Nifty are all sinners, along with quite a few others!) The form a sinner takes can be reminiscent of various demonic animals (Angel Dust as a "spider-boi" or Sir Pentious as a "snake-demon" for example), more or less humanoid (like Vaggie or Cherri Bomb), or any number of wild shapes in between.
The other broad type of demon are the _"hellborn"_ -- creatures native to hell who were never living souls on Earth. In Hazbin Hotel only Charlie (daughter of Lucifer and Lilith) is a prominent hellborn character that we've seen much of so far. In contrast, _all_ of the main cast of Helluva Boss are hellborn demons. Hellborn demons have their own social standings and classes, with Imps usually being the lowest of the lowly, Hellhounds and Succubi being a bit better off, and then up the social ranks all the way to the powerful demon princes -- including the family of demonic royalty known as the Goetia (from the mytho-historical? Ars Goetia.)

Welcome to the Hazbin/Helluva fandom; you will enjoy it here. Hazbin was picked up for a full series by A24, the same studio that produced Everything Everywhere All At Once. Helluva Boss is fully in-house by SpindleHorse, Vivienne's company, and is being released straight to Vivienne's UA-cam channel, Vivziepop; they're currently on the second season, having just recently released episode 2x01.
Here is a little info about Hell so you don’t get confused later on
Lucifer is the Devil and he and Satan are separate characters.
Hell has an overpopulation problem so Angels come every year to kill as many demons as they can to solve it.
Hell is basically made of seven planets stacked directly on top of each other, the planets are called rings and each ring is named after one of the Seven Deadly Sins (Pride, Wrath, Gluttony, Greed, Lust, Envy and Sloth, in that order).
The rings are also mistaken for the “Nine Circles” that Katie Killjoy mentions. Actually the Nine Circles refers to nine main locations of the Pride Ring alone (the first circle is Pentagram City aka the city in this episode and the second circle is Imp City which he see in Helluva Boss, the other circles haven’t been seen as of yet)
Hell also operates on a hierarchy defined by power in this order:
Lucifer Morningstar (the king of the Pride Ring but also all of Hell, it’s also been said by Vivziepop that Lucifer is the second most powerful being in the universe, second only to God himself)
Lilith Morningstar (Lucifer’s wife and the queen of Hell)
Charlie Morningstar (the princess of Hell and Lucifer’s heir)
The Seven Deadly Sins (a group of seven godlike demons, including Lucifer, Satan, Beelzebub, Mammon, Asmodeus, Leviathan and Belphegor, who are most likely Fallen Angels and rule over one of Hell’s Seven rings and basically embody their respective sin)
The Goetia Family (a clan of at least 72 extraordinarily powerful demons who serve as Hell’s nobility and are most likely Fallen Angels)
Overlords (Non-Fallen Angel demons who have immense power and rule over there own sections of Hell, Alastor is here but he’s only an Overlord by technicality due to his immense powers and both Cherri Bomb and Sir Pentious want to become Overlords)
Sinner Demons (humans who were reborn in Hell following their deaths, Angel Dust, Vaggie, Husk, Niffty, Sir Pentious, Katie Killjoy and Tom Trench are here)
And lastly Hellborn Demons such as Succubi, Imps and Hellhounds (demons who were naturally born in Hell, they rank below Sinners cause they can be killed easier, and Imps and Hellhounds are considered the lowest in Hell’s society with Imps being seen as slaves and Hellhounds being seen as pets)

Yes! I'd recommend checking out the Addict music video before watching Helluva Boss, so you can get all the watchable Hazbin content out of the way first. It provides more context and a bit of background to Angel as a character.
Hazbin is seemingly wrapping up production for s1, but we currently don't have a release date announcement as of yet.
As for Helluva Boss, it's 11/10! There's almost no misses with this series and the past few episodes have had such amazing animation and emotionally driven moments. Can't wait for you to watch it!

I was always blown away by the audacity of that newswoman.
Imagine you have literally the most royal of royalty, above all other nobility, in front of you and you threaten them. Like she even physically fights her. Even if she saw Charlie as a pushover, her parents probably wouldn't take lightly to some lowly pathetic demon trying to bury their daughter deep into the next ring of hell.... :T
Even with demons being, well, demons, who in their right mind would wanna tussle with the next in line to the throne of all of hell?! Charlie may also be kind in general but she could easily erase that newswoman out of existence and has demons around her that would 100% do that for her if Charlie didn't want to do it.
Here are some things to clear up, Hazbin Hotel and its spin-off Helluva Boss take place in the same universe, it's just that a crossover is very unlikely since they were created by different studios, however there are cameos of each other, such as how there's a Blitzo and Loona lookalike in the Hazbin Hotel pilot, or Loona watching Charlie's song from the Hazbin Hotel pilot in the Helluva Boss pilot. Another reason why Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss will never meet, since Hazbin Hotel takes place in the ring of pride, while Helluva Boss takes place in multiple rings of Hell, like Wrath where Satan is found, Lust where Asmodeus is found, and so on. There's also a social status on beings of Hell. From lowest to highest, there's imps and hellhounds which includes Millie, Moxie, and Loona. Next on the list are hellborn demons like the succubus, hellborns and below emit black blood when hurt. Next are sinners, which are former humans that died and woke up in Hell, instead of looking like stereotypical demons, they take different shapes based on who they were in life, and how they died. Like Alastor is a tall, lanky demon with radio-like features, and has an X on his forehead, and antlers when he's angry. The reason why he looks like this was because when he was alive on Earth, he was a host on radio broadcasts and he was a serial killer. His cause of death is getting shot in the head by a hunter who mistook him for a deer, while Alastor was hiding a body of one of his victims. Next are sinner overlords, Alastor counts as one. Overlords are sinners except they have more power and authority, they're even known for owning the souls of other sinners, like how Alastor owns Husker and Nifty, which is why he brought them to the hotel. Sinners and overlords can't truly die, they'll just revive themselves eventually, they can only truly die with angelic weaponry. Next are the ARS Goetia like Stolas, they're fallen angels who possess great powers, they are only vulnerable to angelic weaponry as well, since angelic weapons can harm angels. Next on the list, are the 7 deadly sins such as Mammon, the sin of greed, or Asmodeus, the sin of lust. Next are Charlie and her mother Lilith, Lilith's music is what inspires Hell's civilization to expand, which became a reason exterminators came down to destroy sinners. Charlie is powerful, it's just that due to her kind and optimistic behavior, no one takes her seriously. Last on the list, is Lucifer Morningstar(Last name: Magne, in the pilot), although he is sin of pride, he's the leader of the 7 deadly sins, and king of Hell himself, he's the father of Charlie Morningstar and husband to Lilith. Also, the same portrait that Alastor was looking at which shows Charlie with 2 other people, those are her parents.

There are lots of updates on the show's official Twitter and on Viv's account as well. We've gotten a bunch of updated character redesigns for the show. According to Viv some big news about it is supposed to be coming soon, so we're hoping for a release date or teaser or something.

Your understanding is correct. Helluva Boss has it's own pilot episode that you should react to. Helluva Boss Episode 1 is separate from and comes after the Helluva Boss Pilot just to be clear. One other note:the content warnings at the start of each Helluva Boss episode are worth pausing to read and change slightly with each episode.

I'm not sure how much of the teams are shared if any on the two shows but they are both getting published differently with Helluva Boss being released on their youtube channel and gets uploaded episode by episode as they produce them while Hazbin Hotel has an actual production company involved and it probably going to release in a season on one or more streaming services. Your reaction to this was great and I'd have no problems with some pauses to discuss things/look at background details. Looking forward to Helluva Boss.
If I had to guess myself, they probably do both shows at the same time. Only difference is Hazbin Hotel is being distributed and guided by A24 and Helluva Boss is 100% provided by Spindle Horse. PS I really hope that Viv can also release Hazbin Hotel on her UA-cam channel at the same time as it's being premiered.

These two shows are absolutely incredibly well made. Most adult animation is, shit. But this is top tier high quality stuff. The art direction is insane. The VAs do so good. The stories in both are extremely different and unique. They go hard with the R rating and don't mess around. But they have extremely relateable characters. Just love them.

Don't know if someone states it already, but Angel Dust has redeeming qualities, and not just because he said so xD (more so if you watch the Addicted music video). For one, he pushed Cherry Bomb out of the way and got held himself by Pentious. Later, he tries to say sorry to Charlie but doesn't seem to find the words. Perhaps he has a good heart deep down, but this is Hell, he has a rep and his bubbly, sarcastic, cynical, and extravagant attitude of a diva don't play well with showing kindness. At least at first. We will see, but many have high hopes for him to be one of Charlie's succeses.

Lore wise Charlie is the third most powerful being behind her father Lucifer (not Satan, as he’s a separate character) in first and her mother Lilith in second. Alistor is an overlord (most of whom are mortal sinners like Alistor vaggie and angel) and is at least powerful enough to be a serious problem if he ever decided to betray Charlie.
He gets stronger by making deals, if she shook his hand he’d become her level. We also don’t know how strong satan the second strongest sin is. (Next to lucifer.)

It's a pretty short series, in fact if one were to watch the whole thing it takes about 2.5 hours. It has an official English dub without copyrighted music as well. Another recommendation I'd like to give is actually a musical. It's called "The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals" by Team Starkid. It's free on UA-cam (recorded by the company that produced and performed it, meaning that it's official and not a bootleg). Starkid is known for their parody musicals such as A Very Potter Musical and Twisted, but recently have been creating more original musicals, such as the one I recommended. It's very fun to watch people's reactions to it, because it's definitely not what you'd expect it to be. Anyways yeah that's all I've got for recs.
