OMG. That last story actually broke my heart. Police should really take more seriously cases of stalking and not only punish once a crime happens but try to prevent them.

There is a sad joke about the police in my country that their popular answer in such cases is: "When you got killed - then come". I imagine a situation where a Japanese person who happened to move to or to visit my country gets killed there and decides to follow the advice...

Stalkers are terrifying and it can be really hard to get evidence for prosecution.

      Yeah it was so depressing...

Is there no scope for restraining orders or similar in Japan? The photos suggest the creep has been following M for years without her knowledge. And the biggest teeth grinder - 'She's MINE'. The attitude that she has no choice of association grinds my gears.

This is easily one of my favorite episodes. Both stories have quite a bit of kick to them and that second one really draws you in.

Interesting! It means that the dead come back right and are able to realize what happened to them or learn it from others later... and make good choices.

The first story is one of my new favorites! The second was so tragic!
You're a fantastic narrator, Tara! It's amazing how you differentiate people in a conversation with your inflection. Excited for the big 100!

I really enjoyed the first story, the aunt was chosen in the past but maybe she wasn't happy with that or chose it. I love stories about creepy villages with strange rituals. Reminds me of the movie X-cross

I just got an idea how to play Hyakumonogatari Kaidankai alone. You should just binge listen to all Kowabana episodes when the 100th is released. (I know it's not the same as the most of them contain more than one story but who cares, you already break the rules by playing alone.)

Are there no restraining orders in Japan? Also don't murder sentences have serious time as well?

Does 'bankai' literally translate as 'final release'? Yes, I'm a Bleach fan...
