Great Vid. I usually route my game audio through my DAW and use an LA-2A with fairly aggressive settings, I used your EQ settings as a starting point and it worked out pretty well.

When I had turned on HRTF I could BARELY hear a difference for footstep sounds, but hitmarkers, and gunshots almost sounded a bit dull, or muted (I don't really know how to explain it in better terms), so I just turned it off and went on my merry way. This is the first time I've played with audio configuration, and I loved your guide. It was simple and straight to the point, with some explanations of how everything works. I'll say that I'm still confused about whether I should keep using the APO Equalizer versus Dolby Atmos's equalizer, but I'll say the footsteps sound is much clearer now than before with my Pulse 3D headset (I use it on PC).

As a PS5 user, I’m slightly disappointed in it, as before purchasing it, they had Google play and Apple App Store logos on the website, which let me to believe I can tweak settings on G8 via my phone, but this is not the case. They have removed the logos since then from their website. Despite mixing 2 sources being a cool feature, G8 feels like a bit of a downgrade compared to G6, since I can’t enable/disable sidetone or adjust its volume without hooking the device to my PC. Also, there is a bug where to enable SBX after a cold boot, you gotta cycle through SBX and scout mode once, and only on the second cycle my onboard EQ preset kicks in. For example, after the G8 turns on, i gotta cycle off->SBX->Scout Mode->off->SBX, only now SBX actually turns on.

You can use the mobile app as well. I just submitted my A50X preset to Logitech. Just waiting for them to publish it on community presets. I'll do my best to update the description or the pinned comment when I can share all the settings for A50X!

Question if I'm on PS5, and im using a Asus ROG Delta 2, would you suggest leaving the armoury crate EQ flat and just adjusting the EQ in call of duty itself? Seeing as the armoury crate EQ is kind of tricky with not showing numeric values when you make adjustments. Thanks
Thanks! So for ROG I would still use either Armory Crate to save the profile to the headset. It’s a lot more effective than just the call of duty settings.
Finally! Thank you! Someone has solved the never ending EQ settings issue when Warzone changes. I only play Warzone. I'm a PS5 user. I have Pulse Elite headset. On PS5 all you can change is 5 EQ settings. Nice and simple. (Bass, Low, Mid, High, Treble) which I have been told are (100hz, 400hz, 1khz, 4khz, 10khz) Squid link. Models: Playstation Pulse Elite. Gaming target: Warzone 2024. Equaliser. AutoEQ. Done. The questions is, how do I apply those AutoEQ settings to my five PS5 EQ settings? The frequencys are all random. Help! Thank you in advance.
It's certainly weird to have multiple HRTFs going at once. DTS is a different take, but you could always try both at the same time. I tried it with Atmos on/off and the difference wasn't that big
I tried the squig link auto eq for the nova pro wireless for BO6. But the eq it gives isn't good. The footsteps are not at all audible. The Gt Tune for MW3 still works amazing for BO6. But I am hoping for a sonar tutorial for BO6 in the future as well.
I found out about this channel recently as I was looking for good gaming headsets. I went with the nova pro wireless. I am not a person who goes deep into audio settings and stuff coz to me most of it sounds the same. But this channel has taught me so much about eq and stuff that it has actually enhanced my audio experience. I am not a fan of long UA-cam tutorials with alot of information but this channel has been an exception. I have watched whole videos just learlistehow to enhance my audio experience. It's live! If you don't see it, you need to refresh cache. Try CTRL+F5, or enable Dev mode (F12), then right click on refresh symbol, then click empty cache and hard reload. Hope that helps!

Hi, I was wondering if you had any opinions on the sennheiser hd 569 for gaming. I was looking at those and the dt 770 pros, but the sennheisers look a lot comfier to me and I’ve never gotten a really nice pair of headphones like them before so I don’t know anything about amps and such. Do you think they are good for gaming or I should get something else?

I’m playing on PC and have Dolby Atmos enabled. I’m using the Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro wireless and was wondering if I can apply the Parametric EQ settings as seen in your video and if I should disable Sonar and use Peace instead.
You could use either! If Atmos is running, Sonar won't work, but you can still use PEACE + Equalizer APO. Otherwise, with Sonar On, you can run the auto-EQ button, then manually type those in to Sonar.
i only use Loudness EQ to low, IEM's and that's it, with that i'm fine. It is a shame that after so many years and all that money and talent Activision still can manage to give us a good audio mix in the game...

@@ofreeser78 you can use the Logitech app for the eq part, then see if enhanced mode helps or hurts afterwards. I prefer the treyarch mix for audio in game.

By any chance would you be able to replicate windows loudness equalization in equalizer APO. I bought a Schiit Gunnr dac and the dac doesn’t support audio enhancements. Would be really cool👍
Unfortunately you can't in APO without plugins (I haven't tried but I know it's possible). You could use Headphones mode, and then use Dolby Atmos and enable volume leveler. That get's you pretty close
I found several posts on Reddit that mention : Some distortion and maybe some weird compression algorithms (I think) due to the EQ boosting some frequencies above the maximum line level. Every time it plays one of the boosted frequencies it seems like the sound is being squashed a bit to keep the signal from distorting (above the 0dB line). If you subtract 6 from all of these so that your highest frequency is set to 0 then the sound is much more coherent, dynamic and less distorted. No additional compression/limiting processing ruins the sound. What do you think about it ?
You could technically do a negative EQ but you lose a lot of overhead. If you boost anything to an extreme, you will certainly have clipping/distortion. In PEACE, there is a preamp slider that lowers the output as a whole, eliminating any chance of clipping or distortion, but will also lower peak volume slightly. The auto eq tool will automatically set an aggressive pre amp cut to make sure you never have distortion.

Is it possible to set custom EQ's to multiple audio outputs? Like I use Sonar to mix my game, chat, music audio and when I upload my headsets BO6 EQ from Squiglink into Peace, it applies that EQ to every channel in Sonar. I installed Equalizer APO onto each individual Sonar channel and also to my FiiO K5 Pro so I can make changes to them. I would like to apply the BO6 EQ only to my Sonar Gaming channel and not my music, I do like the Peace Bass and High Boost 2 preset for music, but idk how to apply that to ONLY my Sonar Media channel. On mobile it’s hard because it hides the targets. You have to find the row that shows the base sound target then scroll left or right to find black Ops. Then in equalizer tab you should be able to auto eq. It is there but may take some clicks. Otherwise a standard web browser should be able to handle it quickly
@GadgetryTech Amazing video bro, thank you You and I have similar hearing and I’m using your Nova 7 EQ for previous COD and it also works great in BO6. I’m hearing footsteps perfectly with the Treyarch Mix and I don’t think I need to change anything. If anything it feels like footsteps in BO sound engine is more in the lower bass region and also feels like if I put the Nova 7 EQ back to its default EQ, which has almost perfectly accurate bass and mids, it will actually be better for BO6, just new to increase the 4kHz a little like in your original Nova 7 video I’ve tried the new so called paid to win option and it literally ruined the experience for me and it made footsteps almost non existent I also tried my Truthear Crinacle Blue and Simgot EM6L and while the overall audio is cleaner with the IEM’s, I much prefer the Nova 7 as the footsteps were much louder

Hi, I was wondering if you had any opinions on the sennheiser hd 569 for gaming. I was looking at those and the dt 770 pros, but the sennheisers look a lot comfier to me and I’ve never gotten a really nice pair of headphones like them before so I don’t know anything about amps and such. Do you think they are good for gaming or I should get something else?
I've noticed better 3d positioning in headphone mode than in TreyMix

I’m playing on PC and have Dolby Atmos enabled. I’m using the Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro wireless and was wondering if I can apply the Parametric EQ settings as seen in your video and if I should disable Sonar and use Peace instead.
You could use either! If Atmos is running, Sonar won't work, but you can still use PEACE + Equalizer APO. Otherwise, with Sonar On, you can run the auto-EQ button, then manually type those in to Sonar.

i only use Loudness EQ to low, IEM's and that's it, with that i'm fine. It is a shame that after so many years and all that money and talent Activision still can manage to give us a good audio mix in the game...

@@ofreeser78 you can use the Logitech app for the eq part, then see if enhanced mode helps or hurts afterwards. I prefer the treyarch mix for audio in game.

By any chance would you be able to replicate windows loudness equalization in equalizer APO. I bought a Schiit Gunnr dac and the dac doesn’t support audio enhancements. Would be really cool👍
Unfortunately you can't in APO without plugins (I haven't tried but I know it's possible). You could use Headphones mode, and then use Dolby Atmos and enable volume leveler. That get's you pretty close
I found several posts on Reddit that mention :
Some distortion and maybe some weird compression algorithms (I think) due to the EQ boosting some frequencies above the maximum line level.
Every time it plays one of the boosted frequencies it seems like the sound is being squashed a bit to keep the signal from distorting (above the 0dB line).
If you subtract 6 from all of these so that your highest frequency is set to 0 then the sound is much more coherent, dynamic and less distorted.
No additional compression/limiting processing ruins the sound.
What do you think about it ?
You could technically do a negative EQ but you lose a lot of overhead. If you boost anything to an extreme, you will certainly have clipping/distortion. In PEACE, there is a preamp slider that lowers the output as a whole, eliminating any chance of clipping or distortion, but will also lower peak volume slightly. The auto eq tool will automatically set an aggressive pre amp cut to make sure you never have distortion.

I prefer Treyarch mix for most game modes. More quiet modes, go w headphones
Is it possible to set custom EQ's to multiple audio outputs? Like I use Sonar to mix my game, chat, music audio and when I upload my headsets BO6 EQ from Squiglink into Peace, it applies that EQ to every channel in Sonar. I installed Equalizer APO onto each individual Sonar channel and also to my FiiO K5 Pro so I can make changes to them. I would like to apply the BO6 EQ only to my Sonar Gaming channel and not my music, I do like the Peace Bass and High Boost 2 preset for music, but idk how to apply that to ONLY my Sonar Media channel. Thanks!

Everytime i click on a headset it brings up another link with only the headset and not the blops 6 eq. (Phone)
On mobile it’s hard because it hides the targets. You have to find the row that shows the base sound target then scroll left or right to find black Ops. Then in equalizer tab you should be able to auto eq. It is there but may take some clicks. Otherwise a standard web browser should be able to handle it quickly

You and I have similar hearing and I’m using your Nova 7 EQ for previous COD and it also works great in BO6. I’m hearing footsteps perfectly with the Treyarch Mix and I don’t think I need to change anything. If anything it feels like footsteps in BO sound engine is more in the lower bass region and also feels like if I put the Nova 7 EQ back to its default EQ, which has almost perfectly accurate bass and mids, it will actually be better for BO6, just new to increase the 4kHz a little like in your original Nova 7 video
I’ve tried the new so called paid to win option and it literally ruined the experience for me and it made footsteps almost non existent
I also tried my Truthear Crinacle Blue and Simgot EM6L and while the overall audio is cleaner with the IEM’s, I much prefer the Nova 7 as the footsteps were much louder
