There's actually another Serb among the great NBA players, and you may be surprised but it is Luka Doncic since his father is a Serb (former basketball player, too) and his mother is a Slovenian. Having a Slovenian passport does not change the genetics. And when we're on genetics, some claim that one of the greatest talents who unfortunately ended his life in an accident was also a Serb from Criatia, i.e. Drazen Petrovic. Had Drazen lived to show his rich talents, who knows where he would have been in the All-time Gratest of the NBA players. @@NBATimeTravel you can have a bad game or 2 but not a tournament
@@SebastijanStanivuk Well, it depends, when you put together a roster of young stars who all want to shine the brightest, there will be no actual team play and USA was full of such examples. Pair this with an average coach (yes, Steve Kerr) and it’s a recipe for “whatever happens, happens”. Team chemistry will always play a big factor on such teams, and USA had no actual leader in the 2023 tournament
@@NBATimeTravel kindaaa same story with serbia?
Give Micic a couple of years in NBA and he will be in TOP10 instead of Rebraca.
He might, I’m just thinking that he’s a 30 year old rookie, not sure how much time he has to develop and adjust to the NBA style
@@NBATimeTravel If you remember Prigioni was 35 when he came to NBA (Knicks). And he was fantastic.
@@miloskrstic7713 I would call him flashy, he put on a show when playing, but he averaged 3.5 points per game, not quite fantastic 😅 loved him though, brilliant passer

All the best "Serbians" basketball players are from Croatia (predrag stojakovic, jokic family, kalinic,.,) and Bosnia and Herzegovina(divac,danilovic,.,)..8 mil serbians from serbia have produced zero elite basketball players..
Sve su to Srbi!!!😊
Bobi i Teo ne zaslužuju mesto u top 10. Umesto njih Jarić i Čabarkapa. Bobi je više maskota tima......

Nemanja Bjelica doesn't play basketball anymore. Do your research.
My bad, I dug on the subject a bit more and that’s true. He last played in Serbia after leaving the NBA until not too long ago, thanks for the comment!
@@NBATimeTravel He was supposed to play for Crvena Zvezda with Miloš Teodosić and Nemanja Nedović, but he never played. I was watching Crvena Zvezda games this seasson, and I wanted to see Bjelica play, but that never happened.
Thanks for clarifying! I also read something about him getting in a fight with the coach, pretty strange..
@@NBATimeTravel I was reading that too, but I don't know is it true. At the time coach was Duško Ivanović. He is know as a hard coach, so it might be true.
Just one small mistake - Teodosic and Bjelica are not teammates right now. But that's okay, Teodosic is playing for a very small Serbian club, so it's an honest mistake.
It's also important to remind that the list was based on the performance of the players just in the NBA League. If we talked about best Serbian players overall, even Jokic would struggle to reach top 5 of all time.
Indeed, the list only talks about NBA careers, not their international ones. About Teodosic and Bjelica, yes, other people in the comments let me know about this as well, it was my mistake as Bjelica retired before they had the chance to play together. Thanks for the observation!
