Loving these tldr versions. I like the long ones too, but when I have to come back and rewatch them to find something specific it takes some time to find the exact part I was looking for. Ty for the videos
Thanks for the TLDR, but it would be great to see an example of an AOE farm with SoW since you covered it in the beginning of the video. Both an example before lvl 41 and after lvl 41. Else great video as always. Currently my sta / Int paladin is lvl 37 and im enjoying it so far. Looking forward to lvl 41 :)
AoE faming isn't a thing before Level 41... and post level 41 its the same as ANY Paladin AoE farming guide. Pretend Seal of Wis, Judge of Wis, and MR Consecration are your ONLY spells... The end. But I supose I can get you in the next vid... maybe.
heya, do you think you could make a vid on weapon progression for 1-60? I know knightly longsword is essentially confirming the run, but wanted to know other options for pre 33 and maybe a bit after.
Idk if I want to AOE grind from 41-60 and I’ll probably do some questing is the single target rotation the same post lvl 41? And is knightly longsword still viable for single target fights or should I use a higher dps wep when I plan on questing?
Yet again a very informative video! These small videos are perfect to share if anybody ever questions what you are doing you can send them here. I have a question about spell power ratio. I get The mana saving option when it comes to using lower rank and how rank 3 has a higher spell power ratio (18) but my question is what effects spell power ratio? Is it intellect? If so is the only reason we use lower ranks to save mana and still put out decent enough damage to kill our target within that 30 second window?
judging Judgement of the crusader on the target is what gives the paladin that extra spell power for the damage on max rank consecration and rank 3 SoJ to be worth it
When you are trying NOT to die or doing level 30-40 AoE Pulls. Not advised on HC. Speed Runners AoE tank level 24+ when they get Seal of Light... give or take.
Per another comment, would love to see some examples of you accomplishing it. First question, are you using retribution aura or devotion aura primarily? Which one for single target and which one for aoe pulling? Second question, how do you adapt your strategy to varying amounts of unit pulls? For example if there are only 2 mobs to reasonably pull, do you just focus on burning 1 down at a time, or do you treat it just like an aoe pull?
I got Flurry Axe in HC. How long do you think its good for tanking? Or is it even worth to equip or should I take the 200-300g by selling? Thank you, liked and subbed
Its the best Tanking Wep for paladin in the game... #2 Best AoE tanking wep second only to edward the odd. #1 to #2 Hightest damaging 1 hander for paladin in the game depending on enemy armor levels... example: Hungering cold at 1.5s 72 DPS is 5% more DPS at armor 40%... at 45% Flurry Axe > Damage
You use devo aura 95% of the time. Massive defense bonus is OP while leveling against melee mobs. You only switch to ret aura if you wanna aoe multiple melee mobs, but that rarely happens
@@Ryukasan1false lol. You run ret aura and use Defense elixirs to make up the loss of armor. You ALWAYS run ret aura in 1h shield. With 2H run devotion aura.
You keep saying the spell power ratio is the same but we don’t have any spell power on gear while leveling. Without any + spell power they’re all the same ratio.
Judgement of Crusader gets new rank every 10 levels... Maxes out at 140 Holy Spell Power at level 50. I think mine is 80 at level 30 in the video. That's what's causing SoR 3 to jump up +15 damage a sing at 1.5 speed. +10 HPDPS is no Joke. Holy DPS is not the same as white dps because it don't care about armor or resists. It also causes Consecration to do more damage but the ratio their is HILARIOUSLY bad. But its like +3 DPS. Even at level 60, End game gear paladin spell power ranges from 300-350 in PvP. And Judgement of Crusader is +175... causing my fully Axe to do 100 SoR Damage at 1.3s speed.
If you do the math on that... Thunking away at 70 White damage and 100 Holy damage vs most armored targets. Flurry Axe if it was a 3.8s Weapon would read about 500 damage a swing. Which is Respectable and INSANE vs Heavy Armor Targets. Ret Reck does about 600 average with it being MUCH more armor dependent. Oh and then their is Forst oil... 10% proc change... x2 with SoR... 30 base damage +30% Spell Power ratio (so 120 damage bolts) that slow the target... No PPM just 10% Per Hit... BEAUTIFUL.
I’m testing it now on my lvl 40 pally. Judge crusader rank 4 then use seal of righteousness. Rank 5 SoR is doing 20 dmg per hit and 140 per judgement. Rank 3 SoR is also doing 20 dmg per seal hit but only 90 dmg per judgement. So I’m getting the same seal dmg at a lower mana cost but much lower judgement dmg. I would think the extra judgement dmg is worth it especially in a fleeing mob.
SoR Damage is SPEED based. SoR Does say... 10 damage per second of Swing Speed. So at 1s it will be 10 and at 4s it would be 40. The Spell Power ratio is steady at X% Per hit reguardless of wep speed. So a FAST 1s Wep will be 10+X% and the 4s will be 40+X% SoR3 = 18.66% ratio SoR5 = 10% ratio numbers change for 2 Hander its like 20% R3 and 12% for the other ranks. Try a faster wep.@@mdf2341
its a more tolearable specc to play for sure, i got 2,7k mana unbuffed with everything eagle, knightly sword and gnomer shield, the only problem is you are a VERY easy target for pvp, you got 0 burst. 1 sheep from a mage and he takes me to 50% hp in a single spell, right now i play on firemaw EU and everyone and their grandmother seem to play classic again so im getting killed left to right to the point its not even fun to play the game, doing dungeons is also not that easy as they can take almost a hour to form. its better than 2h andy specc but at the cost of you logging out 4-5 times per day
The issue is that we are getting ganked while leveling but fully geared 60's. On fresh servers you are a GOD. But yeah... I am there on my Dwarf Paladin... I... when I was leveling him in STV I had to log-out my main nearby just to let people know what the score is. Welcome to Classic PvP server... the ORIGINAL HC Classic Servers LOL. My advice is to avoid STV like the plague. Arathi Highlands killing mobs into Hinterlands or Tanasis... or dungeons If you try for the PvP death zones they are just that... death zones. Is what it is.

These videos have really helped my Pally play, thank you so much for the information!
I love these short & to the point videos. thank you

Great video and helpful for a newbie like myself.
Cool Video, thanks for your effort! Is there a Skill-Build anywhere? With this i mean a guide to which level I set which skill point? 😀

Can you go over best shield options from dungeons, quests and Auction House from 1-60 level progression?
Hey sorry if you covered this already but what enchant is best to have on your knightly long sword when aoe leveling?
Doesn't matter, your poor, life steal is usually best, spell power if you aren't
What enchant would be best for the knightly longsword since we use it for such a long time?
I was planning on getting Fiery on mine (currently lvl 30 on hc server)
Yeah I was thinking about using firey weapon as well, seems like a great choice@@fullmetalpwn

Any suggestions on weapon enchants while leveling?
When is it convenient to cast Seal of Light instead?
When you are trying NOT to die or doing level 30-40 AoE Pulls. Not advised on HC.

Nice Vids. Whats your opinion on leveling in Zul Farrak solo from 42-50+? Do you think its worth learning? (non HC ofc)
Cheers

When you get used to switching it is worth it I think. But should'nt pull as many in HC, so I'm not sure.

I have two questions:
1. When do you use seal of light?
2. Should I allways go retaura or is devaura better in some situations?

today i learned i am weird for playing 1-button paladin:
#showtooltip judgement
/cast judgement
/cast seal of righteousness(rank 3)
/startattack
