I wouldn't read anything by SJR without having my Bible to check EVERYTHING she says against scripture. Saw a video of her recently and she said some things that were very problematic. That being said my fave Bible based books are Flourish by Dorcas Showalter, any book by Voddie Bauchum, The Transformed Wife by Lori Alexander and From the White House to Amish by Katrina Hoover Lee and Kidnapped by the same author.
Such a good question! this was me all the time and what really helped was to set times aside for reading. I try to read 3 times a day (morning, afternoon & night) for 20-30 minutes I also bring my books everywhere with me. When I am in the car, I read. When I am waiting somewhere I pull out my book and read instead of checking my phone. It takes time to build the habit but if you put your mind to it and love the books you are reading it will be an easy transition! xo
The love dare book, I have. I don't agree with female pastors or the ones from a mega church. Joyce Meyer said that it was okay to get a tattoo, but there is a verse in the bible about it, that says the opposite.
I read The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry in the fall and really enjoyed it!
