There were a few misunderstandings in your discussion about Imam Hussein, the son of Imam Ali. He led a revolution many years ago against injustice, the distortion of Islamic laws, discrimination, and other issues. Although Imam Hussein was brutally murdered, his revolution successfully corrected this significant deviation in the Islamic religion. Today, we have the true Islamic faith because of this blessed revolution in Karbala.
This has nothing to do with the two subdivisions of the Islamic faith, Sunni and Shia. Both love and respect Imam Hussein greatly because he and his brother, Hassan, are the grandchildren of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
