I didn’t know everyone hated that drop. I always dance to it + thanks to it the transition from chorus to verse is not too brutal But it’s interesting in that way and the edit is super cool
The only criticism of this edit (which is 10,000% better than the original) is that it doesn't really have an *ending*, it just cuts off right before the last repetition of the chorus. There isn't even a fadeout on the end. It feels like faceplanting into a wall, or tripping off the edge of a cliff. If it had a fading repetition of the chorus, that would be ideal, or even just a fadeout on the melody without lyrics, that would be better than the abruptness of the current ending, which brings back memories of the horrible drop in the middle of the original. All of this is meant as constructive criticism, not meaning to hate on the song. As I mentioned initially, this is hugely better than the original, and I've been listening to it on loop for -hours- now. ^^ Thank you so much for making the best version of this wonderful song!
Maybe someday I might consider making a version of this that has a drop but however sounding like the chorus melody instead, to where it’s a less monstrous bass and more melody instead.
