This is awesome! With Turkey being one of the places still open it gives me inspiration to check it out!
loving all the turkey vlogs ,my favorite place in the world .
would have never known how beautiful turkey is without your vids. Appreciate all the effort you put into your channel. The Turkey series is my favorite series, the caves were amazing to see!
Really enjoyed this Turkey series! Thanks for keeping everyone entertained!
Rumi is a great poet and dedicated most of his work to Shams of Tabriz 🎠🦋🍁
Thanks for showing us! I went there a month ago! It's a beautiful city!
This was a great series! Gabriel, thanks for sharing. Love the unhurried style and conversational tone. This is probably how many of us travel. Waiting for the next location. Travel safe.
Gabriel, Thank you for sharing Turkey series. Great job. I'm Turkish and was born in Konya. I watched whole serie. Good luck with next projects.
the place looks clean and nice
A nice quick impression of Konya. The city has a lot to offer.
Curious about the next destination. I'd probably fly to Uruguay from London.
Really enjoyed your Turkey series of videos, it's up there with the most (surprisingly) interesting countries I've come to learn about via your work. Awesome historic sites, landscapes and contrasts between ancient and modern.
it's the country which connects the east and the west, and it lives up to it's reputations. Most people just visit Istanbul and that's it, but I think cities outside Istanbul are just as interesting, especially the friendly people. Visiting Turkey is like visiting an open air museum every where. Same as Greece, ancient statues every where, even in the garden of the Istanbul Archeological museum since it doesn't have enough space indoor.
Hi Gabriel your visit to Turkey videos are great 👍 big thank you 🙏🏻 for sharing 🙋♀️🇮🇪
Thank you so much for going to Konya. It was like a walk down memory lane for me. For any foreigner thinking of working in Turkey, make sure the company gets you a WORK VISA. Because, some unscrupulous companies will try to get you to work on a RESIDENT VISA. Turkey is an amazing country, but there are some people who will take advantage of foreigners. Glad you enjoyed your time there.
Thanks for your incredible Turkey series. Background sufiana rhythm is mesmerizing. Videography, editing is very much perfect. Above all your ability to provide so much informations in simple way is truly helpful.
Just an awesome videos series on Turkey Gabriel. Thank you so much for taking us along in your journey. To be able to travel with no real plans made at this time in the world is truly a challenge. I wish you safe and healthy travels and look forward to where you land next. 👍🏻😎🇨🇦
I didn't know I wanted this tour until now. It's super cool :D
Good job Gabriel ! Really enjoying your Turkey adventure. Good luck n stay safe dude .
Hope you didnt miss a quick but inspirational stop at Catalhöyük, which I recommended a few weeks ago. This site is not as crowded as Konya city, but it means a lot for human civilization.
Really enjoyed the video , konya is very beautiful , peaceful and historical city
A big thank you for this wonderful trip!! I thoroughly enjoyed your choices, text, music and what counted even more was the feeling of being there myself! 🤗
I was just in Turkiye in June. I may have left Turkiye but it has not left me. I can't wait to go back. I was in Konya for just a short while but would have loved to stay here a few days. I was so intrigued by this beautiful city with its magnificent people and architecture. The residential buildings are so pretty and I felt so safe here. Thank you for sharing your video with us.
Loved the Turkey videos Gabriel, lots of cool places and unexpected finds along the way! Got to say I'm still reeling from those awesome hills in Afyonkarahisar - shame you didn't make it to the top but still a fascinating place! I'd never heard of it before. Stay safe and come back to Europe soon!
Looks so cool there!! I love the architecture! Love your videos, been watching for a while now.
love your videos. just plain footage without unnecessary scenes.
Keep travelling Gabriel we love you documentaries and what's your plans are travelling for Christmas period from Justin
Thank you Gabriel! 😊❤🙏
Really enjoy your travels and style of vlogging. Feels real! Would love a Q&A from you. Travelling can be a massive problem solving exercise I recon and it would be really cool to know some of the top difficulties/troubles you faced and how you went about them. Looking forward to more travels! All the best and be safe!
This Turkey series has been beautiful for sure! Safe Travels Gabe.
Nice relaxing video to chill out to an a dark damp November UK evening thank you.
Hello ✌️Gabriel show wonderful places from all over Turkey, very interesting! You're great💚🤟Keep yourself.
I was just there! Crumbled buildings are so sad. It was a quick walk around and a take out, they just restricted all dining in. I wish I could see more of this unique place, so thanks for your video!
Love from Bangladesh ❤️❤️
Such a beautiful place ugh how i wish i can visit this country😂😂
Your video are always informative ! thanks for creating !
Thanks for filming - editing - dialogue etc Gabriel, much appreciated, thanks to the Turks too for there interesting architecture past & modern.
Best, Mark in England, LOCKDOWN
You deserve the golden like👍👍👍
What a treat, your videos are great!
Thanks for "taking" me to Konya, I didn't have time last summer for this religious city. It reminds me a lot of Izmir, especially the tramps lines, the markets. I agreed, Cappadocia & Ephesus are so fascinating. Did you made it to the turtle hospital in Dalyan? Did you like the new Istanbul airport? has they run the metro from the airport to the city center yet? It was open in April 2019, so no metro lines connecting to the city when I was there in June last year, and the taxi cost a lot. I remember the visa was issued for 30 days, did you extend your visa or your stay was only 30 days? I hope you will take us to a sunny place next (is the Caribbean open?), to forget about our 2nd lock down the rest of this year.
With 3 promising vaccine coming soon, I can't wait to visit Jordan next year.
Thanks for showing us Turkey, Gabriel. I have a deep interest in the near East. Do you think you will ever travel to Syria, when/if it is safe to do so?
We are planning to go Konya I was there last year my husband will see 5 years later and I am sure he will find so different
Looking forward to your Istanbul visit.
Nice pun at 15:48 "pretty sweet" / "pretty suite"
Hey Brother man, swanky digs ..I am still at the tent traveler level ha! All joking aside... I realized I was at the Kusadasi Castle out in the ocean area 20 min before that Izmir quake, then I walked to the bus stop inland when it hit. It damaged over 100 buildings in the town of Kusadasi. I rode a Izban train into Izmir the next day and made a video of them trying to rescue people in a flattened building, they were able to save quite a few. I am glad you made it through Konya cause I won't have time for that place, now I know some of the places there. Thanks!
Honestly you have very interesting channel I love the video on this vlog 👌 very informative 👏 Greetings from the USA 🤍🕊
Honestly you do a great job on your videos. Your experience traveling really is awesome 👌 👏 Thank you for taking me as im the one traveling. Keep up your beautiful channel 🤍👌
What is a Whirling Desrvish? I never heard that before. Fun video
Gabriel Traveler .. when are you travelling to Hungary ? You would just love it there, and the food is outta this world!!
Konya is an old city, once known as Iconium, the capital of Selcuks of Rum, and later of Karamanids.
very good i love turkey!
This series has ben educational and interesting . So many scamming attempts, even the ATMs ! You really must be educated to travel ! Thank you for sharing with us !
Same hotel i stayed back in August. It was then 20 euros a night. My room was upgraded.
Enjoying this. Keep em coming 👊
Rumi's hometown 🙏😊
Thank You Gabriel
Konya is an amazing place but not exactly for the common tourist. It is a very religious city and a visit to the Mosque, now a musem, of Rumi is a must. It is also a good place to buy a carpet. Caravan is an excellent place with fair prices
The mosque is so beautiful!
The area is great too! Hotel room great deal!👍
Konyada camiside bizim cami gibidir neguzel cami sende allahin nuru var sen meleklerin meleklerisin sen bi meleksin konyada dameleksin ve heryerdesin senin degerin farklidir mevlana gibisin dusin sen af edensin seveni sev seni seveni sev dir dende cok beklentim var sabrimi dana soyledim sende beni anlarsin amin iiiiii
It looks really cold there.
Love the videos would like to see you talk to local characters more about the place they live
Greetings from Montréal Canada, there’s so much history in Turkey that without Gabriel’s series we wouldn’t know. Very wide sidewalks I see and very modern with electric 🚈 on other awesome video..the entro. Arab music made me think of the 1978 movie ‘’Midnight Express’’ from a true American story ..must watch
That's ironic. Nobody listens to Arabic music in Turkey. No Turkish artist performs this kind of Arabic music.
@@sinasikicioglu being born Greek myself my late father who was born in Serres near Macedonia Greece played the guitar and spoke Turkish enough to communicate with the Arabic clients in a Caffe in Chania Crete and they had Turkish music and Arabic dancing even today. Musiciens sing together Arabic songs plus back in the 60s and 70s Greece had Arabic musical artists.. I was 10 when my family immigrated to Canada and I stil remember
@@georgechilidis8446 Syrian and Iraq Arabs can speak Turkish. May be your late father use Turkish for this. But I growed at Konya. I received my licence education in Antalya. I live in the Black Sea region now. Nobody listening this Arab musics. My father and my grand father, and Grand Grand father and our family chain.. This perception management is the work of orientalists. Greetings from Samsun city to Mr. Chilidis.
@@sinasikicioglu I learned history from my father and grandfather in Chania, Crete that was build by Arabs-Turks and Egyptians so our traditional food in Crete has much from Arab +Turkish roots. My grandfather told me that the Greeks didn't know how to cook. So when Turkey invaded Greece for 400 years this is how Greeks learn to cook. I'm living in Canada for over 56 years ..

made just at the before the Ottoman -Turkish invaded Greece and how this groundfather explained to his grandson the way to cook, was the way my grandfather telling me stories from that era ..best movie you will see ..
I didn't see Rumi's mosque which known by green tiled minaret.
as a turk im suprised how beautiful and clean the konya is never really thought about visiting but i want now. thanks to you im visiting my country with you mate ) about the atm thing i saw it now yes as a turk i also better be careful about the banks they just wana rip you off no need to pay extra right
You missed the Mountain of Fire in Olympus National Park near Antalya
Great Video, very nice job
Lovely video
Appreciated 👍
Are you professional camera man, or you learned how to record videos by your self, I really surprised the quality of your videos 📹.
This is an interesting city!
Yes it surely is. I was there a few years ago. And it was inspirational not only because of Mevlana Rumi, but also because of Catalhöyük
I enjoyed this video
Great. Thank you
Love Turkey from INDIA 🇮🇳
Hello from Konya ✌🏻
Great video, nice city.
"zindgi be bandgi sharmindgi" life without obedience is shame. Wirte by rumi in paersian
I always like u Gabriel bcz your videos are ful of adventure n information
Oh welcome 💓🇹🇷🇹🇷
Very good good informative video about Konya
What was the name of the hotel you stayed in Konya Thanks
You should visit Fernando de Noronha, is a amazing destination!
Hmm what might the next country be? I bet its somewhere from South America ???
Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Rūmī (Persian: جلالالدین محمد رومی), also known as Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Balkhī (جلالالدین محمد بلخى), Mevlânâ/Mawlānā (مولانا, "our master"), Mevlevî/Mawlawī (مولوی, "my master"), and more popularly simply as Rumi (30 September 1207 - 17 December 1273), was a 13th-century Persian poet, Hanafi faqih, Islamic scholar, Maturidi theologian, and Sufi mystic originally from Greater Khorasan in Greater Iran. Rumi's influence transcends national borders and ethnic divisions: Iranians, Tajiks, Turks, Greeks, Pashtuns.
You should see Mevlana before turn over all the concrete they cut lots of trees flowers. When I was a child I remember my village bus going from Mevlana there were cosy garden lots of beautiful birds and native now! You see nothing there between Mosque to shops. They cut all history with these trees 🌲
hello thank you for that interesting vidéo, could you tell me which hotel that was, I think to go there soon. Thank you and have a good day.
Thankyou for u information
ಅದ್ಭುತವಾದ ಸುಂದರವಾದ ವಿಡಿಯೋ ❤️😍 amazing and beautiful video ❤️👍🌹👌🙏
Amazing video 📷
Gabriel, is it possible to share where you stayed in London? I ask because London is a great jumpstation to the Continent, with so many direct flights from the U.S. east coast. Keep traveling, brother.
These types of vids NEVER get tired man! Some of us really love to know about those seemingly small details you share, like the experiences with trying to get cash at an ATM. I can remember a few times somehow half-anticipating that my bank back home might block the withdrawal for whatever reason, and then it kinda feels like you've hit a mini-jackpot on a slots-machine when you can hear the cash approaching😁.
Yeah I hear you on that, it does seem like a minor miracle when you get a wad of cash from a machine on the other side of the world.
you the man !
Gabriel you should experience Kyrgzystan. You will feel like you are at the ends of earth and will feel like you teleported back to 1980s.
Rumi is my favorite Poet
English translations don't even come close. Rumi should be read in Persian. Most people in Iran know his poetry by memory. Same with Hafez
We enjoyed Konya & Goreme in 1985
Hi from konya 🖐️
I was wondering, which are your top 10 favorite cities in the world (based on price performance)
So you got a sweet suite.
Did you ever consider getting a revolut card Gabriel, it doesn't change any conversions, it is the exam same as the conversion given on xe.com
Hi Gabriel , I bought my tickets to 🇹🇷!! Just Wondering how did you get phone connection for your gps ??? Was it a SIM card or a hot spot?? Please let me know and thank you so much ☺️ take care!
Very cool, what time of year are you going? I have T-mobile and it works internationally, I don't have to do anything.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos I will be there on December 22 to January 15 and I think I have the wrong company “boost mobile“ I think I should buy a SIM card because I will get a rental car any suggestions let know and thanks Gabriel for your inspiration!!
Hello, you forgot to mention the price of the hotel night, as well as the price of lunches and types of food? This is very essential for travelers. ? Thank
Ever thought about going to Afghanistan and to more Middle Eastern countries would be very interesting what about going to Algeria? Keep traveling !👍
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ KONYA
Hi Gabriel, excellent video. Question - is US driver's license enough to rent in turkey and serbia? or do we need a international permit ( the one you can get at AAA in US). any guidence on what all is need for renting in these countries would be great.. keep producing these awesome video travel blog.. they are very inspirational ..
I wasn't asked for my international driving permit when I rented the car. But it's a good idea to get one anyway. In case you do get pulled over it might help with the police. They're only $20 at a AAA office and it takes just a few minutes to get.
A nice video for a quick impression. However, a lot of significant places and important information have been missed. Konya was the capital city of Anatolian Seljuk State, which is the first Turkish empire in Anatolia. In order to observe Seljuk architecture visiting Karatay & İnce Minare Museums is essential. Ottoman Archtitecture can be observed in Konya, too. Aziziye Mosque and Historical Bedesten ( Bazaar) are the most prominent ones. Also, Konya Archeological Museum, as the foundation date, is the second archeological museum in Turkey. It is home to numerous ancient artifacts. Catalhoyuk, which is thought be as the oldest settled life area in history, is located in Cumra district of Konya, it is about 90 km to city center. (Excavations are still being carried out) Not even mentioned about Rumi. He is just a huge reason to visit Konya. Don't miss the Semah ceremonies. Lastly, I recommend you to visit Ataturk Museum in the city center. Hope this helps in your trip to Konya.
Great, thanks for the info.
Thanks for your time and giving so nice review for the city. Are you from Konya? What about the universities for foreign students delivering lectures in English?
@@nathaliebnn8862 Yes, I am. Actually not sure about the universities delivering lectures in English. There are 2 private and 3 state universities in Konya. State: Selcuk, Necmettin Erbakan, Konya Teknik. Private: KTO Karatay, Konya Food and Agriculture(Gıda ve Tarım). State universities' programmes are turkish in general. So are privates. There might be exceptions for some faculties. It'd be helpful to check their websites or send an email.
@@furkananlar6794 thank you so much for the info!
