Because when the flop comes out, the AK has can draw up to six cards that individually can beat QQ. Whereas the QQ can really only improve by drawing the only 2 Qs left in the deck, or flop a pair (which could still benefit the AK holder if one of his six outs comes up). Also, the AK has the greater possibility of forming an A-high straight.

The way you play this game guys is extremely boring. In some places in the world the rules are different. They use only three cards from the five common cards on the table. Which means at least one card from your hand must included on your best five. To give an example, If all four aces come down on the table nobody has a four of a kind. Everybody has minimum three aces and they compete with the highest cards from their hand, which in this case will be pocket kings. Try it, and the game becomes a real dynamic game. You will very rarely see somebody folding.

@@sungsuplee9079 Omaha yes. We play it with 2 and 3 and 4 cards hand in Europe. Often with a deck of 32 cards as 6s and below are removed when the game is up to 4 people. That's what we call poker. Texas hold them is like roulette ,no skills required.
