As much as Leslie and Mr. Peyton hate each other, it's kind of a shock to see them plotting together for the demise of Betty and Steven's marriage. Of course, Mr. Peyton is just using Leslie, but Leslie, being the greedy SOB he is, is a willing victim.
I graduated high school in 1969. We wore dresses, skirts and blouses and sweaters every single day. We wore stockings or knee socks. I forget when panty hose got popular. I remember garter belts for crying out loud! Those were the days!
I don't know very many "small towns" that have multiple highrise buildings like the ones in the background in this episode-- oops, more bad editing : )
That goes right with the fact that the Daily Clarion is a huge newspaper for a small town. The front page alone would be too much for Elliot to get out each day.
Those buildings caught my eye before I even read this. They do look out of place when we go back to the main street. What are they and where do they fit in???? Perhaps they are Peyton Mills LOL
Love how well Martin keeps up walking with Leslie and at other times he can barely move and at times needs a wheelchair.
Mr. Peyton sure is WALKING rather briskly for such an old "sick" man... keeping good pace with Mr. Harrington!
Martin first appeared as a very old frail character. He’s actually getting younger.
Like Merlin! :)
I have to admit, I miss the snow!

I hate that all these vultures are only interested in Martin's eventual death and what they will or will not get from it.
Rod and Norman don't care about Peyton's money. Steven and Leslie sure do though.
@@suki44883 I think Betty has her eye on the prize.
The actors who play Martin & Leslie are so similar in speech & approach. And I have a feeling that they weren’t too far apart in age in real life.
Did women not wear slacks in the 60s? I don't recall ever seeing any of the women on here in them.

I've only seen ONE pair of pants so far. It was the night Connie and Elliott had the snow ball fight with Rita and Norman.
I started high school in 1969 and we wore dresses, skirts, pantsuits came into style about the following year( 1970 or 71).
I wore slacks only for casual occasions. Dresses and skirts were mandated for school.
@@janel.8921 No, we couldn´t wear slacks and in my school the skirts had to be no shorter than just above the knee.
