Thanks so much for the video....we were there in 2014 and had a great time, hope to go back someday soon...
We go there at least once a month. We live in Kingman, AZ and go to Bullhead City to shop and then finish up in Laughlin for dinner and to play a bit. SO much better than Vegas for we retired folk
have you been to the crash site from May 18, 1953 in Kingman? We tried to make it there back in the 1980s but never could locate it.
@@eckankar7756 Never heard of it. I will check it out!
thanks for the pictures of our truck and motorhome at riverside....
Thank you, charming video!
Looks nice i would go here Vegas has lots of people this looks relaxing
Wow, it's grown since I'been there. I think last time I was in Laughlin was about 1985. I don't live that far away but just never returned.
Super well done video...……...
30 miles from Laughlin going south on 95 from BHC, AZ is Oatman, AZ which will take you back 100 years and its a old time town with post office that hand cancels all the mail with there trade mark and its a fun place. As for BHC and Laughlin we love are 5 & 10 night stays. Stay at most of them but now Pioneer Club for we take are dogs. Love Laughlin as a second home.
I lived in BHC for a few years back in the early 2000's. Oatman was one of those places I always took friends and family when they came out to visit.
Laughin is a best kept secret. It is affordable and more seniors oriented
Laughllin River Lodge’s 5 bars serve food 24 hours a day. ( Bingo and buffet are closed at the moment.
The Colorado Belle is closed now.
Aquarius was "flamingo Hilton" and the "Tropicana was Ramada express"...but nice video
Randy Jude true it was.
We go to Laughlin a few times a year. Most recent visit was late Feb, 2020...saw KISS at the LEC (Laughlin Events Center). Have stayed at the Flamingo Lughlin / Aquarius a few time. I don't like the angled views of the river in the rooms there.
Yep your right buddy that was back in the 90s. The Gold River was once River Palms and originally Sam's Town in the 70s and 80s. Golden Nugget was originally the Nevada Club. I use to make Alot of money on that strip
The Ramada Express. The Regency has the best shrimp coctails😜👌

I wonder why Vegas wasn't built right on the water like other major cities around the world.
I thought the Aquarius was previously the Flamingo....
I stayed there when it was the Flamingo Hilton Laughlin. in the early 90's Not sure when or if ever it was a Tropicana property.
it was the flamingo
It was.....he is misinformed. I worked there....it was originally The Flamingo, then ACEP bought it made it the Aquarius, the Golden Gaming bought it & then they bought the Edgewater & Colorado Belle.
It was this guy is a dumb ass
Wow it's the River Lodge now? It's had five different names in the last thirty years😆.wtf
If I'm going that far on a trip, I'm going to Las Vegas. I've been through Laughlin. It looks like a real note. However if they had good enticements to get you into their casinos, like Vegas used to years ago. They used to comp your meals or have 1.99 prime rib to get you into the casinos. If you lost at the tables, you'd get free show tickets. They acted like they wanted you to come back. You had a great time whether you won or lost.
This video is very informative Herb. But i did notice one error. You were giving the history of the Aquarius and I noticed you said that is was called the Tropicana until it was sold. It was also owned by Hilton and was named The Flamingo. They and Harrah's used to have a bus hat brought people from Phoenix and Scottsdale, AZ to the Hotel. They ceased to have that amenity when diesel fuel and gasoline were so high that the company providing the serve discontinued it. The casinos lost my cash when that happened.
I remember the shuttles to the hotel. It was a big thing, very well advertised. I never did do one but knew friends that loved to take them up there. I think you had to have so much cash with you and had to stay in the hotel for so many hours for the deal.
One minor correction... The Colorado Belle is not primarily a gaming location. She boasts nearly 1200 rooms, as the two hotel buildings to the north, are attached to the hotel/casino building themed as a river ship. I'm sad that they have no plans to re-open her. I've never been to Laughlin, but I planned to stay there next year.
Derek Allyn hopefully they will bring her back better than ever. But knowing what I know that will likely not happen. When Golden Ent. purchased it......I believe their goal was to reduce the amount of available rooms and gambling options in Laughlin. The current 11,000 hotel rooms can no longer be supported by the number of tourists that come to Laughlin. The vacancy rates are just too low. Don’t be surprised if the Pioneer is pushed out next.
Commercial land across the river is so cheap! $26,000 buys a 50x100 square foot commercial lot with a view of the casinos on the Arizona side in Old Bullhead City, AZ. Unbelievable. And jet ski businesses are looking for room to expand.
The Aquarius used to be the Flamingo.
Nice jab for Jessica! If she’s as nice as you sound I’d love to meet her when I go?
Colorado Bell is closed now I heard from a local that it's sinking.
Herb is the man!
Aquarius was the Flamingo before
It looks like Vegas use to be. Not the mess Vegas is now.
I used to walk down the Strip in Vegas back in the 1970s. I was clean, safe and small. There were a couple coffee shops that the celebrities doing shows would frequent later at night. I've been to Vegas once in the past 20 years, it's a mess now.
The Aquarius was originally the Flamingo, not the Tropicana.
Unfortunately the Pioneer removed all of its table games recently. 😥 really liked playing cards there
Say what?!😮
Yeah i noticed that when i was there while back last yr i used 2 love black jack
No license for table games.
Sadly, the tables were too rigged with 7 spots for players...that makes it more difficult to win. The fewer the spots/players, the more you win. And they didn't open tables till noon....that hurt them.
They also used to have free make-your-own-tacos at the riverside bar certain days of the week, and some other nice discounts.
we stay at the Golden Nugget
Aquarius was flamingo not Tropicana... I stay n flamingo n 90s they had a bus
Did bull head city ever build the airport? I was their in the early 2000s and they talked about an airport
I love the Sal
The aquarius was the flamingo hilton not the tropicana
You forgot the weed store we’re you can buy pot
They got fire shit there I Recommend Dons Choice or the Laughlin OG can't go wrong!
River lodge was the River palms not the Royal palms..and before that it was the Gold river n even earlier Sam's town
I remember when it was Sam's town
I call it adult disneyland
gymer15 I call it Colorado's tolie because Everytime they take a dump it ends up here!
Lol
Laughlin is the best destination and by the way Aquarius was the Flamingo casino not Ramada please give us the right info
To my understanding, he said the Tropicana was the Ramada... he said the aquarius was the flamingo...
