I respect A.P.'s singing, energy and story. As is the case with just about any Steve Perry tune, this song has crazy notes to reach. And in a live performance A.P. is not planting his feet underneath him for proper proper breath support technique. He's running all over the stage and towards the fans. Just watching him doing so is exhausting!! All the "He's no Steve Perry" comments are sickening. No kidding. Steve Perry is certainly a one-of-a-kind singer. You just know it's him when he's singing. A.P. does a great job. It takes a lot of guts to not care what Steve Perry's fans might think and just go for it, regardless of what critics may say. I admire his bravery and his talent in singing songs that were pioneered by one of the most iconic and daunting voices in not only rock, but popular music history.
