Ok so after god knows how much debate, I'm recording this catch as a Brill for my own records now. I can't change the video unfortunately. So the hunt for my 1st Turbot continues...
Shane put me onto following you and what's awsome is your getting together and sharing the experience on both your videos 😃. I think that was a brill ? If so would that have been your Pb ? If so you and Shane got Pb's that night .. looking forward better sessions as the seasons are changing and hopefully you and Shane do more ? You bounce off each other 😀
Thanks Rick, we'll team up time to time so plenty more to come from us two. I beach fish but also have lure, kayak and sib sessions so won't always get out with others I had never caught a Brill or turbot so either would be a pb for me. Caught loads of the Small eyed rays so that wasn't a pb though still a good size. Thanks for watching mate 👍
@@fishaunangling I was the one commenting when you last fished from Poole in your sib and caught those plaice ! I spoke about the swash channel by the training bank .more sessions like last week in next video! The seasons are changing
Shaun a brilliant video well done to You & Shane a cracking session . A Lovely Turbot & A beautiful Smalleyed Ray . I really enjoyed this video . Shaun a nice little ending from Shane @ Fishing Dorset Live 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hello mate great video, we was down the pier on Friday night looking for a turbot (I need one for my species hunt) and ended up leaving and going to the beach due to all the people fishing for mackerel. Is there a best time to fish the pier for turbot or brill or anywhere else you can recommend?
I'd try snd fish the pier in the day to be honest. I was there Wednesday and it was just me until 5pm and then bedlam. Turbot aren't around at the moment though it seems. Not sure where else to try, I'd love to know myself. Probably the beach near the pier is a good shout
This debate will live on. Guys on the pier who catch both said it was a turbot but I'm not expert. Sent the photo roundto more experienced fishermen. Some said Brill, most said turbot. Thanks for watching 👍
