Here’s one: Dolph Ziggler, CM Punk & The Miz entered at no. 1 in 2010, 2011 & 2012 respectively, and then entered again at no. 1 in 2013, 2014 & 2015 respectively!
My favorite pointless rumble fact is the record for the most and the least amount of wrestlers in the ring by the time number 30, 2009 holds the records for most wrestlers with 15 people still in the ring, while the next year 2010 only has 4 wrestlers in the ring by the time batista comes out with the number 30. Pretty neat right?
Id really like it if one year, entrant #30 comes out after someone else has already cleaned house, and there's just one guy stood in the ring waiting for #30! And it's like, a rival or a tag team partner or something
2010 reminds me of the old SNES Royal Rumble matches where you could only have 4 people in the ring at one time and no one new could come in until someone else was eliminated. i think at most the 2010 Rumble had maybe 8 people in the ring at one point, but once Shawn Michaels entered at #18 and went on an elimination spree , it got down to 3 or 4 people and never exceeded that number for the rest of the match. Someone new would come in, someone else would be eliminated. In fact, Michaels and Cena were the "ironmen" of the match and even then it was only 24 minutes for HBK and 27 for Cena. Only 5 other people even made it past the 10 minute mark.
@@charlier.k4934 I want at some point for there to be a very brief moment where someone gets to the ring and either everyone has been eliminated (like if there were two people and both went over the rope) or the only people still in were fighting outside the ring because the went under the ropes. They just get in the ring, look around, and they just look all confused because there's no one to fight.
6:20 if you get signed by WWE, make your gimmick name: "The Fantastic 30," and you'll probably eventually win a Rumble... They'll keep sticking you in at 30 and you've got to get lucky at some point.
Here's a neat one: No one has won from #4 spot. Several have won from #1 (Michaels, Benoit, Edge, Ripley), from #2 (Vince, Mysterio) and #3 (Flair, Belair) but no one at #4. Steve Austin won from #5 in 1997. The latest number without a winner is #21. Also, in a bit of a lame fact, the winners from the last 3 years have all come from 1-3 or 28-30.
It's a rule that they've not always stuck to either. Vader dumped Shawn Michaels (and a bunch of others) in 1996 after being eliminated, and they all just got back in and carried on, with Shawn winning the whole thing.
Here's another fact: until 2003, there was no winner who had entered beyond 27. Brock Lesnar was the first to do so entering at 29 that year. The two who would eventually go one to win at 28 & 30 (Batista & Undertaker), entered at those respective numbers in 2003!
Rumble fact: it occurs during the week before the Super Bowl every year. That is the week the pro bowl is on Sunday and the week after the conference finals.
Another interesting one. From rumble matches between 2010-2015 only 3 different people entered at number 1. 2010&2013 Dolph 2011&2014 CM Punk 2012&2015 Miz
Shelton Benjamin’s eliminations by Shawn Michaels were 06, 07, and 08. I had to double check cause I vividly remember his elimination in 08 so I thought maybe he was eliminated in 4 in a row. But no in 05 he was eliminated by Edge and 09 he was eliminated by Undertaker.
Stat I like that never gets brought up is most consecutive time in the Royal Rumble without being eliminated. Specifically winning it and then entering 1 or 2 the following year. Benoit did that in 04 & 05 totaling 1:49:01.
Shelton Benjamin was also eliminated by shawn Michael's in the 2008 rumble aswell so that would make 4 consecutive royal rumbles shawn eliminated shelton
HEY NOW!... Dont you say Gillberg was a pointless entry. Thats the longest running light heavyweight champion, and you will respect that man! 😁 Say it along with me... GILLBERG... GILLBERG... GILLBERG! The only true GOAT! 🐐
You want to hear another WILD fact similar to the number 1. Shane McMahon and Gerald Brisco both won their second WWE championship in 2000, hich for both was the Hardcore title and then won their third and final championship in 2019 which was the 24/7 title. Crazy and random coincidences.
Another Rumble fact is that in the 2000s - 2010s The Runner ups ended up being in world title matches at Wrestlemania. The Big Show in 2000 (Was part of the fatal four way at Wrestlemania 2000) John Cena in 2005 (faced JBL for the WWE title at Wrestlemania 21) Randy Orton in 2006 (faced Rey Mysterio and Kurt Angle for the world heavyweight title at Wrestlemania 22) Shawn Michaels in 2007 (Faced John Cena for the wwe title at wrestlemania 23) Triple H in 2008 (Faced Orton and Cena for the wwe title at Wrestlemania 24) Triple H in 2009 (Defended the WWE title against Royal Rumble Winner Randy Orton at Wrestlemania 25) John Cena in 2010 (faced Batista for the WWE title at Wrestlemania 26) Chris Jericho in 2012 (faced CM Punk for the WWE title at Wrestlemania 28) Also the 2006 Royal Rumble is the only Rumble in history where the final 3 competed in World title matches at that year's wrestlemania.
3:13 Correction actually it was the 06,07, and 08 Rumbles that Shelton was elimintaed by HBK. In 2005 he was eliminated in a memorable spot by Edge after he was pushed off top rope.
Adding to all the other comments... Shawn Michaels didn't eliminate Shelton Benjamin in 2005. That was the year he kicked Shelton's head off and killed him during a Raw match XD
The numbers biggest lie is that they continually ignore a certain wresling who won from number 1 they could atleast count in there they don't have to say the guys name
Heres one: Randy Orton & Rey Mysterio both made it to the final 6, in the 2018 & 2019 Rumbles, but neither made it to the Final 4.. in both. So effectively, they came in '5th & 6th' place, in back to back years. But, with the numbers flipped round for the 2019 one. I cant remember who came 5th and 6th in which Rumble.. go look it up if you want.. But it was definitely Randy and Rey in both years!
So why take the Miz's name when there have been people with worse records? Is it because he still stands more relevant than most others in the industry ?

2004 to 2021 is 17 years, not 16. Also, while they weren't even close to being a couple at the time, Edge and Beth Phoenix were in the same Royal Rumble in 2010.
If they haven't already, someone needs to do a one off entrances/ special entrance because John cenas 2006 Royal Rumble entrance is weird and crazy, and the Undertakers and Triple HHH wrestlemania 27 had great one's
as an addendum to #9, the 2010 rumble would have to be the only one where a future married couple (Edge and Beth Phoenix) competed in the same rumble match, right?

This is correct. How can you possibly eliminate Big Show? That's like being able to hit the Attitude Adjustment on him. Impossible.
Chris Benoit eliminated the Big Show at _Royal Rumble 2004..._
Wait a minute, I need some explanation 🤔
2001 says huh?
Ridley Scott has a 4 hour 10 minute directors cut of Napoleon coming out so Punk could link up again.

3:11 I'm gonna be that annoying guy because thats wrong. You mean 06, 07 and 08. Sorry
To this day, I don’t understand how somebody who is already eliminated can then eliminate a person and it be counted as a legit elimination.
It's a rule that they've not always stuck to either. Vader dumped Shawn Michaels (and a bunch of others) in 1996 after being eliminated, and they all just got back in and carried on, with Shawn winning the whole thing.

Shawn Michaels eliminating Shelton Benjamin in 3 consecutive rumbles was something I always remembered
I love these royal rumble videos.
I'm suddenly hoping Dustin Rhodes never competes in a rumble again. 69 mins total time is just too fitting for the Goldust character.
Shelton Benjamin was also eliminated by shawn Michael's in the 2008 rumble aswell so that would make 4 consecutive royal rumbles shawn eliminated shelton
