Worst boy band? Five at least has some awards and sold more worldwide. They were different compare to other groups and that why people like them. I like a few 98 degrees songs but I love all Five's albums. Plus Abz didn't seem to be serious when he did the TMZ interview but I am glad he stuck up for his group.
This is very funny to me. I worked with Five for many years and once, early in their career, I was in a VIP airport lounge in NYC on the way to London and ran across 98 Degrees. I started talking with Drew Lachey, who was very sweet, and he was surprised that I even knew who they were, since a person of my "age" didn't normally follow pop music. I told them I worked with Five and all 3 members of 98 Degrees gathered around me to chat. They had nothing bad to say except the boys in Five were rather 'wild', which was very true. I do believe Nick Lachey called them the Naughty Backstreet Boys of England. 98 Degrees were not a bad pop band, just a little bland for my taste. Obviously my love of Five endures to this day (check out "Cold Sweat" if you've never heard it) but for the life of me, I can't remember one 98 Degrees song. LOL.
I can totally see J Brown mopping the floors with Nick's face if he said that stuff back in the times when 5ive were in their full cast back in 90s. J never took shit from anobody who would diss the band or any other fellow band member. I believe him and Rich got into a brawl in a pub in Ireland cause somebody called them like "arrogant english pricks" or something of that sort. It was in the news even in Russia (which is where I lived at the time and went to high school), even over there people knew about it. Abz was also among those who always stood up to their band's honour and wouldnt let anybody talk shite about them like that. In other words - you don't mess with 5ive! :)
Imagine how dumb Nick would feel finding out that Abz is short for Abidin and he just made fun of his Turkish name.. Let’s not forget that Nick had his 98° tattoo covered…so he’s not even proud of his own boyband ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm from niether country these two boy bands are from, but definitely listened too Five growing up. I heard only one song of 98 degrees then heard nothing else. both were good but Five were definitely the better as they had more hit songs in my country than the other band.

I don't like it when people say that, even when it is true most of the time. There are several groups out there with legit talent. BSB and NSYNC were both truly talented groups, as well as Boyz II Men, BelBivDevoe, and even One Direction right now are talented. NSYNC if you listen to those guys sing a cappella, it's brilliant and BSB also have great singers all around. Also, NSYNC was highly entertaining every time they put on a show.
Belle Singer Ah Bellbivdevoe were a trio, in fact they were a spin-off of the group New Edition. Bobby Brown (who was married to Whitney Houston) was in that group and when he and another member went solo, the other 3 members of New Edition formed BelBivDevoe. I only know one song from them though, and it's called Poison. Check it out, I think you'll like it.

Abz is nothing to worry about and most boy bands are manufactured and not really that talented anyway!
