I absolutely LOVE this song! I'm not sure if Beth Malcolm reads these comments but I hope she does. :) I was born and bred in Belfast and after growing up during the Troubles, one of my life ambitions is to try to form some type of Northern Irish/Scottish band that celebrates and appreciates both the Irish and Scottish cultures and the people who live here. Her voice and this type of song are absolutely perfect for what I have in mind. Even to this day, there is still quite a lot of segregation and division between our people but I have always believed there is nothing like beautiful music to bring beautiful people together and to bring about peace.
Utter brilliance in every way...Everything fits, drums push and pull, synth sounds, From beginning to climatic end, epic vocal sound, epic vocal performance ....What a final mix and of course fantastic video. Only 56k views ...WTF.
Id love nothing more than Niteworks to pop over to washington state and see if they could get themselves a gig up at Fort Warden or in the same town the jefferson county Fairgrounds.Theres an up and coming appreciation of this Genere in the west coast here and talented musicians are aplenty but you guys have your very own fingerprint.
Chooooooooon. What a voice Beth. Can't wait to hear this live in Inverness at the end of the year. Maybes elgin... Come on belladrum get the niteworks signed they are back with a bang.
OK. New album downloaded. 😎🎶🎵 Puts in request for the first Nightworks album to be available on Vinyl, along with this one. Want they two to complete the trio. 😁🎶🎵
@@williamraymond6546 Niteworks are Scottish but the song John Riley has been about for more than 200 years . There are English folk versions and Irish folk versions and American. It's supposedly based on Homer's Odyssey , and was recorded by Joan Baez in the 1960's. This Niteworks and Beth Malcolm version however is utterly terrific.
i heard this song on the radio and it was a pleasant surprise! this and "guns of Ajaccio" were the first and only electronic celtic pieces i've heard so far
Filmed near North Berwick on a pretty chilly January afternoon last year! Can't remember the name of the beach, but there's a lovely coffee shop perched on the hill above.
So much to like about this song and the amazing voice of its singer. The main part of the music though: come on, techno unchanging beat, two-finger keyboard background at least changes a bit. Strip that stuff out and there's a powerful song here.
