So what was it you were scanning? Something on the phone or something placed on the glass?
Something placed on glass comes on phone.
why do you have to open your camera to see if your wifi is is on? I have that app, but it still won't let my phone find the printer.

Yes it needs that. Move printer near router or in strong signal. Make sure you enter printer in setup mode
I have bought a new hp ink tank wireless 415, and I have installed the hp smart app on my andriod. In the smart hp ap and also on my PC installed app the INK ESTIMATED LEVEL UNAVAILABLE not shown even when I connect my USB cable. Is it hardware or sofware problem ?

Which printer you are trying to use? May be I can forward a video. Also when you use HP Smart app it will help you step by step to find the printer.

No, it can not set for both sides. You have to do it yourself while scanning

You will have to download any collage app (I use "Photogrid") and make a collage of your pictures and then use HP Smart to print them on one sheet.
