As a Kiwi fan...this.win was amazing....the team seemed very determined and caught almost everything. There are a few changes to the team that can make it even better. We always seem to be an injury or two away from our best but they pulled it off regardless. A great show from Ravindra as to how to bat against India.
Mate you should be so proud. The big 3 - Aus, England and India have much to learn about the humbleness of the NZ team. Ofcourse the arrogance of the big 3 will override their capacity to learn.
@sanjayprakash471 we do not have the passion for cricket that India does...but I believe coaching of youngsters has improved here regardless...especially compared to when I was a youngster. India are in a similar boat to Australia with ageing players, but my perception of India is that their young guns to come in are significantly stronger than Australia’s. Jaiswal, Gill, Sarfaraz, Washington are actually playing better than most of the older guys in that team
Dont underestimate NZ. We could have won the 2nd test at Christchurch against Australia last year. Cam Greens last wicket stand with Lyon in the first test got Australia a match winning lead in first test. We have Kyle Jamieson coming back, Sears will replace Southee in the future and Kane Williamson didnt play the test series against India.

Indian superstar batsmen flourish when the condition are flat and offer no assistance to bowlers spin or pace. We saw that in first test 46 all out and second test. When the ball does not get above the knee and there is no pace in the wicket, they are kings
I wonder if Williamson will be fit for the 3rd test at Wankhede. That would be great. Unfortunate for Will Young who's done a good job, but obviously he'll make way for Kane when he's fit. Also wonder if Henry will be right from his glute strain which didn't sound too serious, but obvioisly enough to prevent his taking part in Pune. If he'd been fit, Southee might've missed out, although im not certain of that. If they play 3 seamers again in the 3rd test then Santner will have to play at the expense of Patel on current form. That's a good side: Latham*, Conway, Williamson, Ravindra, Mitchell, Blundell+, Phillips, Santner, Henry, Southee, O'Rourke. 3 seamers and still 3 spinners if Ravindra gets more overs. He's taken a test 3fer at Wankhede Stadium on the last tour, in the test where Ajaz Patel took his 10fer and 14 for the match, Ravindra took 3 - 56 off 14 overs in India's second innings. He's shown in his short test career to date, that he can bowl proper left arm orthodox spin at that level and take wickets, even though his bowling is a work in progress still. I think he's going to be a magnificent batting allrounder.
Also, although he hasn't taken a bag yet, not having really bowled enough overs, i think Southee's getting back to somewhere near his best form. Relinquishing the captaincy has helped his bowling i think. Im not worried about his age at almost 36. He's a very fit athlete and dosen't rely on great pace obviously. I think he's got plenty left in the tank yet, and i hope he can maintain good form now and keep his spot so he can overtake Hadlee's tally of 431 test wickets. That late outswinger that knocked off Rohit's off stump in India's first innings at Pune, was an absolute beauty. A Southee classic, and it got the ball rolling so to speak. The only wicket of the match to fall to seam bowling, and the Indian captain for a duck right up front.

Im not saying it was intentional, but that full toss from Santner to Kohli was actually a pretty useful delivery. Test cricket is not that popular in india 😂😂 majority of our fans are obsessed with white ball format specially odi formats and we play 4 matches t20 series in south africa next month if we win the series against south africa every one will forget new zealand test series 😂😂😂
And that's why you're not real cricket fans
@@louquay I love test cricket but in india majority of the fans are obsessed with white ball format that's the fact
NZ was good. Just admit that they were a better team. And there are concerns about India sure but they are team who come hard at you even if you knock them down so I wouldn't take it easy.
These guys are rejoicing as if they hated indian rise in cricket.
Everyone would prefer NZ to win.
Arrogance, lack of application and temperament cost India the test series against New Zealand.
