Thanks for the help! I used this tutorial to REMOVE a jb4 that the previous owner had. I enjoyed it for a little while, but it gave me lots of problems & frequent limp mode, to the point I just disabled it. I've been running mhd only for a while and there's been no problems or limp mode! So I'm getting rid of it. I plan on going Motiv Reflex later down the line anyway, for when I get bigger turbos, PI, e85 hardware, & a second fuel pump.
Followed your video when installing mine , after it was on drove the car for 15 mins parked it shut it off now it won’t turn back on. Any idea what this could be maybe i fried a fuse or something? Tried jump starting it and nothing
Haha I know, oh well we are human we all make mistakes 😇 I am happy that it was a stupid mistake that was easily fixed! And did not cause any damage lol
@@tunerworld haha true bro ! Bout to put the jb4 right now . I got a serious question tho can I just install and drive away or do I have to set up something in the dash board
@@ysljay9061 make sure all the settings are right. If you have a backend flash, you gotta use one setting and if you have stock flash it’s another. Also have to make sure to input what car it is installing it for the gauges
@@tunerworld yes the pin I had to splice the brown wire to the red power wire due to the pin breaking now I want to take out the jb4 and I need to install a new pin and take out the splice
🚨Video was very helpful however my car has a weird idle right now it runs fine for about 30 seconds to a minute and then it stalls out any tips please 🚨 I’ve checked everything and it’s all correct idk what I’m doing wrong do I need to set my jb4 to like a reset mode please help thank you
@@caseyard7143 pretty much you turn the key on with engine off and hold the gas pedal down for 30 seconds and then you turn the car off, let go of the pedal, and wait 3 minutes before starting the car
I would remove the battery first to be safe but worse case you’ll be okay without doin that either. I usually don’t disconnect the battery because I forget haha
This was a quick and perfect guide to install JB4. I’m about to install it on my car and this will definitely make it a lot easier.

Is it still cranking? Any codes? It could be a loose wire somewhere or maybe a blown fuel pump fuse. Also check the codes if you can

Why did you unplug all of the other little plugs separate from the DME?
To allow clearance to remove the DME!
How did you fix buttons not working? Jus ran into the same problem
Check to make sure your power is good and then replace the buttons if it still doesn’t work!

The blue connector in the beginning? I wouldn’t worry too much about it as you don’t mess with it for the JB4 to work! You should be fine :)

Any one know where I can get that terminal where the plug connects to the green plug the power
You talking about the pin? You can always splice into it as well if needed!

If it’s missing I would just splice into the wire. Or you can contact BMS for a new one maybe!

Did you do the throttle learning procedure? How do your plugs and coils look?

This install fried my dme when I plugged battery back in, followed these instructions. Would not recommend
MSD80? You may have mad some bad MOSFETS to begin with or did something absolutely horribly wrong
