Thank you for this excellent tutorial. I just made a closure using heavy vellum and added a bit of colorful paper at the end of the strap to coordinate with my Chinese Thread Book. I tapered the edges to slide easily through the closure.
Great idea to use the grid to help with the 90 degree angle in the beginning. After your Zoom class I made my own video so I would remember your steps - similar to the way I have done it in the past, but clarifying and memorable, in the best sense. Thanks for this video - much appreciated! This is my favorite closure for the Zhen Xian Bao! What a cool discovery, that it is reversible!
This is such a great clear tutorial! Easy to follow. Thank you!

This was awesome! Wonderful tutorial!
Fantastic! I know of a much simpler paper belt, but this one is a wonderful step up from that. Thank you for the excellent lesson!!

Thanks so much Paula! Love it. I can see many projects with this in my future. It’s a great closure.
So glad you like it Jill. This folding is definitely a hidden gem within Hedi Kyle's work.

Amazing.
Great.

What weight of paper works well for this closure??
There is no best weight as far as I know. Just try out lots of weights and paper types and widths and see what you like.
