Hey, I'm always happy when I see your comments! With video editing, I'm self-taught, so a bit inefficient, and I have some areas to improve, but it's something I enjoy. I tried my best to push my video editing skills to the limit on this one, so I'm glad you enjoyed it. Have a good weekend!

@@justinsdaysoff I 💚 U, plus you make fun videos, it’s a joy because ur videos make me happy, as a car enthusiast, 56 yo retired handyman, and D.I.Y. guy….video gaming is my meditation, sanctuary, and escapism. Also i’m glad to see all your wife’s house plants 🪴 🌱 are growing well in the living room.

I've had a 2016 RS since new. I'm a video game lover as well and I have to say this video was amazing. The real life to simulation transitions were incredible. You definitely did a great job filming and editing this. I agree with pretty much everything you mentioned above about the game and the car. The game has been exhausting for me thus far trying to make my way through the forced feeling career. The small blurp about the gauges was funny. You think with all this added detail they could at least make the boost gauge needle move. I will say I'm a bit jealous you have an 18' L.E. I have yet to drive one to see if I can notice any difference in handling with the added front LSD. I'll have to reach out to a friend who has a red 2018. Keep up the great work on these videos!

Thank you very much for the kind words and for checking out my video; this was one of my more time-consuming video projects, so it does mean something to me. I'm looking forward to trying iRacing, VR, etc., and making more videos on those in the future.
If you're a bit jealous of my '18, then I'm a bit jealous you got your RS new. I bought mine with 27,000 miles (about 43,000 kilometers) on it. And with a car like this, you never know how much the previous owner was throwing it around. It has some minor cosmetic damages here and there, but I didn't buy it to keep it like new. I was thrilled to find it. At least in the U.S., the 2018 red editions were pretty limited, plus this one had the sunroof, too. So I jumped on it, and it has been a great car. I'm sure the LSD adds some handling, but from what I've read, all models of the RS handle amazingly with or without that addition.
As far as GT7 goes, I don't play much anymore. It's a great game, but as soon as I got my PC and ACC, I found that game style more enjoyable, especially since I do not have a PS5, so I have to deal with long load times in GT7.
Anywaysm, thanks again for taking the time to comment with some kind words. I hope you have a great day and enjoy your RS.

I like the music you used in this vid, nice work with the editing btw!
The way you talk about the Focus RS reminds me of an old '94 Escort GT I used to drive. The Focus is kind of a spiritual successor, as I understand it, so it's good to hear that engaging fun driving experience lives on! Do you feel the physics model in GT7 accurately represents the Focus RS driving experience/feel from your own driving time with the car?
It was super cool how you lined up shot for shot with the game, I don't think I've seen anyone else do something like that, really cool! Keep up the awesome work!

Hey! It's nice to hear from you again. I appreciate your positive feedback on the editing and such. Honestly, this was the hardest I have worked on a UA-cam video haha.
So, when I drive the car in real life, I will mainly notice the rush in power and torque from the turbo, the high performance of the brakes, and the 4WD system making cornering very intuitive and manageable; I think that GT7 presents these aspects of the car well. Cornering felt very controlled. The in-game car slowed down well, and the power band was the same. All in all, GT7 did an excellent job.
Finally, thank you again for that positive feedback on the shot-for-shot part. That idea prompted me to make this video, and I'm pleased with how it turned out. I was happy to find the windmill spot too. I just wish UA-cam would show it to more people like it has my other videos lol. I'm biased, but I like this one the most. I'm definitely not complaining though - I'd be happy just if you or one other person saw it :). Now I have to come up with an idea for another video. Thanks for watching and have a good day!

@@justinsdaysoff Well, don't let it get you down, I definitely understand how you feel. I've had a few videos that I really enjoyed making and put myself into that didn't do well. Not sure what to sacrifice to please the algorithm gods, lol.
I think you're on to something with this vid though! That's not to say that I think your other vids are worse, I think they're great! But the format for this one almost felt like a Car review. It had a different kind of engagement that I think works.

This was awesome! Just got GT7 and a sim setup on Black Friday. Playing with my real-life car (Civic Type R FK8) was surreal and it behaved how i expected. Only downside is that the in-game version is RHD 😢

Tip:put the screen in front of the wheel base or somewhere on top so that the wheel is perfectly aline with the cars interior and also don't buy an ultra wide rathe by 32 to 55 or even 65 inch triple moniters

Justin PD and Sony are struggling the game is a mess. I've been playing the game for 25 years and I'm pissed off.🤨

Thanks for being one of the first people to check out the video :). I appreciate your perspective and would be interested in your thoughts. To clarify my perspective, I will say that my viewpoint mainly concerns graphics, car modeling, driving physics, car customization, and other areas I discussed. These are the foundations of a game that, at its core, appears to me to be a great production by Poly Digital. As a means of learning about and exploring various cars behind the wheel of a sim rig, the game exceeded my expectations. But, my playtime and playstyle (making this video) have also differed from most players. What specific issues are you having with the game? I am disappointed in their credit and microtransaction system, which I tried to touch on, and its grind has kept me from exploring the game's career to the fullest. Nonetheless, I've been pretty happy.

Hate to tell you bro GT7 isn’t a simulation it’s a SimCade at best actually with the way there running the game now 1x fuel and tire race C’s they’ve turned it into an arcade game I thought you were gonna compare a real sim like ACC, AMS2, RFACTOR2, IRacing etc.. those are simulations GT7 just isn’t and will never be a sim sorry

    • @justinsdaysoff

I understand that the driving physics in Gran Turismo are not at the level of a "real sim" but I started with Gran Turismo so I do still play it and enjoy it from time to time. I did get a PC and now mainly play ACC on that, however, which I have shown in my other videos. Thanks for checking out the video.
