Welcome to the final part of my Halloween KPOP reaction series! I wanted to react to some more Halloween theme videos, be it MVs or dance practive or choreography specials! So here we have a great mix of really cool videos that are on theme as per your requests!

The plot of the Shinee video is that the 'bride' is basically taking her favourite parts of each member (head, eyes, nose, mouth & body) to create her ideal man. You can see the zoom at the very end of the video show her creation. Love your videos :)

Ateez on halloween is always something special, that Pirate King performance is terrifyingly mesmerising!
I think we need to thank SHINee (yet again) for starting the uploading of dance practices & for starting the thing of idols wearing fancy dress to their Hallowe’en parties. Got to love these guys for practically everything they do.
Ateez always slay, I love the fact that they arrived in the crowd as zombies and scared the hell out of people and their halloween makeup is always on point as well as their facial expressions.
For Enhypen, their theme is actually not werewolves but vampires hence the « red blood », « red eyes » and « white fangs » in the lyrics and the bats, old footages and Jungwon red eyes in the video.
BTS Go Go halloween dance practice is so funny, each time I see it just gives me a smile for the rest of the day 😄

Married to the Music! A pop-funk SHINee classic with a horror theme. Perfect for Halloween. There's a performance MV version of this song that shows off the rather cool choreo if you ever want to check that out too.
"Married to the Music" is one of my favorite songs from SHINee on one of my Top 5 favorite SHINee albums (it is the repackage for their 4th album title "Odd"). I love this MV so much because of the layers of meaning which transform what could simply be a love song into something more. Of course there are the lyrics of being devoted and married to the music and that music is an unnamed "You" which could be a specific someone, the fans/Shawols, or even a concept. However, we then get the MV describing marriage as a "Slow Death" at the beginning. Mixed messages, right? So is the message that music, the fans, or the industry slowly killing them? Is it a good death or a frightening one...maybe it's both?
28:14 You were pretty spot on with your interpretation. Featured in the MV is this faceless bride who is systematically taking away pieces of the SHINee men that she then can hoard for herself and use to create the perfect man with the things she perceives as being their best feature. At the end of the MV when the spotlight circle is going around she has assembled the members into a "Perfect Man" Frankenstein monster.
Is this monstrous bride the personification of music itself? Is she a representation of hungry and rabid fans who want to rip SHINee apart and commodify the members for themselves regardless of their true purpose as human beings? Does she represent people who don't appreciate them for their whole being but instead reduce them down to their parts for entertainment? All of these themes can be considered when watching this MV in conjunction with the song.
The capper for me is that they paired this fairly dark MV with the upbeat and funky song. The contrast of those two moods makes a really rewarding experience. Like you said, not horror in the repugnant sense, but rather in the farcical and camp sense.
Pagan, I'm so happy you watched Vixx again! And I'm so happy you pointed out that their choreo, styling, and song all correlated. Vixx are known as The Concept Kings in kpop because of this exact reason, they always 100% matched their clothing (their stylists made or customized most of their clothes specifically for each song/era), their choreo always told the story of their song/theme, the makeup, and yes the lyrics matches the MV/song too! I know they're an older group but they revolutionized a lot of things seen today in kpop, such as heavier makeup on boys and colored contacts! I really hope you can watch more of their stuff, even the non-Halloween/creepier themed ones 🥺🥰

OH MY GOODNESS YES YES YES!! I clicked so fast when I saw the notification, dude I sadly have only seen the Red Velvet video but that's okay! Really Bad Boy (RBB) is such a PHENOMENAL song at first when I heard it I thought it was good but not my favorite at all but it really grew on me it's so good also at 7:35 as a WenRene fan this scene made me so happy, also I just wanted to tell you that who's doing the really high note (the scream) that is Irene and actually that's the highest note recorded in K - Pop AND SHE IS THE MAIN RAPPER (they are considered Vocals Queens with Mamamoo)! And the other high notes are usually Wendy and Seulgi but sometimes Joy, Yeri, and Irene would sing some high notes as well but it's usually those two, you should really check out more Red Velvet (you should check out a guide to them they are Hilarious and they are all aces they all can sing, rap, dance, they are all visuals, just everything is amazing! The guides that I recommend are either the (Un)helpful guide to Red Velvet Early 2021 version they show everyone equally with good content and they are a little bit shorter, and if you want a longer guide that shows a lot of content and show them all equally I would recommend the A (hopefully) comprehensive guide to Red Velvet Queendom Era!) Anyways I can't wait for you to react to more Red Velvet such as more Music Videos, B - Sides, Live Performances, Covers, Dance Practices, Moments, and of course Ships! Just some clarifying information for newer Army. V isn’t sad about the dress. He has worn dresses and skirts before. His fashion on stage often includes clothes traditionally from female dept. ( Their fashion has no gender.) He also participated in drag shows pre debut at school. And worn heels on another variety show very comfortably. He wanted to dress as Harley Quinn another year but wasn’t able to. Also I’ve seen some comments that say he was sad because his grandma had just passed away. They got the timeline wrong. This practice is in Oct 2017. His grandma passed away in Sept 2016. It was actually the suicide of celebrity friend model Lee Ui Soo (6th of Oct. 2017) This dance practice was filmed shortly after. Poor Taehyung has gone through a lot of loss in a very short time. 2018 his grandfather passed. Much love for your lovely reaction.

Halloween became more popular as a holiday in Korea in very recent years! This is largely because of Korean celebrities putting out Halloween content & dressing up. THE most notable event is the SM Halloween party! The SM Halloween party was created thanks to SHINee, as they would dress up for Halloween at a time when very few did, and always garner lots of attention online. So, SHINee are inadvertently partly responsible for the popularisation of Halloween as a holiday in Korea! That's pretty wild to think about.
(I remember when Chanyeol(EXO) turned up to the SM Halloween party in a full Iron Man suit with functioning helmet, lights, and all. He had to have people there to help him move around😂)
