Leather, I have the black one, very classy and looks good even with jeans. I actually sold my reverse monogram Pochette Metis because it just seemed too loud and was more difficult for me to coordinate with my wardrobe
Honestly that is a tough question! LV knows about glazing issues so I believe that issue is corrected but use over a long time could cause a problem but I think that is a design issue. Canvas is more lightweight I feel that leather but honestly they are neck and neck on durability.
The blue leather is beautiful indeed as Blue is also my favorite color since time immemorial. But I have never been attracted to “Navy Blue” per se. The color I would have preferred would be Royal Blue, the most saturated loudest colore. If LV made a Metis Bag in that color, I would surely buy it. The closest color to this would be the IRIS blue produced by LV many years ago.
Just found your chanel and subscribed- i was looking for reviews of the black pochette metis. I have the reverse canvas but really want the black empriente too! I have been searching for one made in France - do you thin there is no difference than made US as most are. I am older than you and sometimes feel the pochette metis but be too young looking for me ?? But they do check all the boxes for me as a crossbody or shoulder carry everyday bag.
If they check all the boxes then it’s right for you!!! I do not think it’s too young at all…I do not think that MIF is better, I think they are all basically the same. I went and got the leather version and am happy to have both leather and canvas.

I just bought the leather Métis. It’s been on my list for so long and now my little kids are almost out of the toddler stage I can carry less now. I’m so sad I have to return it. It’s a beautiful bag but I’m only 5’ and the strap is too long for me. Someone recommended a cobbler to make more holes but for the prices of these bags I don’t want to make a hole in it for it to work. Lol I’m going to return and get another carryall. I have the black leather and I love it. The strap is perfect n

Iris was very beautiful 😍. They have been making special editions in the east west, maybe they will entertain a different blue!

Hmm I am also 5’ and my strap is ok. I’ve only had that issue on one bag. On another note, the carryall is on my wishlist!
What do you think about trusted sellers on FB? (In a LV group) if do whom do you find the most sincere?
I have bought off FB groups but have only used people that have been around for a long time. You should ask for references and use PP invoice as well.
