I remember watching this show during the weekdays on KPIX channel 5 which is our CBS affiliate in San Francisco California. you’re right. Sweet memories growing up as kids. I miss the game shows of yesteryear. Rest in peace to Bert Convy, and gene wood.
I was on Win, Lose or Draw with Elaine Boosler, Bob Saget, Martin Moll and Merrill Markoe. Bert Convy, host kissed me on the cheek. It was 1986 or 1987.
Bert Convy was working on a revival of Match Game for ABC daytime but shorty after the weeks worth of pilots were shot (in what would be his final TV appearances) he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor and pretty much retired from show business after that. He would succumb to that tumor less than a year later. GSN occasionally airs those episodes and I’m sure a few of them can be found here in UA-cam or on Buzzr.
This game show i remember this back in the day the 80, s and brings back memories norman fell aka mr stanley roper the ropers spin-off from three's company air from 79, to,80,great sitcom my generation my favourite show.
I remember in one episode how the person simply began drawing a line and the team guessed correctly right away as to what it was, so only a couple of seconds had gone on the clock.
Now only styler pen for drawing on tablets or androids almost everything digital electronic media. gone are the good old days of marker and paper flip boards and friends gather around bonding having fun laughing and a great time.
More and more I keep searching old shows that were so wholesome and family friendly! Nowadays shows are getting more and more obscene and ridiculous in the name of progression! This is so cool! And I’m under 40, so I’m definitely not old fashioned. I just hate the over-sexualised, violent swearing culture we have created through media to feed our young peoples’ minds!
Bert Convy was about to begin hosting a new version of Super Password. In 1990 he was visiting his mother in the hospital where she was recovering from a stroke when he had a seizure. It was there that he was found to have a brain tumor. Despite treatment/surgery, he passed away in July 1991 at 57.
I was on with Dick Clark. Michael Winslow, Melba Moore & Bert Convey... my opposing contestant was named Frank. I cannot find it anywhere. Any suggestions? Thank you
Tom Jones is old now. But in 1960s, the young Tom Jones looked like Bert Convy. I thought they were the same person...I was wrong. I am from Indonesia and was born in 1974.
do they still count as celebrities if you have to ask i'm sorry but who are you?? recognize normen fell of course but don't know these other 3 people??
Wasn’t there an episode where somebody got hit over the head with a card and the celebrity cried and there was an apology after a commercial break? Help.......
The guy going to Tokio for his mission served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!! Good for him!! I hope he had the best time in Tokio!!
The game shows today is boring. Even family feud right now and the price is right. Give me my old school version of the price is right, along with the other old-school Goodson Todman games. Even this game along with the 80s version of Hollywood squares. Good family entertainment back in the day. I grew up watching both of those shows in the 1980s.
This dude is going to be a missionary for his church, and when shown the word "bottom", he chooses to draw a person's ass instead of a box with an arrow.
Bert was a great host! Happy vibes watching this as a kid. The 80s were the best. 😊

I love the living room set and the contestants kneeling on the floor...so cozy
Back when Game Show Network showed game shows. Now it should be called Family Feud Network
SOOOOOOO FUCKING tired of nonstop Family Feud
Buzzr
Buzzr is great so is Pluto Tv in general but I can’t stand family feud although GSN is producing their first new game in 6 years
Roku has that channel already
Yeah, no kidding!

Imagine being on a TV game show,
Not remembering what year it was... 😏

those people are so happy
The only time Gene Wood announced a non-Mark Goodson produced game show.
Actually, both he and Bert Convy is doing a game that’s a non-Mark Goodson game. I think it’s a first for the both of them. I might be wrong.
@2:10, "Why ya going to Tokyo?" "I'm a missionary." "Oh, really!"
A Bert and Burt production.👍

At the same time, Burt Convy hosted the syndicated version (sometimes called "nighttime"), Vicki Lawrence the network ("daytime").

The people should have been purple, not the eater.
No. The one-eyed monster as noted in the song was purple. Not the people.
