  • As I got great tips that you can edit your wand spells this run was just a experimental run, but still got pretty far... Still got destroyed in snowy depths...
    The Challenge/Goal:
    Basically the challenge is to get one of the endings of Noita. I don't know how long will it take, but I try my best.
    About The Game:
    Noita is a magical action roguelite set in a world where every pixel is physically simulated. In this game, you’ll fight, explore, melt, burn, freeze, and evaporate your way through a procedurally generated world using spells you’ve created yourself. The environment is richly interactive, with pixel-based physics allowing you to burn, explode, or melt anything. Swim in the blood of your foes, manipulate the world, and delve deeper into caverns as you uncover unknown mysteries. Noita is being developed by Nolla Games.

    Ive seen a few people start noita and try to mess around with the wands but give up after a little while, the best things to remember are:
    -Wands cast spells left to right, putting a modifier spell left of a projectile spell will apply the modifier to the spell (e.g: fire trail left of a sparkbolt)
    -If a wand has 'Shuffle - Yes' in its stats then it disregards the order you put the spells in the wand, randomly casting each spell in the wand until it has cast each of them
    -Wands can innately cast more than one spell, this is shown by the 'Casts - X' stat on the wand, you can also tell by how many ends the wand has visually
    -If you can find Chainbolt, it basically makes the first two floors free as it homes, can travel through materials and one shots everything but the fungal cavern enemies
    Also spark bolt with trigger is extremely powerful if used in a non-shuffling wand, put a super dangerous spell like explosion to the right of it for an exploding sparkbolt

    Nice one haha, remember a water flask is #1 priority, I recommend if its not water/brine/swamp just dump it out immediately to your left and fill it with water the first chance you get

      I kept thinking he was gonna pour the acid on himself to put out the fire

      Getting better at managing my flask. But still gives me a hard time....

    It's really fun to watch you encounter and learn more and more stuff ...but not picking up "Tinker Everywhere" at 11:28 made me tear up a litte^^' its one of the best perks to find in the game

    • @graour
      @graour 29 днів тому

      Agreed, I'd say tinker everywhere is the single most op perk in the game.

      it's good, but not that good for new players. Higher projectile resistance from slime blood was better choise there. Living on the edge is pretty good too

    • @Bl4start
      @Bl4start  29 днів тому +2

      Can you explain why the Tinker Everywhere is a good perk? In my noob opinion I cannot find enough new stuff to tinker with.

    • @aati
      @aati 29 днів тому +2

      @Bl4start when you get better and spend more time in levels, you'll find more wands. Because you can only carry four wands at once, some wands have to be left behind.
      With tinker you can snatch the spells you want from those wands and build better wands on the go. This is very helpful in places like fungal caverns.
      But as I said, not that good perk for new players because you don't yet know what are good spells or wands you wanna take with you.

      Thanks aati. That makes a lot of sense.

    I'd say picking up slime blood instead of tinker with wands everywhere was a certified Chad move ;)
    Also - if you forget to empty a dangerous flask at the beginning, the lava lake is another good place to dispose off dangerous liquids.
    Also also, if for any reason you still have acid potion on you, you can use it for digging downwards. You had a chance to get to a wand in Coal Pits that way.
    Anyway, a satisfying watch as always :)

      @Bl4start  28 днів тому

      Too chad to even comprehend. Oh yeah got to remember that acid potion trick. Actually could have been useful in many situations.

    Very nice to see you use the tablet to your advantage, you probably noticed how powerful it is by now !
    There is an advanced technique called "tablet kicking" where you kick a fraction of a second before you throw a tablet to make it go mach 2 towards an enemy and deal ~1k damage.
    I would like to point out that the tablet is not the only thing doing ridiculous amounts of damage in the early game. Any object will do the trick !
    btw, assassination is always better than open warfare in this game, so try to take cover and take out enemies one by one instead of jumping in the middle of them
    Keep it up !

    • @Bl4start
      @Bl4start  29 днів тому

      Oh yeah. I did not try to kick when I threw the tablet. Must try it when next time I remember it. Now I seem to find the tablet pretty regularly.

      @@Bl4start it's hard to get the timing of the kick right. Personally I use different keybinds that make tabletkicking way easier.

    Day 8 of watching ET - Daily run of Noita until he completes it, 3:23 - 21:00 (the lack of a new longest time isn't regression, its the development of knowledge)

    Next time you see chainsaw spell and some sort of multicast (wand itself, like you picked up in beginning or any multicast spell) pick it and try to make so you cast it together with other projectile spell. Play with order and see results. It's worth it. And don't forget to fill flask with water in holy mountains. Water is free here :0

    • @Bl4start
      @Bl4start  29 днів тому

      Thanks! Got to try this one!
      I'm little confused on why some spell are called in some order and others simultaneously? Is it because of that "Multicast"?

    • @aati
      @aati 29 днів тому

      @@Bl4start if wand is "Shuffle: yes" it will cast random spell from wand. "Shuffle: no" -wands cat spells from left to right.
      If the spells/cast is 3, it will cast 3 spells at once. There are also multicast spells that draws many spells at once. Experiment with wand in HM and you'll figure it out :D

      Aahh thanks! This clears some of! The wand & spell system is a lot deeper than I thought. Damn

    interesting try to be careful of what you but on your wands. You took over 100 dmg from self dmg, and you also poured acid on yourself.
    trick kills are cool but if you take damage while trying to do it, its not worth it as you could have just killed one other enemy to make back the gold

    I bound my attack wand to q and the first flask to r, so I could easily swap between them

    You've got to move slower. It's not uncommon for me to spend 30 minutes before moving on to the coal pits. It is very worthwhile fully exploring the mines and the collapsed mines. The collapsed mines are pretty sketchy for a beginner though, so I wouldn't blame you for avoiding.

    • @Bl4start
      @Bl4start  29 днів тому

      Yeah. Slowing down the pace. My current strategy is that I try to find the holy mountain portal first and then try to explore around it.

    • @billybob_364
      @billybob_364 29 днів тому

      @@Bl4start I usually start towards the right while hugging the top until I reach the open area with the lava lake. Then I clear the level from right to left, making sure to explore the entire level vertically while I’m at it. Right to left is particularly helpful in the mines due to one of the generated tiles of the map, but thats just a bonus. I usually take that approach with all the levels, but its harder on the others.
