Ah, Ms. Killing Field, how I despise you!
She is one of the worst bosses in the game for several reasons:
- Effect Zone (ToD2 style bosses)
She can hurt anyone around her as well as cause status effect. The best way to prevent this is to have a range unit hit her to make her stop her "automatic" effect.
- Transparent Projectiles
Her projectiles and attacks goes through players.. so it can hit ANYONE in its path.
- Trolling Laugh
She will laugh and a lightning strikes down on someone resulting in death. Problem is you don't know who it is until they get hit (in this case it was Cheria thankfully).
- Killing Field (PS3 only)
This attack is only done during BREAK (and after BREAK if you are unlucky). It is a full-field damage which sadly the Allies AI can't SS to avoid dying at all. IF YOU fail to SS properly, you may get a Game Over also.
There is nothing to prevent Killing Field from triggering once she starts casting during Break.. and with Allies AI not able to perform perfect SS, this is usually the game-breaker right here.

Anyways, I used Malik instead of Sophie to help Cheria keep Ms. Killing Field from using her Zone (thanks to RR for the tip) while I try to keep her locked so she doesn't use Killing Field or Decisive Saber (her hi-ougi).
Also another key is to exploit her full weakness so when you go into RISE (since Chaos mode multiplies the weakness damage a lot), you can deal the most damage with your hi-ougis especially if you have "Mystic Arte 40%" title equipped (the amount of HP she had dropped tremendously if you notice).
Too bad no 60 second trophy, would love to revenge rage on her from all the nightmares in my JP gameplay.

I remember when I first fought Emeraude, she was such a powerful boss that I was convinced she was the final one.
Man it took me actually like 20 tries to beat her on normal... You just made it look like cake on chaos! RESPECT

Maan, you've got some serious moves. I played this battle a couple of hours ago and had a really hard time beating it. You deserved the trophy

Don't know if you ever found out, but Hubert is the one that says "Can ya keep up?" and he says it when he uses Dualblade Dance. @MasterLL Man currently me and my brothers are playing this exact boss fight right now on Chaos and it seems like we have it manageable but wow you totally rocked her world. Congrats on the quick win.
If you've fought Amber I bet you would remember "Crimson Disc, Crimson Disc, Crimson Disc" Me at time: "Those trolls!!"
I don't know why, but the way they programed these bosses makes me feel Tales Studio were out to piss people off.

Man, I wish I could watch your streams because I would love to see your set up for this but I always have to work during them... do you shut off everyone's moves except for a certain A-Arte branch? Because my AI controlled characters don't kick as much butt as yours... :(
