Went there in 1995, also 1996, rode to Brighton from the Ace in 1995, about 3000 of us on the road. In 96 we planned to ride straight there ( Brighton ) from Nottingham, but we met the run coming round this island so joined them there, a great day out.
Glad you enjoyed your time here , shame you couldn't stay longer and see some of the other iconic rocker haunts like the 59 club , Johnson's café , the busy bee , the celler (Windsor) and Box hill . Perhaps you will have a chance to see them on your next visit . Great video and the best of British with the opening of the Ace .
Wow, this makes me feel old!!! I was at the first Ace reunion in 1994, riding my '75 Ducati 750 Sport. It was a massive event back then, there was a closed road ride right through the middle of London, with thousands of bikes, imagine that happening now with that dick of Mayor!!! We also stopped off at Battersea power station, well the shell of it, which was surreal. Just doesn't seem like 30 years ago, and I still have the Ducati.
