I’m always amazed at how many of these celebrities my friends and I have NEVER heard of.
Its better than a number of other "celebrity" shows where they get F list celebrities. I may not know everyone, but based on a lot of the contestant's accomplishments I understand how they're famous to some people.
Maybe it's just where you're from. If not you're not American then you're way less likely to know them. Cuz I'm British and I know about 75% of them on the British version, but on the American I barely knew any cuz I just ain't American so

Well I know who he is and in the 90’s everyone knew as well. His from a boyband called backstreet boys. Was very successful in 90’s early 2000. Same success as one direction for example. Maybe you’re young I guess.
