For Slay the Spire adjacent I've been loving Roguebook. Has an exploration element and it's Roguelite as in you gain resources to buff all of your future games, in a talent tree (on top of unlocking new cards).
Not like you'd need many StS alternatives with it's newer fan expansion on Steam (I need to get that version I have the Switch one).
I play tainted grail with a house rule that lit menhirs never go dark and the game is wayyyy more enjoyable
I doubled up on the countdowns (16 turns instead of 8). The joy is in the exploration for me, but I still wanted some time constraint in keeping with the theme.
Yep, that's my plan, the 16 turns.
You know Lunar rush sounds like a great way to explain/show real world logistics. I like the thought.
The Tiny Epic game that keeps coming back to my table is Tiny Epic Zombies. We house rule it a bit (we reshuffle the deck when we run out of cards rather than treating it as game over) but there's enough variety in it to keep bringing it out once in a while. And who doesn't love ITEMeeples and sticking them in the cop car or motorbike?
I’m looking forward to Beast hitting retail, since my bank refuses foreign currency conversions and Kickstarter doesn’t use PayPal.
m... i just had a dejavou
;)
You really need to play parks with nightfall and ankh with pharaoh.. I didn’t like either game until the expansions..
Since you enjoyed Slay the Spire, I recommend trying out Griftlands. A fantastic deck building video game that feels a lot like slay the spire, but with a bit more complexity and a story line for each character.
Re Jaded… anyone can get jaded from doing something a lot. Not sure when I started watching your channel but it has been a while. When I (you) started there was a different feel, the professionalism has increased on every level. This is your job now so things had to change which is why I watch your twitch channel as it shows what you enjoy. I have hundreds of games, I don’t need anymore games but if I see you enjoying a game then I can be persuaded. Simply put, I watch your UA-cam for information/analysis but I watch your twitch channel for fun and I only play/buy games for fun. Hope that makes sense.
I really love these videos. It would be great if you could do a review video or a further impressions video when the new Gamefound project launches. I've actually been hoping that they would send you a review copy so that you could cover it. I have everything for Tainted Grail except for the journal and art book but haven't gotten super far into the base game because I keep dying or going insane and to be honest I just have too many other games that take priority over a story-driven game that requires extended playing time. Trying to decide if getting the new TG is worth it or not. I've really, really enjoyed my time with it so far and am leaning towards picking up the new content.
You aren't jaded, Guild of Merchant Explorers is ok, not great.
Lol good to know :)
I liked Now or Never at first. After playing 4 or 5 games, I don’t really want to play it anymore (only played the first two chapters). Didn’t feel like there’s that much of a difference between plays to keep me coming back to it
How does Cyberpunk 2077 compare with Tamashii?
Very different games, I prefer Cyberpunk but both are solid.
30 games in a month! So a game a day or do you play multiple in one day? I can’t even get past 2 board games a week that have been sitting on my shelf with going through the rule books and remembering what’s what. 30 makes my mind spin. Haha.
Is this a reupload? Could've sworn I watched this already....
It went up early a few weeks ago, and I took it down
