Вставка
- Опубліковано 14 бер 2020
- Time to install the parts onto the GY6 Ruckus! Everything I have been collecting for months is now ready to install. In the previous video we removed the head and now we will install the new 171cc head. This is not a how to video this is just documenting my experience.
Thanks everyone for all the support!
NOTE: I am not an expert but more of an enthusiast who is trying to build experience. Please feel free to ask questions in the comments or resources like 49ccScoot forums on the internet (Great Place!)

Next time you install a piston put one of the wrist pin clips in when you’re installing the rings that way when you‘re sliding everything together you only have to install one clip 🤙🏼
That sir is a kick ass idea !!!
Love the little mistakes. Keeps it authentic and enjoyable to watch
Dude I'm glad to know I'm not alone in getting a project almost done and have to take something off because I skipped a step. Good content bro.
Hey I use copper spray gasket on my old Volvo top end rebuilds! Works great!
I appreciate the time you take in your videos they are very informative and enjoyable. I really like your motovlogs I'm retired now and am looking to find a smaller 250cc to start back on and your videos on the kpr200 the x22gt and the Lycan makes it hard to choose the best one to save up for. Keep up the good work looking forward to your next installments.
Great vid man, Learn by doing and by making mistakes. you got the cam placement correct 14:15 the exhaust valve opens after the compression stroke so all good there.
Looking good man can't wait to see this thing back on the road you've definitely got my interest up still a little weary of wanting to try it on my own✌
Nice install
Great video keep up the good work and be safe
Pretty straightforward 🤙🏼
Yea not that hard just have to pay attention
@@SmallEngineVelocity sweet
You still need a harness
@@SmallEngineVelocity I still need a lot of things lol
Was the piston TDC correct? I’ve seen it at the top of the sleeve not at the bottom. Most importantly how much faster did it get and how does it run? I’m doing the same on my Kandi Go kart. What carb do you recommend? I’ve been told a cvk 30mm with matching intake works best. I appreciate you respondíng thanks
Can't wait to see the first of the many breakdowns you'll have with this GY6 garbage.
We will see about that :) I’ve come to the conclusion that 85% of the problems people have with a GY6 swap is purely poor wiring of the harness. Yes it’s chineesium , and a mass produced motor. Yes it can break easier than a Japan GET but from all the people who I’ve helped since I’ve done the swap everyone was broken solely due to poor or miss wired bikes. In the event of a brake down I’ll fix it and just ride another bike :)
That ankle biter is dope..
A smooth intake is not what you want to have it needs to be a little rough.
I totally agree but there was a 90 degree right angle there so it was a bit much to keep fuel sticking to the side
I’m trying to do a build myself but not sure which cam to chose. Why did you go with the A12 cam?
I need help u can't get my 171cc to go in as easy as u made it look. I'm starting to think it doesn't fit. What should I do.
Hey Caesar, can't wait to see the Ruckus back on the road. How fast do you think it will go??? 🛵
Ty for video!Nice!Wait video about ur feel riding)
Tighten the stud head bolts first before the two bolts on the outer side. You're risking the stud bolt thread. Other than that all good keep it up
Good tip !
Don’t be afraid to advise me because I am for sure NOT a mechanic
Do you still need to bore out the cylinder for a 150 scooter when installing a 171cc BB kit?
Not on some kits. The one I used was the ncy and you do not have to. For an example check smallenginevelocity.com I have it there. You don’t have to buy it there but you can use it as a reference
@@SmallEngineVelocity Thanks! Much better knowing I don't have to take the chance of messing up a bore. I'm good with a tap and die set but an engine bore is a whole different story.
Good video. Is the big bore worth it without doing a bigger stroke. On the stock stroke isn’t it only like 5cc gain?
It goes up to 171cc after the larger piston. I can get 76mph after some mild tuning and after I ported the intake manifold. I’d say for the price, yes it was.
Hey Caesar I’m Cesar! Could you please tell me where you hit the aluminum intake spacer or boot? Once I put a new 30mm CVK carb with the accelerator pump it needs to be taller. Thanks
I think this one was from The Ruck Shop. Its a riser and a clocking flange so you can turn the carb to the side a bit so it fits the ruckus frame. You can also get it at RollingWrench site also.
@@SmallEngineVelocity awesome! I’ll check it out. I’d like to get a long intake tube angled up Luke a foot so I won’t get sand in my air filter. Any suggestions? Thanks
What kind of gains can you reasonably expect going from 150 to 171
Torque
@@fil_larivvv4928 meh
How many times do you think you misplaced your 10mm during this build haha
Enough to know I need extra 3/8 and 1/4 10mm sockets
Ох и туго у тебя получается
Ха-ха-ха,цепь надо вытягивать,а потом цилиндр садить
Gy6 junk engines, when I see big bore gy6 I think.. so they just added more useless unnoticeable power lol gy6 engines feel gutless like no torque or anything just my opinion
